A damage at the tire which I cannot remember having caused. Within 1 hour on a Sunday you booked a damage claim of EUR 630 (!) with no further detail or information. Never again Locauto!

Awesome and stress-free experience! Staff at both the airport desk and the car pickup were fantastic. Everything was clear and straightforward. I was skeptical after reading some mixed reviews. Seems happy customers just don't post enough. Absolutely recommended!

Good cars, efficient customer service
Customer service process is efficient. The car was well prepared, the check-out and car return took just a few minutes. My pick-up location was Linate Airport where one picks up a car from the multilevel parking next to the terminal. The car was quite new and in a very good condition - good value for money.

Fast, friendly, efficient and no surprises
Great experience with Locauto at Milan Linate. I had registered for Smart Check-In because of a late arrival, and everything worked perfectly — I could walk straight to the parking garage and had my car within 5 minutes. The car itself was brand new. Return was just as smooth, with a simple check-out process and no issues or unexpected charges afterwards. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Highly recommended.

VW Tiguan - Milan to Rome
I rented a VW Tiguan from Milan to Rome, booked through Amex Travel portal. I was skeptical at first seeing some of the reviews on Locauto, but it was too good a deal to pass up. I chatted with an agent via their app to make sure my booking was good 2 days before and the chat agent was very cold and said booking is confirmed but it’s a broker booking so they can share much information, they also said i needed an IDP to pickup the although my Australian license is legally recognised in Italy.
On the contrary, on the day of pickup at Milan Linate airport, everything went smoothly, check-in took 10 mins, car was picked up from the airport car park. Got the same car that’s only done 12k kms, but it had several scratches, but not all of them were recorded on the rental agreement, so I started recording and taking photos. The pickup staff was trying to assure me minor scratches are no issues, but I recorded everything anyway. The car was clean and great to drive, and we dropped off at Rome on time, no issues. The drop off staff did a quick run over, and all minor scratches were ignored as mentioned by staff in Milan.
Overall my experience with Locauto was great, and I’d put them up at par with Sixt. The staff were polite, quick and efficient. Unlike Sixt, they didn’t force sell their expensive insurance or other add ons. I’d definitely hire from them again.

Car was clean and almost new
Car was clean and almost new. The lady at the counter at Milan Linate airport was courteous and helpful, and did not try very hard to upsell their insurance. Returning the car was a breeze, and they did not pick on pre-existing small scratches and imperfections. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Excellent Service and Customer Care
I had made a reservation with another rental company and unfortunately had problems picking up the vehicle. I arrived at Locauto and received excellent service from the representative who resolved my problem immediately. The car was in excellent condition and the pick-up and delivery process was perfect... I will continue renting with you now, you've gained a loyal customer.
