I had a very good experience with the front desk of Locauto group in Milan T-2. After having a problem with another car rental company upon arrival this team was able to rent me a vehicle for 21 days, at a reasonable price and at a fair price. Other companies either had no cars or they wanted an unreasonable rate. I really appreciate the fairness with which I was treated as a customer . In addition my plans changed during the 21 days and the accommodated those changes as well with a simple phone call. I would not hesitate to rent from the again. Thank you

Not fit for purpose car and unreasonable penalty charges
The vehicle broke down on a number of occasions. Some warning lights were explained when we spoke to and visited a Locauto site but the advice given (minor electrical issue not to be concerned about) was not consistent with a car that repeatedly broke down causing increasing stress levels. Recovery vehicle would have taken the car and left us at the side of the road if the car had not managed to start again.
On way back to airport car broke down again and we would have missed our flight standing at the side of the road. Managed to get going again but no confidence that if we stopped it would start again so could not fill up with petrol. Got charged for fuel penalty. Finally the car had done over 70000k and had a good number of minor scratches when we got it, we had no bumps, accidents or scrapes but somehow Locauto charged for a number of “new” issues.

We conduct thorough pre-rental inspections on all our vehicles to ensure they are in proper working order before each handover. However, certain technical or electronic issues—such as an ESC warning light or a license plate light indicator—can unfortunately arise unexpectedly during a trip.
We are deeply sorry for the stress and frustration you experienced due to these breakdown concerns.
This experience was certainly not up to the high standards of service we aim to deliver.

Staff were really helpful
Staff were really helpful, we had a free upgrade to a hybrid vehicle, which I would highly recommend to anyone as I believe it saved us a lot on fuel costs.
All in all I would use again

The pickup location at Milan Airport…
The pickup location at Milan Airport was super helpful. Europcar denied me a rental car and almost ruined my trip but Locauto group was able to take care of me and my family. The price of rental was triple the cost of Europcar but the insurance and toll card came in clutch and was worth getting. Transaction was smooth and fast to pickup. However, the drop off at Malpensa Aeroporto T2 was long they did not have any instructions on what needed to be done. They just had people that was picking up and dropping off in the same line. I waited 30 mins to drop my vehicle off. I don’t think that is efficient. Typically there is lines for pickup and a line for drop off.

Nice car, fast retrieval, friendly stuff
The staff was friendly. There was no line to pick up or drop off the car. The car we got was quite nice and modern. The only downside was that the online registration (i.e., providing the ID, driver's license, etc) didn't work for us, so we had to do it manually at the airport.

It’s great that they now have an office…
It’s great that they now have an office in T2 at MXP. Rental was great, lovely clean and new car. It did take them 30 minutes to have a car ready, which was a little frustrating.
