The service was excellent
The service was excellent, the staff was very friendly, and the waiting time was short. Also, the vehicles were brand new. However, there is a major point for consideration: I booked through Booking.com at what seemed to be an excellent price, but when I arrived at the counter, I was negatively surprised to find out that I had to pay a significant additional amount for comprehensive insurance.

Regarding the insurance coverage, we would like to clarify that protection plans purchased through third-party brokers (such as Booking.com) are excess/deductible reimbursement policies managed directly by the broker. Locauto does not have visibility into third-party insurance products purchased online.
Direct coverages offered at our counter eliminate excess fees upfront in the event of damage or theft, providing complete peace of mind without hidden costs. Our desk staff is fully trained to explain what is included in your rental contract and present these optional direct protections so you have all the information needed, though the choice to add them remains entirely up to you.

Eployees that are willing to look fo the optimal rental car with regards to needs
Good service. The desk waiting time was reasonable and the explanation was good. The friendly receptionist looked for the best car solution with regards to passengers and luggage, as did the employee at the car park (same car but bigger trunk). Check-in and check-out was efficient. The car was great, fairly clean and it brought us where we wanted to go on our road trip with over 2000km. Booking process went through agent (Discover Cars)

I found it annoying that while I had completed the online check-in at reservation of the car, I had to fill out again on a paper form my personal data at the counter of Locauto. But apart from this, the pick-up and drop-off of the car itself went very smoothly and quickly!

The insurance was way too expensive. They charged me more than what I paid for the rent itself and it was absurd. It was not written anywhere that the insurance may cost over 300 euros. I got angry and frustrated just at the beginning of my trip

Locauto are my 1st choice for car rental in Italy
This is the 3rd year in a row that we've used Locauto at Naples airport. We hadn't realised that the process had changed from last year and that there was now an office in the airport building.
No worries, our contract was processed at the car pickup point very promptly. The car was new and clean and ready immediately despite us being a little early for the booking.
We had no issues with the car during the rental and the return process was smooth.
Locauto are my 1st choice for car rental in Italy
