Friendly service, clean car , easy return policy 😉👍🏻

Experience in this location was very good. Nice personnel, good car, easy pickup in convenient location.

However, later I experienced problems with Locauto itself.
I had car booked for 6 nights, return in a different location (Catania).
Because of forced change of plans, I needed to change return location (to Napoli) and return car 1 day earlier than booked.
I was told that the only option is to return my car and book a new one, making a new fully PAID reservation.
So I needed to pay for another car, even though I was returning my original car 2 days earlier and needed the new car only for 1 day, so my rental would end anyway 1 day earlier than originally planned with the first car.
I only received return for unused insurance, needed to pay fully for the new booking.

Quite unhappy about it. I think Locauto could do it better in this case.

I was writing to support hoping for at leats partial refund - rejected.

Apart from this everything was OK...

Bad communication. Force you to go through some old web form to communicate with their customer service and it doesn't even work.

Rental was easy but car broke down on day 9! Now I await my taxi fare of $167 US dollars. We had full coverage and was guaranteed another car and refund for taxi money back to Palermo to pick up new car. Thanks james reyes

The agent that checked us in at Palermo was extremely helpful advising us on parking. The car was newer and in excellent condition. My return was done out of hours at the Catania Airport - no problem - quick confirmation and receipt. The rate was very competitive.

We booked the car (via booking.com) just a day earlier and got a Fiat Panda Cross hybrid, quite new, clean, well maintained. Nice little car. The drive was a good experience. We missed the A/C though (it was supposed to have it).
We were reminded to pick
the car up at 8am sharp but even the staff came a few mins after 8 and helped another customer who arrived before us. We were helped in about 8:15.
The guy helping us was helpful though - he told us the full coverage/insurance from booking.com would be complicated if anything were to happen (having to pay ourselves and claiming the money from third party later) and helped us to cancel it with booking.com and buy the insurance directly from Locauto (for basically the same price).

I got a new car. Procedure was wert fast and The administration was very kind.

Easy to deal with. Guiseppe was very friendly and helpful.

Smooth, great. However they debit your credit card for the deposit althoug you choose otherwise.

New Renault Clio, hassle-free rental, no deposit. Car was rented for two days. Parking the car overnight was no problem. I recommend it 100%.

Well organized, flexible, reasonable

When I pick the car up in Palermo, the girl that attend me was not so helpfull and show not to much desire to attend us. We arrived early and she make a lot of complains before offer me another car. She said the car will be ready only at 10AM. We arrive at 8:30AM. She could be more polite and helpfull at the begining.
When I left the car in Bari, the guy that attend us was very gentle and helpfull. Be more selective with the guys in Palermo (Central Station). Both there were not gentle and give us almost no attention!!!

The process of renting and returning the car is quick, efficient and simple. The car was in excellent condition. Great cooperation!

The car itself had some technical problem from the start. It would have been helpful to know é.g. that the error message in the car menu can be ignored. We sometimes had worries about the car because of this.
We tried to reach you by mail (in the papers have been mentioned two emails) but they didn’t work. To call you was not successful.
Otherwise the service was okay and we could travel to the places we had planned with the car.

Car was good. Rental was fast. Delivery at airport okay.
The information about tanking possibilities at night was not correct. We were told there are very few, but that's not right. So we paid a tank in advance and didn't use it.
Also at the counter insisted to change my full insurance that y had with booking, for the insurance of locauto, that is much more expensive.

After Locaute gave us neutral and unbiased information about the options available, we opted for full comprehensive cover with no excess, given the reckless driving on Palermo's roads. We took delivery of the car Palermo Notarbartolo in good condition and, fortunately, were able to return it without any formalities.
