Overall, an easy process and everything was explained by the efficient lady in the office. My son used a different international company in Siena and had the opposite. Look at the reviews and go Locauto. Same great experience when we dropped off in Florence! Recommended!

The pick up of the cars in and explanation of the contract was done well. We were able to have reserved two automatic cars, have additional drivers added and to drop of one car in Rome from Siena. However, the driver seat of one car was broken; it would not pull forward, so that driver had to use pillows to be propped forward. This was shown to an agent before taking the car and they fixed it once but it did not work after leaving the rental car agency in Siena. We were traveling with older people in their late 70's and 80's. After a long transport from Rome they desperately needed to use a restroom. Denied at Locauto they went to Hertz who graciously allowed them to use their facility. Locauto only has an employee restroom. But these ladies did not mind what it was. When we returned the cars, one attendant allowed the ladies to use the restroom, but the male attendant of Locauto yelled at the women to get out because his I-pad was in the space.

COSTUMER SERVICE WAS GREAT, FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE RENTEL TO THE RETURNING, BOTH GUYS WERE VERY ATTENTIVE AND HELPFUL, IM DEFINITELY RECOMMENDING THIS TO ALL MY PEOPLE!

Picking up and dropping off was very easy. The key is to reserve in advance and arrive on the time you reserved for pick up. Although I reserved an automatic, only a manual was available at the time of pick up.

The drop off was the locauto office in Siena. Make sure to drop off in advance if you're catching a train. Taxis and busses are far and few in-between. Dload the moovit app for a taxi pick up but be warned, it took a while before a taxi accepted our reservation.

Very disappointing as rented car for 5days. On day one after driving few kilometres to siena we had a puncture. After waiting for repair service for 3 hours, left car taxi back to hotel. As the hire company in not open until Monday, no car for weekend. After waiting to midday on Monday received a car.As car insurance was to Wednesday, car had to be returned by midday. Total use of car 2.5 days

It was a very straight-forward, easy-going experience. Marta was very helpful, she explained everything very clearly. We got a GPS, which proved very helpful. The car ran smoothly, without any problems. Highly recommended

Our vehicle ended up being a manual. We found this detail out after extending our rental for an extra day. We kindly requested if we could exchange it for an automatic and they stated there were none available. We used the vehicle for one day and returned it a day early due to the difficulty of a manual transmission. We’ve kindly requested that they refund us for the unused extra day and no one has addressed the refund. I would be extremely diligent with the details of your rental before using this company!

No trying to upsale insurance and pick up and drop off process quite smooth.

Locauto staff were all friendly from the day I walked in the door, made a booking and then when I had to change it slightly the week before the trip. Nothing a trouble, very thoughtful with suggestions of what I needed. When I came to pick up the car it was smooth, pleasant, and clear. I felt I was in very good hands from start to finish. Special thanks for finding me wallet on the ground when I dropped if after I brought the car back! This is a good company!

Rome location was great.
Siena employee stole my wallet. Accidentally left it in car and when came back all employees said they had not seen it. It was in employees jacket with 100 euro missing. I only found it because i had a tracker inside of it. Watch out!

Staff were very helpful and organised taxis for us including arranging a pickup for the following day when no one else would

Easy to rent through the Discovercars app. The car had more than a few flaws but I was informed by them about the flaws. No problem with the car during the renting days.
I recommend to take as much videos and/or photos of the car, for your peace of mind.
They don't charge you a deposit.
Everything went smoothly otherwise.
