Great customer service and great cars. Antonela was very helpful with the car pick up and the delivery was also seamless.

I had a horrendous experience with Locauto. To start with, the car given to me was very much different in terms of class. I asked for an SUV but I was given an Estate wagon which was uncomfortable to get into. I asked for my class but was denied the same. I had no choice to accept as I had to travel to another place. At the time of pickup, I did not realise that the car tyre had a miniscule puncture which the sensor also could not pick up. After driving to Verona, I found that there was a flat tyre. I got the tyres checked but figured that the problem was more complex. When I reported this to roadside assistance, Locauto assured me that they will send a repair truck and in case they could not repair, they will offer me a replacement. The repair truck did come but could not resolve the issue. They replaced the tyre with the non standard spare. They asked me to drive on to Bologna for a replacement car, which I did even though I was on a non standard spare tyre. This is when the part 2 of the nightmare started. At the car return, the assistant, instead of amending my contract cancelled the contract. They made me wait for 2 hours to prepare a fresh contract and handover the new vehicle. My entire schedule of the day was jeopardised. Added to that I got a shock when I found out that they billed me 200 Euros for sending a repair truck which could not resolve the issue. I raised a protest but figured out the entire system is rigged to make sure that they charge you an extra amount. Locauto will lure you with low rates but dont be fooled as you will end up paying through your nose an amount which you have never anticipated. Pls avoid such unscrupulous operator.

Super Service

This is the first time we have use Locauto & we were very impressed with their service. Picking the car up & dropping off was easy. The staff were fabulous to deal with & we were given the option of hiring the car for 12 hours as we were doing a day trip & would be dropping the car off within the 12 hours.

I was not able to turn down the Waze volume on the panel. There were no instruction

There were no instruction in how to access the garage building to return the car on Sunday. We had to pay garage at the hotel

The guy at the office was excellent in his service. The car was an equivalent to what we ordered, which is as per their policy. Whilst it drove ok it was obviously overdue for a service. Pick up and drop off location is excellent if you’re coming by train

Car was fine, but App was insufficient, could not pay with credit card, had to pay 20 Euro more by handin back, but some price we had to pay by pick up …..

The assistant was great and the location of your office suited me.

Everyone was very nice at the car rental place. There was some damage on the car which i thought was clearly marked on the forms. Turns out i was wrong. The guy did say take a video. When I returned it at another Locauto in Venice, the guy noticed the damage but said the document showed damage to the wheel not the surrounding area. It clearly was old damage because no scraping or paint damage, just a little bump out of the car frame above the wheel frame. But the form only said wheel so I was on hook for $500 euro. It also felt like he wanted me to take responsibility for damage to the rear bumper. That at least was marked properly. Lesson learned. Take a full video of every detail of the car. Otherwise u might be taken advantage of.

Christian in Trieste couldn’t have been more helpful as was Leonardo when we dropped the car off in Rome. Great value for money and easy instructions to follow. Absolutely incredible.

It was easy to get the vehicle at Trieste. The employee really helped me to understand all the contract conditions.

Great service, friendly staff

The contract was promised to be sent by email. It was not sent. All emails to the company is redirecting me from one website to another. I cannot receive the original contract. My request of the damage report to be shared with me is also ignored. The post rental communication is dreadful, nobody cares after the deal is done.

I recommend these rental companies

The car we got was quite new, but it was unable to drive properly through the steep hills in Triest, Italy. Everything in the car was set to Turkish, so we couldn't understand what was written and we were unable to change it back to English. Also every time when we would go 110 km/h it would say that the engine is overheating. So in the end we were unfortunately not happy with the car.
