Lola’s began back in 2006 with a simple aim: to bake beautiful, fresh cakes every day. Starting as a small bakery, we quickly grew and went on to open flagship store in Selfridges and, today, we have over 30 locations in and around London!

I am sorry it tasted dry and not perfect.
We do recommend having our cakes at room temperature which can take up to 3 hours out of the fridge to soften up.

Nice Presentation but Not the Best Flavor
I cannot say the experience was perfect. I recently ordered a birthday cake for my baby; it looked nice and was acceptable. However, I suggest skipping the jam inside the layers because it was quite sour and changed the overall taste.
I also tried the chocolate fudge cake, and unfortunately I would not recommend it. It wasn’t very tasty, and most of my guests didn’t like it.
Additionally, I wanted to add another cake to my order, but the staff made the process quite complicated and I couldn’t clearly understand the instructions. Otherwise, I tried to make the change two days before my collection date.

I am sorry the staff at the store made it a complicated process, we do try to make it easy to order with a team member.
We do offer the option to skip the jam for those who are not a fan, many do like the sour taste which counteracts the sweetness of the buttercream icing.
I am going to email you shortly as it would be nice to know more about your experience in store as well as what wasn't quite right about the fudge cake.

Beautiful cake, good overall experience
The cake looked beautiful and exactly as expected. Collection was smooth and my 2-year-old was very happy with it, which was the most important thing 😊
The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the taste felt more commercial than homemade. It was nice, but not exceptional. Overall, a good experience.

Delicious cakes and easy to order
Very easy to order and a great selection of cakes. I had the fresh berry cake which was delicious - nice and moist and not overly sweet. Service at the Canary Wharf branch was excellent as always! Lola's is always my go-to for celebration cakes!
