Excellent service from start to finish. Grant visited to measure and advise on best soundproofing system for our lounge party-wall, next to noisy neighbour. Team (Wayne, Kieran and Chris) arrived on the day of installation, ahead of time, and carried out an extremely professional and tidy job. The result is first class - a few days later and no sound from next door now (so far so good). Alex (plasterer), recommended by NNM, arrived the following day and equally completed a very professional and efficient job. We are very pleased to recommend Grant and his team - we only wish we had decided to get the work done sooner.

Grant came over an gave a very balanced and realistic overview what system he thought would provide the best results for our situation (Ground floor flat with noisy exposed floorboards above bedroom). In our case this was the independant ceiling.

His team arrived promptly. Shout out to Chris who came back the next day to complete some snagging.

I had an independent ceiling system installed in a bedroom. Very impressed from start to finish - Grant handled the initial consultations and quote, which were clear and detailed. Chris completed the installation. Both were a pleasure to deal with. The work itself was efficient, professional and top quality. I used Alex (recommended on the initial quote) for the follow up plastering/painting and also very happy with his work. Would happily recommend.

We got the batten wall system. Grant was helpful in making decisions and gave us a realistic sense of what to expect in terms of noise reduction from next door (not to expect to hear nothing afterwards), and I would say that the finished product has had a bigger impact than I expected based on what he said.

We had the batten wall system installed across our dining room party wall. The guys arrived on time, were friendly, efficient and professional. The soundproofing only took a morning to install and we are very impressed with the finished job.

Once we have had the wall plastered and skirting board and coving replaced by a tradesman recommended by NNM it really won’t be visible that the wall has been soundproofed. We are very grateful to them and can highly recommend this company.

I am so pleased with the soundproofing NNm Soundproofing installed. I have a basement flat which I let. When we first converted the basement we had the ceiling soundproofed but it was obviously not working as television and general noise could be heard. Grant went through all the options and I decided to have MLV100 membrane and 15mm dB boards laid on top of the floor boards in the sitting room above the basement. The television can no longer be heard even when it is on full volume. Success!

My upstairs neighbour had their flat renovated and the soundproofing got dramatically worse, in the end it was obvious soundproofing my ceiling would ensure a good result and future-proof against future changes.

The results are amazing, you still hear noise but totally tolerable and well within what you'd expect in a period flat. They no longer sound like they're in the room! Very happy with the results in both my bedrooms.

Also referred them to my sister who has had noise issues for years - again she is incredibly happy with the results.

I recently bought a Victorian Conversion ground floor flat. The upstairs landlord ripped out the carpets and replaced them with wooden flooring and the impact noise from upstairs was unbearable. Plus their daughter liked to do 5am workouts, directly above my head, and made it clear from the day i moved in that they wouldn't stop doing this. Grant came round to assess the situation and was really patient, explained my options and didnt try to upsell, explaining that the most expensive option would look awful as it would be too low. I opted for the Iso Hanger ceiling and was very aware it would not eliminate all noise but should vastly reduce it.

I am so happy to say i actually cannot hear a thing from upstairs anymore! It way exceeded my expectations especially given what he said and what other reviewers said. I no longer have to sleep on an air bed in my summer house. His team Kieran and Tom were really polite and professional, calling me in to show me the different stages of their work and even managed to work in a really tight, awkward space above some stupidly designed fitted wardrobes by making some contraption to slide the boards into place. Amazing work, i cannot praise them enough.

We moved into a Georgian flat conversion and quickly found out that the sound transmission between the flat upstairs and ours was awful! We could hear talking, music, TV. The worst problems were very heavy footfall from upstairs, which we could literally feel vibrating in the walls and floor of our flat, and creaking floorboards which were so loud that we couldn’t sleep.

We contacted several companies and NNM was the only company that offered to come out for free to assess the situation. Grant arrived on time and discussed the options. He gave advice which seemed honest. Other companies suggested doing expensive work that Grant explained probably wouldn’t improve the situation. He explained that a good idea would be to attempt to fix the floor upstairs and live with it for a while before deciding if more work to our ceiling would be needed.

He also didn’t over promise, like other companies did.

We felt good about Grant’s advice and we booked his team in to work on the floors in the flat upstairs which we were told would take 5 days. We opted to install mineral wool between the joists, fix the floorboards, and lay triple barrier mats down.

His team (Tom and Kevin) arrived on time every day and were polite and hard working. They were friendly and frequently offered to show us their progress as they went. They explained what they were doing and why. They found some snags and fixed them, even though it was clearly a challenge given the age and deterioration of the floor. They were absolutely great and finished ahead of schedule, leaving everything clean when they were finished.

I could hear them thoroughly testing their work: they would fix an area of floor and then stomp around, testing that the creaking was eliminated.

The result is great: our flat no longer shakes when the tenants walk around; the floorboard creaking is gone.

In line with Grant’s advice, the work has not entirely eliminated all of the noise. We can still hear voices, but only during nighttime when other background noises are lower. The tenants are night owls. There’s also a very minor amount of crackling which we think is coming from the original joists of the building, and isn’t something that’s fixable.

That being said, the reduction is exactly as Grant explained.

The plan is to hire them to work on our ceiling if the remaining noises bother us after living with it a bit. But right now, we are thoroughly satisfied and would recommend NNM to anyone in need of soundproofing.

These guys were great. They arrived on time, worked cleanly and efficiently, finishing as per their estimate. Grant was fantastic at running thorough the options during the initial quote, and the results speak for themselves. The airborne noise from our upstairs neighbours is dramatically reduced to the point where you would have to concentrate very hard to hear anything, (compared to hearing full conversations before the soundproofing) while impact noise has been reduced by about 50%. Very pleased with the results and would recommend the team to anyone.

NNM Soundproofing are a fantastic soundproofing company who deliver. Back on February they significantly reduced the impact noise from the flat above mine by creating an additional soundproofed ceiling under my existing one. Following a recent water leak in my flat which caused some ceiling damage. The team came back and patched up the damage very quickly. I honestly can't recommend this company enough.

Grant was great on the initial visit. He explained options and went into detail on how different materials would dampen sound.
The guys who came to do the work were efficient & friendly.

Really fantastic! The initial consultation was really helpful and they even managed to work around my awkward work hours by coming at the crack of dawn. The instillation went really smoothly and the guys installing were great, they were really professional and just lovely too. I am really impressed by the work they have done and the clean up they did at the end of the works. They were really helpful in helping to move large furniture.
