Make sure you are buying want you want

Original order process was ok, although delivery charge was high it was reduced when I queried it. However, the light fittings I had ordered were not fire resistant, as I had thought (not mentioned either way on the product description). So I wanted to return them, and got a returns number and sent them off. Luma had no reasonably priced versions of the correct type and size available, so I asked for a refund. A week after they had been received back (I used Parcelforce 48 hour tracked service - £13) I had to chase to get my refund processed - which it was, almost immediately. But it turned out that they had deducted the original delivery charge from my refund, something I've not experienced before. In fact, some companies even give free returns without question. I assume it's legal to deduct the carriage charge, but means I'm very unlikely to use them again.

Good stuff.

I am always wary of buying from a retailer I don't normally use , especially when the prices are so competitive, but I am so pleased to have found Luma Lighting. My first order was modest but I was so impressed with the quality of the merchandise and delivery that I have just placed another more substantial order. Luma will be my first port of call for lighting needs in future. Highly recommended.

Shortcomings of Luma order and admin process.

Initially I was impressed when I rang for assistance to find the right bulbs for thr bulk head light I wanted to purchase. The person I spoke to told me how to select the appropriate bulb; and stated he would check it was the correct bulb when I had submitted my order on-line.
Unfortunately the wrong bulb was delivered.
The second issue concerns your customer service / admin proces. I chose to use your own email entry system to advise of the bulb issue. The email system states a response in 2 hours. This was definitely not the case. Luma only seemed to respond when I sent an email a few days after I received delivery of the order.
At present Luma has apologised and informed that the correct bulbs are being sent to me.

Expensive postage

2 x MR16 LV Lampholders (LHGU53) @ £1.56, so small and light a second class stamp would have done! Postage £4.95 Total £6.51

Thanks for your comment, it is something we are aware of, and next year we are having a new website built that will allow us to offer different shipping options.

To be honest, what we normally do on these lamp holders is offer to post out, but just explaining that it may be longer for delivery as we ask a member of staff to take to a post box on their way home or into work.
We work on an industrial estate with no post box at hand.

Yours was missed, please be advised we shall be issuing a refund for the shipping today for you.

Great Service - Pico LED Spotlights

I spoke to the sales team for some general advice and stock availability and they were particularly helpful. Agreed to send my order in two packages as they would have to order further stock to fulfil my order.

A slight hiccup on the initial delivery but it was addressed in superfast time after one brief call. Errors happen, it's how you deal with them that counts.

I would use again without hesitation.
