12 December 2025, I transferred money from my Handelsbanken account to my Lunar account, and then from Lunar to my Revolut account. All accounts are in my own name. The only mistake I made was not sending the funds directly to Revolut.
Since then, my money has effectively disappeared.
Despite providing proof of transaction, proof of ownership, and bank statements, I cannot see my previous transactions and still do not have access to my funds. As of 19 December 2025, I have received no clear explanation of where my money is or when this will be resolved.
Because of this delay, I will not be able to buy Christmas gifts for my family, which has caused a great deal of stress and disappointment during what should be a family time.
This has been the worst banking experience I have had. Lack of transparency, slow handling, and no clear communication have made the situation much worse.
I am sharing this review to warn others to be careful, even when transferring money between your own bank accounts. I sincerely hope Lunar resolves this urgently and improves their customer support.

Tried to open up a business account for a tiny private investment holding (15k in assets)
Lunar bothered me with numerous silly KYC questions with very short deadlines and without clear process. Also all by email rather than well structured online.
Bottom line: they are more bureaucratic than traditional banks, not less.
I'm gonna use Airwallex or now instead - so much better.

Its very difficult to run a company, if its turn out well Lunar start asking questions about whwre you get your money even if you have traditional invoices they stop you from making deals. You cant send over money, they lock your creditcard. The worst is that you must try to solve all problems via a bad ai service. Then if you use Lunar to scan all invoices. If you change bank you need to download tgem one by one even if you are connected to Bokia or Fortnox. I CHANGE away from Lunar after one year

I chose Lunar Business when I started my company since they didnt have the 2500 sek startup fees and the monthly costs were very low.
Now we're a year in and i'm going to switch to another bank as soon as possible after this happened:
I tried to make an online purchase that I need asap but the total purchase amount was just over 31.000 sek. I got an error in the checkout stating that "transaction exceeds withdrawal limit". It's a safety measure. I get that. So i wanted to raise the limit temporarily. That's not possible.
What is the limit then, you might ask? Cause that info is not available on the page where you compare the vailable plans: the error message i got stated 2000 kr for a "15-17" plan (whatever that might be) and 5000 kr for a light or standard plan. Which turns out to be the private banking plans.
I wrote a question to the AI agent and that responded that the limit was actually 30.000 per day for card purchases. Which is very low for a business account, but okay.
Then the AI agent said "[...] If you need to make a larger purchase, let me know the reason for the purchase, the exact amount, who the recipient is, and if you have any supporting documents (like an invoice or order confirmation). I can then help you forward your request to customer support for a temporary limit increase".
Problem solved, right? After providing all the info the AI bot switched languages and said "thanks, we'll respond within 2-3 days". HOW LONG??
After two days i get a response from a "human". I highly doubt this was an actual human. Best case an prefab autoresponse:
"Hi there,
Your card limit is based on your plan. For Simple, the daily limit is 30,000 SEK, but for Essential and Limitless, it is 100,000 SEK.
To complete this payment, please upgrade your plan 🙏
Here’s how to change your plan: [...]"
I saw my phone light up when I got this message and immediately responded, but the chat already ended with a "please rate your conversation".
ARGH!
Tl;dr:
- Unreasonable limits on (card)purchases that can deadlock your company.
- Slow help
- Contradicting information
If you're considering using Lunar as business bank; please don't. Pay the 2500sek starting costs at a decent bank that's run by people, not robots.

Was recommended LUNAR by new employer in Denmark: instead i got bunch of problems. Initial registration led me to Swedish Lunar, which is not what my employer needed. The first foundational question when in the an app derailed everything. It's like "Select your country". Since I live in sweden, i chose sweden, how TF i am supposed to know?
Now a whole month later I am not getting paid, and i have to apply again for Danish account. Great: "my address was not found", and now its manual review of Personbevis. I will have to wait for the skat.dk or borger.dk to process my NemKonto application, which took the like 3 weeks to send me a letter, and meanwhile I am out of money.
Also I absolutely HATE the lack of functional website. Everything is done via smartphone only. What is this, some teenager crypto app?

im travelling soon , i have transfer my money from lunar to my revolut because i going vacitions and they ask me the purpose of my transfer i explein to them and they dont respond to me , i even provide my ownership of my revolut and they dont help me , my money stuck there for no reason and soon im going holidays and i dont hvae money . this is terrible i dont know what to do. is been for 20 november and till today i dont have my money in my revolut and in saturday i hvae my holidays .

I have made a EURO international transaction inside EU and that didnt went through and money returned back after 2 weeks to my account and another time again didnt worked. Seems not working as normal banks. with swish and inside sweden is fine, but outsite is 0. Dont lay on lunar to send or recive money internationally!

I am extremely disappointed with Lunar. They are currently holding my own money and refusing to let me transfer it back to my Swedbank account, despite repeated requests.
Their app is glitchy and unreliable—when I tried to upload the required verification documents through the official upload feature, it simply wouldn’t work. After hours of frustration, I managed to send the documents via their in-app “Safe Chat” (which they claim is secure), yet nothing has moved. No confirmation, no update, no resolution.
It’s been days, and I still can’t access or move my own funds. This feels like financial hostage-taking, not banking. For a company that markets itself as modern and user-friendly, the reality is the opposite: poor technical infrastructure, zero transparency, and no real customer support.
I trusted Lunar with my money, and now I regret it deeply. Do not deposit significant funds here unless you’re prepared to potentially lose access to them. I urge Lunar to fix their broken systems and release customers’ money immediately.
