No Data
I called multiple times, never had any data.
I used two different sims but it never worked, then I could not turn off the auto - renewal system I had to call and spend 15 minutes arguing with the person to end the auto-renewal.

The data is unstable, most of the time calls on WhatsApp etc gets disturbance. My Uber app doesn’t work on Lyca data which is strange. Download speed is too slow.

I purchased a pay as you go esim. However, it was not working when I installed it and I tried to get assistance. After many attempts on their online chat line, I finally got through to someone and a process with a reference number was created. They advised that it would be resolved within 24 hours. It was NOT resolved and I have made countless attempts over the course of 3 days to chat with a live agent and the system keeps timing out. For a supposed communications company, their system and service is dirt poor. I will never purchase from them again!!!

1. The company doesn't let me to deactivate automatic monthly renewal. When I try I get an error: "Request is already in pending state". But still I see that autorenewal is active
2. And the same way I can't delete my credit card from the list of saved cards.
3. If I pay with a credit card the website saves it without giving me an option not to save the card. And after that it doesn't let me remove it
Comment: TrustPilot is not giving me an option to respond, but gives an option to edit my review. I was already mentioning the error message in my initial post. When I try to deactive auto prolongation I get this message: "Request is already in pending state".
This request is in pending state since yesterday and I still can't cancel autoprolongation

Lyca stoped allowing the use of the mobile data as hotspot. I used to be able to use my Lyca mobile data as wifi source for my laptop and that is no longer allowed. Due to that I am changing mobile provider.

My experience with Lyca Mobile has been bad because the mobile data service is very poor. It feels like my phone went back to using 3G or even worse. Pages take a long time to load. This happens both in major city centers, such as Porto where the network should be better, and in more remote areas, which shows that the problem is not related to location.
Regular calls have average quality, but there are some numbers I cannot even call. The network signal is also often weak in many locations.

I’m having a major issue with Lyca Portugal. I have been wrongfully charged 15 times, costing me a total of €151 which should have been cancelled and refunded a long time ago, but I have not been able to get in contact with customer service whatsoever for 5 months! I have been emailing customer service and complaints with every detail they may need, with no response. I cannot call the number or get any response from anyone and I continue to be wrongfully charged constantly for Esims.

Dilma organised the changeover of my payment card.
It's not logical and I hope that I don't have to pay more as a result.
Thanks. ☺

Terrible company and customer service. The Internet in roaming would not work, no matter what I do. The internet and voice quality at home is terrible as well.

DISCLAIMER: I know this story will sound ridiculous and exaggerated, but I’m actually downplaying it to keep it shorter. I can provide proof with pictures and videos.
I went to Portugal and bought this Lycamobile eSIM for 1 month, or at least that was the goal. This company adds a ton of friction, or even purposefully makes things buggy, to prevent you from unsubscribing from their service. This is not honorable behavior for a company in 2026.
I will list all the mistakes, or the ways they made my life difficult:
1) When buying their eSIM online, they force you to sign up with auto-renewal and literally give no way to opt out before buying, even though the package is called “pay-as-you-go.” Deceptive behavior.
2)After supposedly cancelling using *190# at the end of my vacation (the screen on my phone said I stopped auto-renewal—I’m 100% sure), I discovered one month later that Lycamobile charged 4 euros again. This is despite the fact that I emailed their customer support to ask whether auto-renewal had really been canceled and whether the contract was over. They did not answer those emails (they had 20+ days to answer to allow me to avoid paying again for no reason).
3) Since *190# seemed not to work, I had to create an account and logged in on their website to try to cancel auto-renewal there. The website is bugged and seems to indicate it is turned off in some places and on in others. I literally cannot turn off auto-renewal through the website. However, I managed to cancel it through *190# this time. Maybe the *190# method doesn’t work if you buy the pay-as-you-go package as a guest?
4) Anyway, I wanted to remove my card too from their website since I don’t trust them not to take money from me again. GUESS WHAT? Despite the fact it was clearly written that auto-renewal was off, I could not remove my card from their website. Instead, I got a pop-up saying “Card is already mapped for renewal.” At this point, this was starting to be an absolute disaster. It made removing the card even more important.
5) I contacted their support through web chat. Their AI bot is not very smart, so I asked for human agents, who came on average after 15 minutes, which I consider good. However, the chat was completely useless for removing my card. At some point, the human agent even wrote “Connectivity is bad” and then left me with the AI chatbot again. This is ridiculous. I’m not joking. I can provide pictures if someone requires them.
6) I had to contact their specific “DPO” email address and threaten them, which quickly got their customer support to finally answer my numerous emails and my request to remove my card. After one day, my card was finally removed. If only I got a quick answers like that from the start, everything would have been fine.
In conclusion, this experience was extremely bad, took a lot of time to get solved, and made me hateful enough to write this very long review. The friction they add to the process of leaving is not worth the cheap eSIM. Also, I don’t think I will get my 4 euros back for the additional month charged, but I will update this part of the review if I do.
Edit: They ended up reimbursing the additional month charged. Added 1 star since it was done easily.

great, cheap, good app, but the Hotspot is not working anymore if i have to give it to my laptop or another phone, which is a minus.
and the phone reception is not always great. Thanks a lot! great service still.
much love!

I asked to cancel my subscription by email and was still charged again for a service I can't even access.
I can't log in, password recovery doesn't work, and there's no way to stop the payments. Charging customers for something they can't use is unacceptable.
If this isn't refunded and cancelled immediately, I'll be taking legal advice. Avoid Lyca Mobile at all costs.

has online registration and non binding contracts which puts them ahead of all pt mobile providers. used for 1+ month.
update:
some people say the provider used for scams, so it is not a problem of provider i think.
if major providers would behave more honestly(no extortion of money from foreigners, forcing useles servies, and holding 2 years contracts at high prices and penalties) and transparently(100% usable covering all web or mobile interface), there would be so much of biz for lycamobile here in portugal.
