Turned up at my house this morning to hand over a letter saying they will be sending someone round to take my belongings , for a debt that is not in our households name and has nothing to do with any one in the house , took my wife's name as I had already left for work so they could check it against the voting register . Would it not be an idea to these checks before signing agreements with fairy tale people ? Funny thing is it's for driving insurance payment default .. none of us even drive or have full licence we have lived here for over 10 years and no one by the name they are hunting is known to us . Multiple letters have been returned to sender with (not at this address ) the legalised thiev responded with the standard "those can get lost in post " translates as " yeah we ignore those "

I was initially startled to receive a message from Marston Debt Recovery as I didn’t believe I had anything to pay. Upon speaking to Ellie, who was very helpful and sweet it came down to letters being sent to a previous address and my bill had gone to £618! I realised I forgot to make a Dartford Tunnel payment and because I didn’t receive any letters thought nothing of it. I did pay the amount in full to stop bailiffs coming to my home. This will teach me a lesson to not forget to pay my dart charge! Thanks again Ellie.

Thieves is what they are

Thieves is what they are, after I've paid £547 last two months, another scumbag came to my door this morning to ask for £941 which I explained I don't have as I'm a struggling mum of two, I used my son's secondary school savings to pay for the first billing and now they came for another one, the thief that came today took away my car, that's the only thing I have left that's making money for me but now I'm left with nothing, no means of getting the kids to school or going to work myself. Unreasonable set of people that are selfish and self centered, they only care about themselves and their useless company

Disgrace doesn't cut it

Disgrace doesn't cut it.

After coming home from spinal surgery to discover a horrible letter, demanding for me to pay £800. I called, explained my circumstances and they didn't care. The man on the phone was very intimidating and made me feel so pathetic. I felt pressured to set up a big payment plan (putting me out of pocket. I then find a letter on my door from a enforcement offer. (He didn't even knock) to the discover that they were gonna charge me another £190 for dropping of the letter. Made me sick to my stomach.

I've paid the full amount, feeling stressed, upset and annoyed with how they've made me feel.

These people are definitely not human.. very unkind.

You don't know what happens behind closed doors, they don't know your story, so they definitely need to work on their customer care skills.

Beware of some of their workers fine you for no good reason.

This company workers are stupid in the head, I parked my car this late morning, board said you can parked maximum up to 2 hours. I went to go get something & return in the next 30 minutes. I see this ticket officer saying you can’t park here, like mate the board said you can & it didn’t disclosed any relevant information regarding you can’t park here. Wow the guy actually gave me a ticket, some people really need glasses to see the board. I always knew why this company gets negative reviews cause some of your workers don’t play fair, we all know they just want to make some money out of you. In my eyes this company is classified as the worst, even the 1 rating about them proves how terrible & mess up their system is.

If I could give -5 stars I honestly…

If I could give -5 stars I honestly would. TERRIBLE company. Back in January, they didn’t take my direct debit out because it got cancelled. This was because in previous months I had paid before the direct debit had to be taken out. Obviously, I did NOT know it got cancelled, because why would it? I’m not going to sit there like an idiot updating my bank every 10 seconds waiting for money to be taken out. Literally a couple of days later, I get Mr Allen putting a letter in postbox saying I have to pay a fee of hundreds of pounds otherwise they’re going to come to my property to remove goods. The letter was not in an envelope, which is very unprofessional, considering I live in a flat and others could see it. Anyways, I message Mr Allen for a call back. Mr Allen Calls me, being quite rude (also very unprofessional) and says he’s driving and will call me back in half an hour. I do not get the call ( what a surprise!!). I call him another 3 times and he does not pick up. The next day, I get the same letter. I messaged him to get a call back AGAIN and get no answer AGAIN. I message him saying I do not have the money, he says “have a nice weekend” 😂 Terrible. I wrote a complaint and got a reply from a lovely, professional lady Celine White. She had apologised and offered me a refund. I accepted the apologies and the refund but surprisingly again got no reply. Wrote another complaint, no reply. On my third complaint at the moment, just hoping to get lucky. If I could close the company, that would be the first thing on my to do list.

I’ve been fighting cancer and told them so but was told by letter and phone that it’s absolutely no excuse not to pay your bill and when you die we will hound your family and friends to pay it I’ve had no apologies whatsoever no acknowledgment whatsoever no accountability whatsoever An enforcement officer did attend my house and was angry and disgusted that he had been sent when I was so ill and vulnerable Marstons you are an absolute disgrace by management justifying these actions You need stopping and hopefully one day will be No wonder you get such bad reviews you seem to be doing nothing to improve your actions Disgusting behaviour

Southwark Council sell their debts to this company. Marstons have a rogue called MARK working for them or an individual calling himself Mark using Marston’s stationary to illegally obtain payments. My friend coffed up £514 and this matter is currently being investigated.

Scam company

Scam company. Marston's claim to be ethical but unbeknownst to their clients, outsource their enforcement to smaller, less credible businesses and individuals. These outsourced bailiffs, then use the Marston logo on their letters and essentially do and say whatever they like, masquerading as a larger, more credible company. Outsourced bailiffs are unreasonable, dishonest and will lie and intimidate to extort as much money as quickly as possible as they are motivated to do so with cash incentives. Don't let them bully you, fight them, make complaints, tell your local authority how they behave.

Scammers

Scammers, I paid them 1000's to collect a debt for me, They couldn't collect it and now demanding me to pay them for services they didn't provide. Scammers stay away from this company. go to Lowell instead, they're much better and actually ethical. theyve inoviced me £8,000 for small debt that they coulnd't collevct, the agreement was £2,500. but they couldn't collect and now theyt want me to pay for services. Its sickening really. Staw away from these scammers. especially the ginger beardy boy that loves to bully old men for £1. Not his fault, his family was trash and taught him so. ginger beardy boy is also part of the LGBTQ crew

This company is obnoxious

I am an extremely ill disabled person.

Marstons tried to take my car for someone else debt. They didn't want to see any ownership evidence, they just really, really liked my car and wanted it.

The whole ordeal lasted four hours. Within hour one, the tow bridge company made things clear to Marstons "get that clamp off that car right now". It then took the tow bridge company and myself a further three hours to demand the clamp is removed and kindly do one.

They are pure animals. They threatened to have me arrested which is amusing as we were planning to have them arrested. Unfortunately the clamp came off before the Police could get to the property.

Illegal thuggery.
