From our headquarters in Dartford, Kent, and our European depot in Estepona, Spain, we offer a wide range of services to suit all budgets and requirements, including UK and International Removals & Shipping, long and short-term storage, packing and unpacking, and piano and Fine Art handling. We are fully insured, and our dedicated team of experienced and professional removals experts will take care of your belongings, from the first phone call, through the planning process and on to your move itself, with the utmost care and attention. We understand that moving can be a stressful time, so we will do everything we can to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible. We also offer a bonded Customs Warehouse service for international removals, saving you cost and effort when dealing with HMRC. Highly recommend MJ
I needed to move and being disabled it was very stresssful. I emailed MJ and Max was speedy in his response and gave me a competitive quote. Max was very patient with me and I had some changes to my inventory as there was more then i expected. Max was a credit to the team. I was notified and knew to expect the team to start the removal.
The removal guys came on time, George and Stuart who were very professional and I was overwhelmed with the task of moving. They really helped a lot. Told them what needed moving and they did the rest and kindly took some additional stuff into my storage unit. They also disassembled my beds and when completed took my furniture to my new address and reassembled my bed then moved on and took the remainder of my furniture to the self storage. I am so thankful for their kindness, patience and help with everything as moving is extremely stressful and they minimised this.

Absolutely fantastic- both service from the sales team and those who collected and carried our precious goods. Even though we had wrapped everything our selv, they did it one more time so everything was fully secured from dust, dirty hands etc. fast response when we had questions and pick up and delivery exactly as agreed. Excellent and reliable
Having moved around the world several times I consider myself quite the connoisseur of international moving. Therefore I can really say that my best international move so far was with Matthew James. For the first time ever (!) nothing went missing, no furniture was damaged and everything went as planned and better ! The moving men were nice, clean and motivated. Nothing was too much and they went above and beyond to get everything done on both sides. Special mention to Andy, who on the Belgian side, made sure that everything was satisfactory even though it was past 9 at night. If you value your personal belongings and you want your move to be done by professionals then do yourself a favour and book this company.

Absolutely outstanding
Absolutely outstanding! From the moment I first made an enquiry to the moment I unpacked my crates! I had so many breakable items packed I was expecting a few breakages but - there were NONE!!! Testament indeed to their excellent packing and careful handling of my valued possessions from Spain back to UK!!
Their all in price too was very competitive when compared to cheaper quotes that did not include taxes etc.
Their van drivers/packers and office staff are ultra efficient & polite. All my emails were answered almost immediately.
I would have no hesitation in using Matthew James again and to giving them my highest recommendation.

It is quite a risk trusting a company you have never used before to store and then ship your household items to another country. However Matthew James Removals did a wonderful job for my family. Good end to end service. Of the three companies I contacted, yours was the only one that followed up with a competitive quote and the took care of all the details. Also good service from
delivery crew. My only suggestion for improvement is to have fewer people interfacing with the customer.

I cannot recommend enough, from getting the quote to picking my belongings up Max and Bessie were thoughtful and understanding in all my dealings with them. The collection from Ebbsfleet was done quickly and efficiently. My possessions were then held as I was to be included in a part load to Scotland and 2 weeks after pick-up my furniture was dropped off to me again quickly and efficiently despite the rain! The guys did a fabulous job. Thanks to all involved.
