I am extremely disappointed with MediaMarkt and their complete lack of responsibility for the products sold through their platform. I recently ordered a laptop through their website, expecting reliable service from a well-known retailer. Instead, what I received was a frustrating runaround.
When my order was delayed, I contacted MediaMarkt for assistance, only to be told that the item was sold by a "third-party seller" (Tease Solutions) and that they had no information or responsibility regarding my order. This is completely unacceptable. If I’m purchasing from MediaMarkt, I expect them to stand by the products sold on their site, regardless of who the seller is. What kind of company sells products but then washes their hands of any accountability?
To make matters worse, the MediaMarkt operator I spoke with was incredibly rude and dismissive. Instead of helping me resolve the issue, they insisted it wasn’t their problem and that I needed to deal with the third-party seller directly. This is absolutely shocking customer service from such a large and well-established company.
If MediaMarkt is allowing third-party sellers on their platform, they need to take responsibility for the customer’s experience. Passing the blame and refusing to assist is a terrible business practice. This experience has completely shattered my trust in MediaMarkt, and I will think twice before ever buying anything from them again.
If you're considering a purchase from MediaMarkt, be warned: they don’t stand behind the products they sell, and if something goes wrong, you're on your own.

Am 26. August habe ich bei Mediamarkt.de einen MSI Prestige AI Studio Laptop zum Preis von 1599 € bestellt. Der Laptop sollte am 18. September geliefert werden. Während ich auf meine Bestellung wartete, stellte ich fest, dass der Laptop auf der Website wieder auf Lager war, aber er wurde mir nie geliefert. Ende September wurde meine Bestellung aufgrund eines Lagerproblems storniert, obwohl der Laptop weiterhin für 2899 € verkauft wurde (und heute noch auf Lager ist). Ich habe mehrfach Beschwerde eingereicht, aber mir wurde mitgeteilt, dass ich den Laptop zum neuen Preis kaufen müsste. Nach wochenlangen Beschwerden bot man mir schließlich an, einen Laptop im Wert von bis zu 1750 € zum ursprünglichen Preis von 1599 € zu kaufen. Aufgrund der verpassten Gelegenheiten finde ich jedoch keinen Laptop mehr, den ich zu diesem Preis möchte. Ich möchte hier meine Beschwerde teilen, um anderen, die während eines Verkaufs bei Mediamarkt.de einkaufen möchten, einen Einblick zu geben.
On August 26th, I ordered an MSI Prestige AI Studio laptop from Mediamarkt.de for a price of €1599. The laptop was scheduled to be delivered on September 18th. While waiting for my order, I noticed that the laptop was back in stock on their website, but it was never delivered to me. At the end of September, my order was canceled due to a stock issue, even though the laptop was still being sold for €2899 (and is still in stock today). I filed multiple complaints regarding the issue, but I was told that I would need to purchase the laptop at the new price. After weeks of complaints, they eventually offered me the option to purchase a laptop valued up to €1750 for the original price of €1599. However, due to the missed opportunities, I can't find a laptop I want at that price anymore. I wanted to share my complaint here to give others considering purchasing from Mediamarkt.de during a sale some insight.

We purchased a vacuum cleaner. It came with an envelope “Meine Bonus Vorteile” that contained the well known FABER Sofortgeld-BINGO scam… We are disgusted to see a “respectable” brand promoting such frauds. Of course we will never buy MediaMarkt again

15 mins ago I tried to call to have information about my order (440€ for a washing machine) and I asked if is possible to speak in english. She said "Leider nicht" and something else in german that of course I didnt get and before to let me speak she closed the call.
Never thought that a multinational company like Mediamarkt could deal with a customer in this way I am shocked.

Two days ago I bought a brand new charger cable for my HP Envy. Though it seemed to fit, the computer did not recharge. I noticed this today 1 day before I leave for a professorship in Asia. So I had to go 1 hour back to the Media Market in Rostock center. I arrived quite late at around 6:30 pm and an intern Mr. Avakimyan (I guess the name is Armenian) thought out of the box. I was stressed because the long drive and then the message "there was no more cable available". But this intern thought very customer-centric. Though the inventory system showed that this product was not on stock. He went beyond expectation checked their physical storage place and also was willing to call the other Media Markets around. However they were already in closing process offices finish at around 5 pm. What struck me was the positive attitude, the intern new the electronic stuff. And thank God we found a solution. I went to the manager to give a great review in person. And she told me they would make a hiring decision soon from intern (did not know this) to full-term employee. Great win-win. And wish the staff of Medi a Market all the best also I think Mrs. Schmid and another colleague who supported.

Medimarkt mailed me they are not able to send the product in promised time there will be delay, I can cancel or wait longer. I waited 4 more days and cancelled the purchase on 9th September, It s been ten days after cancellation ,Medimarkt still didn't pay the money back! I have contacted with them many times, everytime they forward to some departments and ask me to wait. It's been 10 days still waiting for refund. They claim they cancelled the reserved amount, but after contacting with bank, bank says it is not reserved process it s "confirmed purchase" and there is no ongoing reservation and medimarkt already taken the money, and they should refund it, it is also obvious from bank statement.
It's been ten days they don't do anything, please don't send me automatic copy paste reply from here, it doesn't make you innocent to write here automatic replies, instead solve the problem. as I can see I am not the only one having this issue. Caution to anyone planning to purchase from here , if any case necessary regarding cancellation , they will make you struggle.

I was eager to leave a positive review for this dishwasher, but unfortunately, my experience with Mediamarkt/Saturn has prevented me from doing so. I ordered the product on August 31st, and it was delivered on September 5th. Unfortunately, there was a significant dent on the right side, which made it impossible to fit the dishwasher into the intended space, forcing me to refuse it. After a week with no updates, I called for the first time, and they informed me that they don't automatically send a replacement in such cases; instead, they wait to issue a refund, and you then need to place a new order. While I found this process unusual, as I believe they should be quicker in rectifying their mistakes, I accepted it and was ready to purchase the dishwasher again. However, what’s truly unacceptable is that I had to specifically ask for this information and that after more than 10 days, they claim they haven’t received the dishwasher back. Despite multiple emails, no one has offered any help or apologies for the inconvenience. As it stands, I have neither a dishwasher nor my money back. The dishwasher itself might be a good product if you're lucky enough, but dealing with Mediamarkt/Saturn’s lack of customer service is definitely not worth it!

A month ago, at the beginning of August, I pre-ordered a game Astrobot for my child from MediaMarkt DE. The package was supposed to arrive by the 6th of September.
Firstly, on the 5th of September, MediaMarkt provided an incorrect DHL tracking number – just the digits "10050".
On the 7th of September, I contacted customer support and was informed that, yes, the DHL number was wrong, but there was no other available. They said they couldn’t do anything, and I just had to wait for delivery.
On the 10th of September, I reached out to customer support again and was told to wait until Wednesday, the 11th of September.
On Thursday, the 12th of September, I contacted the support team again. This time, they said they would escalate the issue and that I should wait for an email.
On Friday, I received an email notifying me of a refund. That was it - just a message informing me that I would receive a refund.
I immediately contacted them again, but they told me there was nothing they could do. The only option was to place a new order, but it wouldn’t include the pre-order bonuses.

MediaMarkt firstly requests customers to bring the article to a shop and does not allow a return via post even though the article was delivered the same way. After writing a letter this was solved. Then MediaMarkt refrains from providing an exchange article even though this can be chosen by the customer according to binding law. Mediamarkt only offers a repair for which the customer has to sign beforehand, that if Mediamarkt deems the problem to be caused by the customer he/she will pay for the repair cost. It is also unclear how long this repair will last and no packaging for the article is provided.
In summary: Painfully slow, complex and annoying process that still does not comply with binding law. Huge waste of time an money. I can only recommend to never buy an article at Mediamarkt. I would with this experience gladly pay 10-20 % more to avoid this mess. Thanks for nothing Mediamarkt.

I am still waiting on mediamarkt to refund me for a fridge they failed to deliver. The fridge was ordered the 1st of August and only 3 weeks in they concluded that this will never be delivered and promised me a refund. Yet, for the past two weeks I have only been getting promises from their customer service but no refund.
I feel like these people are laughing with their customers. Real people who have bills to pay who are being withheld the right to a refund.
According to Mediamarkt they are waiting to receive the fridge back from the shipping company. The same fridge that was supposedly stuck at the shipping company. It is quite clear that they have no clue where this fridge is and they are happy to wait and see for me to forget about my refund. No chance!!
And spare me the canned response on trust-pilot where you direct me to an email address that never responds to customer complaints. This is an absolute laughable company.

Three years after purchase my samsung galaxy note 10 faced a bit of water. After that the rear cover detached and I removed it. I clearly see now that my device was repaired and sold to me as new. It is a shame, mediamarkt
UPDATE: mediamarkt contacted me but they refused to take any responsibility. Just to remind, the rear cover of the phone detached by itself when the phone was put on the wet table. As a result the water got into it and I had to replace several components. So as a conclusion: mediamarkt DOES sell repaired phones pretending they are new. Be vigilant, don't buy phones there if you can, if you can't go to the shop and check all security stickers on the box. Mediamarkt: never again

The seller on their platform is harassing me, because they do not want to allow me to return an item I just bought, but do not like. I cannot even review that seller on MediaMarkt.

I purchased a camera through Media Markt's marketplace, which involved a third-party seller. Even before the camera arrived, I reached out to Media Markt to inquire about returning the item. They advised me to contact the third-party seller directly. However, the seller never responded to my emails regarding the issue. I then escalated the matter to Media Markt, explaining the situation in detail, including the lack of response from the seller. Now I have the camera for nothing and want to return it. Unfortunately, Media Markt's only response was to tell me to try contacting the seller again, without providing any further guidance or support. I have a screenshot of this conversation.
This experience made me decide to no longer use Media Markt for online transactions.

I ordered a LG TV on offer during the “LG week”. Today I received an email that my order was cancelled because there are no more TVs to be delivered. Very misleading and a waste of time and other opportunities when products are available in the website but they are actually ‘out of stock’.

Fake delivery dates is my major concern i ordered e-scooter for me and it shows online that i will get that in 3days and on very next day of my order i received email saying that my order is on the way and i will receive in 1-2 working days and its more than 5 working days and still no response. I just wonder is it still on the way since 5 days. Why do you need to fake these delivery date. For me the worst thing to do to a customer is to lie.
