Good installation. Caution about rebates values as they change ... can be drastically

When I decided to get solar panels, I wanted to use a local company. Mega Watt had been recommended to me by a number of people. I was not disappointed. I was happy with the advice, level of contact and information, time frames, the quoted price, and the installation. There are companies out there offering cheaper prices but you need to beware of the quality of the panels and the service. Mega Watt uses canadian panels, and offers after sales monitoring of the system. They are a reputable local company and have been in the area for a number of years I would not hesitate to recommend them.

My experience with the boys from Mega Watt Power was very professional and friendly, their product knowledge was exceptional, and they left my front yard and garage areas spotless.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mega Watt Power to anyone interested in Solar Power.

Overall a very good experience despite some technical hiccups and minor equipment failures. The team were helpful and accommodating in resolving issues and I must commend Peter Nichols for his long patience in the original sale process to get this over the line. 4 stars for two minor reasons:

1 - Installation error with an inverter connection

2 - The over eagerness of Beth to collect final payment before initial installation issues and concerns had been resolved. Better care should be taken in communications and before issuance of overdue payment notifications.

Otherwise Megawatt come highly recommended and can be diligently trusted on cost, technical know how and after installation support. Thank you to the whole team for providing a system that has produced energy to date with a high level of efficiency and that has provided significant cost savings.

We purchased our initial 10kWatt Solar System from Solar Bamboo Direct at a cost of approximately $58,000. Subsequently the company Solar Bamboo Direct was placed in receivership and the NEG component of the Solar System approximately $14,000 disappeared with the failure. As an early adopter of Solar we received a feed in tariff of 60cents for excess electricity generated for a five year period. In addition the rules at that time also allowed the business to depreciate the Capital Investment. Over this five year period both Solar Inverters supplied by Solar Bamboo Direct failed. These units were subsequently replaced by Inverters provided by Mega Watt Power. These second units have worked without interruption for the last five years. Mega Watt Power has advised us on systems to monitor the performance of our solar system, handled and advised on the installation of a Smart Metre and the move to Nett Usage. They have also installed a second 5kWatt unit bringing the total generating capacity to 15kWatts for the unit. We have no hesitation in recommending Mega Watt Power as a sound, honest and reliable partner in your Solar initiative. My personal opinion is that if you own the property and operate your own business in the Light Industrial Estate environment you would be saving money by generating your own electricity in the 7am to 6pm environment. I think its called the First Rule of the Richest Man in Babylon, Pay Yourself First.
