Great furniture
Great furniture, Sturdy and sexy. My only complaint is the instruction manual for assembly is extremely poor and lacks detail.

not very satisfied with the estimated delivery dates. it was pushed back almost 8 months with 4 calls in between saying that it will be delayed. i am yet to open up the desk but i can say that i will be skeptical about ordering from this place again.

I can certainly relate to any frustration caused related to production and shipping delays which we unfortunately experienced due to the global situation that has resulted to the arrival delay of your item.

Delivery service was rude and…
Delivery service was rude and unhelpful. Product arrived with incomplete assembly instructions and I later realised it was defective and unable to be assembled. After a lot of back and forth I was able to arrange them to pick up the product and accept the return. I had to chase them for a refund too. Though I did receive a full refund for the purchase nothing can compensate me for the four days off work waiting for deliveries or pick ups from Sydney. If you are not in Melbourne to arrange collection drop off if product has issues, then I don’t recommend.

Very sorry to hear about the poor experience. While we are not affiliated with the courier companies I can only apologize for any rudeness provided by the driver or company on the day.
Unfortunately some flat packed items can experience issues which we are then able to send out and have parts replace quickly parts to rectify issue, however we respected your decision and preference to have the item returned for a refund.
While this item was a discontinued flat packed coffee table, most of our designer furniture do come fully assembled to avoid the assembly hassle and potential issues.

Nearly a 2 month wait to get my product…
Nearly a 2 month wait to get my product after it was partially lost after the delivery company who was unknown to Modern Furniture lost a 2m package.

We are truly very sorry to hear about the delay. Unfortunately we did face some challenging times with some couriers during the pandemic in particularly some states and regional areas.
Our team can certainly appreciate and relate to the frustration during these times which unfortunately reflects on the overall experience. Our team do contact the couriers on a daily basis to try provide regular updates, but it is also unfortunate the couriers don't always inform us if an on forwarder is used to reach a certain destination.
Again we are very sorry for the disappointing experience and at least the desk is serving its purpose. :)

Terrible Chairs, Terrible Delivery
Unfortunately at the time of ordering there was no way to check these chairs for comfort. They look OK but they are extremely uncomfortable. I hate them. In addition Australia post took a month to deliver them so it was a terrible experience all round. I honestly would have sent them back but needed chairs and did not want the same hassle again.

It is unfortunate that during lockdown our showroom was not available for personal viewing and feeling of the products. We can appreciate this particular lounge chair has a firm feel and density which is likely to soften over time.
Unfortunately due to the Pandemic, Australia post did experience extensive delays due to the operating limitation and influx demand that unfortunately reflected a poor experience on our service.
We are pleased that while we do still experience delays at times, the situation has dramatically improved since.

Looks good when built... but that's where it stops
The product itself looks good when built - but the engineering of the design is quite poor. Pilot holes don't line up as indicated for construction - so it takes a little bit of ingenuity to complete. The instructions are poor and while there are a few YouTube videos they are not super helpful. The materials are a little hit & miss. Some of the fixings/fittings are quite weak/cheap - such as drawer runners and door openers. The timber/panels themselves are quite robust. Overall based on the prices they charge I expected better quality throughout.
