A no stress move

The movinga removal team were pleasant,they wasted no time in removing all my items safely & delivering them to my new home with no damage done, an extremely good service & costing me the amount quoted by the firm.

Crooks

This company is a bunch of crooks. The sales guy basically told me a whole bunch of lies to get me to use then and then when it came to it, none of anything we agreed was true, Never use these guys, you will regret ever speaking to them. STAY WELL AWAY!!!!!!

I would never use this company again!

I chose movinga because their initial quote they gave me was the best and they said it would be fixed regardless of any waiting time etc.
I was quoted £340.00 based on a 1 bedroom flat and an inventory that I gave them (Which I assumed was to be an approximate inventory)
Closer to the move date we decided to be pro-active and give Movinga an exact inventory and the price suddenly shot up to over £500! In order to bring the price down again I had to take a small vans worth of our stuff myself and then they would only reduce it down to £460. At this late stage I didn't have the energy or time to argue or look for another removal company so just I continued with it. It was agreed that the removal van would arrive between 09-11am. We were all ready and waiting on the morning of the move until we get a call around 10:30 to say that the removals were going to be late and now arrive between 11-12. I end up waiting and waiting. 1 pm still no sign and now I'm getting pressure from our buyers wanting to move in. Each time I call movinga they tell me they are on their way. I ended up carrying loads of heavy garden furniture myself from the back to the front in order to try and speed things up when they finally did arrive. When they eventually turned up at 01:40, none of them could speak any English!!! At the other side I just had to instruct them to put most things in our dining room where they should have just been able to read the labels. Again meaning I had to do their job for them. Moving took £433 from my card which I think is an outrageous charge for the service they provided. I called their customer service team a few days ago asking for compensation and spoke to Kasia who said someone will call me back in a few hours. Am still waiting, I won't hold my breath. This company seems to just take jobs then outsource them to the Eastern Europeans (probably paying them peanuts) Shockingly bad company would never ever ever recommend or use this company again.

fantastic company!

Dealing with this company has been a pleasure from start to finish. Very friendly service. Easy to book over the phone. Communication was excellent. My conveyancers messed up and cancelled my move with less than 24 hours to go. Movinga were very understanding and compassionate and managed to schedule me back in a few days later with very short notice. The move was very well organised. The removal men worked fast and arrived on time. Nothing broken. I would (and have) recommended this company to everyone!

AVOID MOVINGA

Movinga gave us terrible service from start to finish. They match up customers with one of their 'man with a van' partners. As such, don't expect any consistency or seamless service.

1. Movinga attempted to rearrange the move twice during the week prior to the move date we had booked. Didn't inspire us with confidence but went ahead anyway.

2. On the day, driver was 3.5 hours late. Very stressful because we had to be in the new property by early evening. At no point during the delay did Movinga contact us with an explanation. We were left to call them repeatedly and wait on hold while they tried to figure out what was going on. They seemed to be as much in the dark as we were.

3. We had informed Movinga that we would need to make two stops - one at a storage company and one at our new home. They assured us this would not be a problem because the two stops were a ten-minute drive apart. When the driver finally showed, he had not been informed of this and was less than impressed. He complained about the second stop and insisted that we only take 10-15 minutes at the storage company because he would be late home. This after keeping us waiting 3.5 hours in the morning!!! He then tried to charge us an extra £60 for the additional stop. Needless to say we didn't pay it.

4. I then attempted to contact Movinga with my complaints and to settle the bill. It was very difficult to get hold of them. I sent numerous emails to every address I could find with no reply. I also spent a lot of time on hold trying to get through on the phone. When I did finally speak to someone, (Emma), she assured me she would resolve the problem and email me back quickly. Four or five days later I had to call her to chase it up.

5. Movinga did agree to give us a 25% discount. I then asked for an invoice and details of how to pay. I was assured by Emma that this would happen within a couple of days but four days later had still heard nothing. Eventually rang Movinga again to find Emma was out of the office and hadn't bothered to pass the matter on to anyone else. I finally got my invoice and made the payment.

I would advise anyone to avoid this company. True, I think we got unlucky with our driver but the general admin service from Movinga was utterly incompetent.

EDIT: And now it's taken them two months (!) to reply to this review. Avoid Movinga.

They did not show up! And I had to find a last minute company to make my move

They never showed up on the day agreed and I had to find a different company to move with last minute from the UK to Switzerland.
I had quotations from Movinga and a few other companies, and Movinga was the one with the best price, and also already covering insurance and douane services. At the time of trying to get me as a client, they sent me multiple emails and called me on my mobile phone many times, until I agreed to have a contract with them.
After that, they gave me a reference number and an agent to take care of things for me. We exchanged a few emails with the luggage restrictions, the scheduling of a pick up time, and all the documentation I had to send them.
I sent all the documentation (including scans of my passport, visa cards, things which are quite private and I wish I did not send it to them), the inventory list of each of my packages, and its estimated values, etc. And the person on the other side stopped being responsive on email. I have sent multiple emails asking if everything was ok, with no answer.
After that, I have called their office in London a couple times in the week we had the pickup scheduled - and they said it was all OK, I should not worry.
The pickup of my good did not occur. I stayed at home waiting all day on the scheduled Friday, March 18th, as I was informed the pickup would happen between 9-17h, losing a full day of work. I called their office in London around 4pm, saying things have not been picked up yet, and they told me to wait until 5pm; And at 5pm, when my things definitely did not get picked up, and they said someone would contact me.
That was Friday, 5pm, in my last working day living in the country!
I was very lucky to find another company, which was local to Edinburgh, who were kind enough to pick up the phone 5 min past their working hours that week, and to setup a contract with me last minute. 15 min after I called the alternative company, I had a contract signed, my things picked up - all that for about 2/3 of the price Movinga was going to charge me, including storage of the items for a couple of weeks and insurance. My items arrived safely to Switzerland - but not thanks to Movinga.
They only got back to me, on email, on the following Tuesday, 4 days after the scheduled pick up, saying only when they got informed my goods were not picked up and asking when they could do it. Well, by then I was out of the country, and it would have been completely useless to rely on them.

Reliable, affordable and professional

So pleased we went with Movinga. The removal men were great! The staff at Movinga who helped us book everything were amazing! I cannot recommend this company enough- they were the best thing about our VERY stressful moving day.

Excellent Service

We have chosen Movinga as they offered the lowest price.In most of the cases that would mean average service but in our case everything was perfect from the moment we've been contacted by the consultant Scott Dunbar to the day we actually moved. The initial process before getting the price was simple and easy-just emailed a list with all stuff to be moved.
On the day of the move the guys were prompt -exactly on time -giving us extra time to finish last packing and not rushing us .Some of the furniture needed to be dismantled /reassembled -this was done professionally -nothing was damaged .
I can say huge Thank you to Movinga for the brilliant service provided and I highly recommend their services

The best moving company.

Here is a copy of my review from Google. I am happy to spread the good word for excellent company:

I would recommend Movinga to help with a move any day! - In fact I already recommended them a couple of times to my colleagues since my move about a month ago. Here is why:
- I was immediately contacted upon requesting a quote. Date of my move was uncertain, still, Scott, Kaja, and Matthew from Movinga were very patient, responded to every update to my schedule, and advised on different options.
- Move date was finally decided, but it was a short notice. Movinga still accommodated my request, and was very understanding and flexible on price negotiation.
- The team who were doing the move itself were on time, clean van, professional, polite, efficient, same day delivery (From Scotland to London). Not a single thing broken or damaged. All perfect!

I did a few moves in my life. It was never so easy, so efficient, so professional. Every request answered (and answered to the point in all details needed) and accommodated.

Ah, also, with being superb - Movinga gives the best price on the market. There is nothing else to add.

Angels !

We were originally let down by another company. I called Movinga last minute and spoke to Matthew Piper. He was very helpful, friendly and polite and made our move a lot more easier and gave us a great company who did everything we asked and were very good. Would highly recommend.

Mrs young England to Ireland move

I found them brilliant. Very informative and professional. The only thing is you MUST have 70% of the total move cost in your bank for authorisation. We were unaware of this and it could have been a major problem only friends stepped in to help. Apart from this they are excellent.

Movinga - Awful company & experience do not use!!

I had 7 boxes to move from Berlin to London. My goods were picked up by a plain clothes man and his two daughters in an old Kia saloon car with a baby seat taking up much of the little space available. They were roughly squashed into the car and I was sent away at this point as the daughters also needed to fit into the car. My property should have been delivered to London 2 weeks ago. I have emailed Movinga several times for an update. I have also called many many times but I am kept on hold for up to an hour or cut off. It is now 4 weeks since my goods were picked up and nobody can inform me where my property is and when it will be delivered. I have now completely lost confidence that I will see the boxes again which include personal items which are irreplaceable. Avoid at all costs. It's been a very upsetting and stressful experience!!

Chaotisch

This company should be avoided! They agreed to move us, & pack for us as we are disabled. We were told someone from the removal company would be at our property between 7 - 9 am the day before our move, to look at what needed moving. Nobody came, no call or email to tell us why they didn't turn up.
We were advised four people would be doing the removal. Two arrived, yes, they did pack but how! We still haven't been able to find cutlery or some other things we need. The removal men were Rumanian, very pleasant and fast. Unfortunately, they just put things in boxes without labeling. It is absolute chaos! Never again!

Told me at 5pm the day before they couldn't move us

We had a move booked for weeks, the day before I called up just to double check it was all fine. They phoned me back and said they couldn't move us out of the house at 11 as booked. We had to be out by noon as it was being sold. They put me in touch with a local firm who's only solution was to move our items out that night (2 hours notice), and store it all. We had our items returned to the new property at 730pm the next day.
This less than ideal solution was provided entirely by the local firm, Movinga washed their hands of us and I've heard nothing from them since, no apology, email or phone call.
