Poor service

I made contact with Movinga and had really useful and pleasent emails from Joe, however I felt I had to harrass the poor guy as my moving date was not booked in.I finally spoke with him and he was based in London ??? I was moving in South Yorkshire. I should of guessed then that problems would occur. I then got a call from Kasia who was based in Berlin... I was very confused. She confirmed my details and took card details ready for payment after my move. I asked what happened and she said someone would turn up on removal date.
I never heard anything again.
On the day of removal two men of eastern european heritage came and they spoke little english. I got a phone call at 8.55 saying they would be there between 9.30 and 10. I had booked them 9-11. Although they were polite they didnt understand me and clearly were not from a professional company. It was like they had just hired a van. I informed them that all boxes downstairs were fragile which they took no notice of or didnt understand what I ment.
I am thankful that I only had boxes and a few household items as these men were not professional and could have quite possible damaged my things.
When they unloaded my belongings at my storage unit they moaned saying it was small and left my things unattended at times. My belongings were packed in with space left.
I thanked the men and they left but before they did they crashed into the storage building causing damage to the building and their van.
I would definately not trust this company with another move.
I have emailed both Kasia and Joe following the move to which I have had no response.
I am really unhappy with service I recieved.

Very poor service, do not recommend to use!

We had a very disappointing service from Movinga...it appears they are a company based overseas (Gernany I think) and they contract the job out to someone in the UK. My job was contracted out to a guy in Luton called Darren who then got subbies 'Man and their van' in to do the job.

Despite numerous phone calls from Movinga in the lead up to moving day (they phoned most days to check that everything was still on track and to reiterate the items being transported to the new house) when the men arrived they had no idea as to what they were collecting. We were told their would be 5 men and 3 vans. But only 3 men and 2 vans arrived. There was numerous phone calls to Darren from the guys that had arrived and we were promised another van was coming, eventually we were told it was on its way and would be with us in 40 mins. By now it was lunchtime and we were able to collect the keys to our new house. The guys already at the house suggested they wait for the third van to arrive incase it was just one man (and he'd need help moving the large heavy furniture that had been left behind). We all waited for at least another hour while by now the new owners were sat outside my house waiting to start unloading their furniture. One of the guys rang Darren only to be told that there wasn't another van and that the 'guys and their vans' would have to make a second and possibly a third trip to and from unloading and reloading their vans.

By now the guys were fed up and tired. They had worked really hard all morning and two of them had in fact been working throughout the night on another job. With tiredness came accidents-two door frames were badly damaged and brand new bedroom furniture also got damaged. The hallway and landing at the new house was badly marked and dented with the moving of a sofa.

I had paid for my son's climbing frame and swing set to be dismantled and resurrected at the new house. The guy whose job this was came unprepared and didn't have the necessary tools, meaning we had to unpack boxes to find tools to help him! The climbing frame and swing set were not put together again at the new house and nor was my son's bed (as the guys were forced to make trips back to the old house to collect the last of the bits), so I was forced to put his bed together myself!

I immediately contacted Movinga via email and informed them of the dissatisfactory service I had received, I asked them to call me, which they did the following day. Unfortunately I was in the midst of unpacking boxes and was unable to take the call. They made no more attempts at contacting me and instead continued to charge me the full amount of money. I have since contacted them again and am still waiting for a response! I really wouldn't recommend you use this company at all.

Cowboys

Very traumatic expeience using this company when we moved our daughter. First we were told 9am. We had a 3 hrs drive to get there to start with. 9am came and went. After daughter ting to get hold of someone to find out what was going on, she was told 3pm. Went out for somethiong to eat. 3pm came and went. Again we had to ring them to be told 9pm that evening. No we had to be back to get the keys to daughters new flat so left after being told if we left a key with a neighbour, they would drop off evrything to us in Hull the next morning. We were told they would not charge us the full amount due to all the inconvenience. This was last November. Daughter rang to check how much and when they would be taking out payment.but they never got back to us. Guess what? 5 months later they have taken out double the amount quoted. DO NOT TOUCH THESE COWBOYS WITH A BARGE POLE FURIOUS !!!

EXCELLENT SERVICE

Excellent service - would recommend to anyone wishing to move quickly and without great overheads -. The team that came were very good and did several drop off's - no problem -.The staff at Movinga were superb and were able to put up with a whittled lady in a calm and caring manner - thank you xx

Avoid!

We booked our move with Movinga a couple of weeks ago. Up until today - move day - everything seemed great. We were expecting the removal guys here between 9am and 11am. Got to 11am and there was no sign of them. We phoned Movinga and were told there was a delay and the removal people would be here between 2pm and 3pm. Given that we are completing on our house today and had to be out by 1pm, this put us in a very difficult situation. Told we couldn't cancel without paying the full fee.

We managed to hire a transit van from a local company, but paid through the nose for it given that it was a last minute booking. We managed to load everything out of our house and into the transit van, with the new owner standing over us getting, understandably so, very frustrated. We thought we would get everything into the van so that it was safe and out of the rain, and then wait for the Movinga removers to arrive.

3pm came and went, still nothing. We were then told 3.30pm. That's now been and gone also. Still nothing. I should also point out that we have to chase for these updates rather than Movinga contacting us.

We are now left sitting in our car wondering whether the Movinga drivers will turn up, or whether we should just take our chances and drive the not so well packed transit van we have hired. Given that I am six months pregnant and we have a six hour drive ahead of us, I'd really prefer not to have to drive a van that I am unfamiliar with - hence why we booked with Movinga.

The stress and the extra cost that this had left us with is unacceptable. Take my advice and avoid this company at all costs.

First class winning service!!!!

From initial enquiry to final payment, I found the whole Movinga experience to be very straight forward and excellent value for money. I would not hesitate in using them again or indeed recommending them, as I have already done to many of my friends and relations! Well done Movinga and keep up the good work!!

Swift email responses, fast moving and no breakages!

I found no fault in my experience with Movinga. From the swift email responses, the fixed rate quote to the efficiency of the packers and flexibility around payment, Movinga were helpfully professional, calm and efficient, at a time that was otherwise very stressful for me. Based on my experience I would definitely use them again.

moving house with movingA

Overall a good experience. They arrived on time but took ages to load the van. Still unpacking after 10pm. Not their bad though cos they put beds and wardrobes back together bless em.

Great Move

Have moved a number of times but this was a first class experience

This was the first time I have used this service and would have no hesitation in recommending Movinga to other movers.
The arrangements went smoothly, the information accurate, the actual company allocated to physically move our contents were
First class and when Movinga the morning after the move I advised that all had gone well.
We discussed that we had used less boxes and that there were less boxes packed by the removal company and the price was reduced as per our agreement.
What a refreshing way to move, without any stress.
I will use them again without doubt.
They do exactly what they say they will do - refreshing in a world of over promising.
