We ordered nursery furniture in July and waited 4 weeks before we were advised that the furniture was delayed an additional 4 weeks and we would receive a 10% discount due to the delay. 4 weeks later we chased and chased by phone and email and every time the same man answered the phone and said he “couldn’t get in touch with the warehouse and he would get back to me in 10 minutes”. He never got back to me and the final time we spoke before they cut the phone line was that the furniture was in transit but no great surprise that no furniture has ever arrived. We have contacted them again requesting a refund numerous times by email and have been ignored. We plan to take this further now and have reported the company for fraud!

This is, perhaps, the fourth review. I am still waiting for the refund of two pieces of furniture that I bought on 05/11/2019 (two years ago) for an amount of about 800 £. I recently made a claim to the court. They have a deadline of December 6th to pay me back. I invite you to do the same too. They deleted their address and all their contacts, except the email, but they haven't responded for months (they even answered me under a review on this site ... hahahaha, what fools! "ASAP"). Mrhousey's website looks quite decent and not much different from other reputable online retailers. We liked the table that we found there and placed an order. Asking for a bank transfer did sound somewhat unusual, but the 5% seemed reasonable. Admittedly, only later I came across the reviews here and became somewhat concerned. Then we contacted Mr. Housey’s Support via e-mail - replying to their confirmation of our order and were given a delivery date as a reply, followed by another enquiry to which they also replied. The table was delivered as expected.

More importantly, the box it came in was of the highest manufacturing standard, as were all the components inside. Also, unlike many other deliveries from bigger retailers, the box was additionally wrapped up in more protective cardboard and plastic wrapping, which certainly would make a difference for unexpected wet conditions.

It is strange that reviews are so polarised about this business, but our experience turned out positive and I am happy to share it.

I ordered the Elias housebed. The trundle is entirely not fit for purpose as it does not fit under the bed at all.

First contact was great - someone answered the phone, told me to send an email. I sent an email and someone responded offering a refund for the trundle and asked that I write a positive review. I said fine, once i receive the refund.

Well no refund came. I have emailed repeatedly over 2 months now to chase and received no reply. The phone number is no longer in use. Has this company gone bust??

I bought shelves from this company over a year ago and never received them. Emailed the company several times and got a reply asking if I wanted them sent again or a refund. Requested a refund as at this point I had been waiting over a month but after this I got no reply and nothing came back. Sent many many emails essentially begging them to reply and not once did they dignify me with a response, even when I said I would be reporting them for fraud. Do not buy from this company, they are so dodgy. At the time they only accepted payments via bank transfer (no protection) !

Please don’t buy anything from them! If you can report this website please do! We ordered kids bed 3 months ago and it’s not here, they took our money via bank transfer and there no way of getting it back, no correspondence or contact working! It’s a scam!

I didn't want to believe it.... but this 'company' is a total scam. How they still have 3 stars on TrustPilot is beyond me. I don't know how they can still be allowed to trade. Since ordering the phone number has been deactivated and I am no longer receiving replies to my many emails. £350 spent on a cot bed ordered early September, fobbed off with promises of delivery at various times, now they are no longer responding to me. I really hope we can claim back our money from our credit card. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Bed delivered as per initial emails. The delivery guys were not happy & grumbled about MrHousey making mistakes on the courier service set up. The packaging was badly damage but luckily the bed inside wasn’t. Poor instructions, a few pieces didn’t quite fit correctly. And they’d forgotten the mattress.

I’m awaiting a replacement item, refund for the mattress and another promised 25% refund due to the quality issues. But since these promises, my emails now go unanswered. Like others, I've failed to find any other way to contact them.

Ordered a bed and mattress for my 20 month old son. Initial correspondence was fine, updated on delivery date etc however then delivery was delayed.

Received bed later than planned but with no mattress. No instructions on how to erect bed were provided. Following several emails and numerous unanswered phone calls, I finally managed to speak to someone on the phone who clearly had no intention of following up my complaint. He assured me he had requested a refund for mattress and that I would receive instructions on how to build bed…still waiting on both!

With help, I managed to have the bed built however only persevered with this as I believe I would not receive any money back and it would be more hassle as I really needed my son in his new bed prior to arrival of new baby.

The company do not answer the phone, it does not sound like a legitimate company, the phone number has since been removed from website. Emails have never been responded to and I very much doubt I’ll receive any refund back.

I wish I had read the reviews prior to purchasing - the website looks lovely but I believe it’s fraudulent and will be taking this further to save any further scams on people.

Absolute scam. Avoid at all costs.

Was contacted by "Kris" when placing my order, then 6 weeks later asked when it would be due (since it said 4-6 weeks). Kris replied saying it was leaving their warehouse on Thursday and would be with me the following week.
Never got anything, and the phone number on the order emails does not work. There is another number you can all call where someone in a call centre will answer, but he said he would ask the warehouse and get back to me, 2 weeks later never heard back and now cannot get through to the number.

Only way to get payment back is via your bank/visa since they use PayU and they won't help at all.

I ordered a house bed 24th July and it stated it would be 4-6 weeks. I had to email them for a confirmation email. I have been emailing and ringing since September. I only ever got threw three times on the phone and eventually I was told at the start of last week my bed should be with them last Friday 29th October and with me approximately today 3rd November. I have heard nothing more and have been emailing and trying to ring and cannot get through. At this stage I just want a refund.

DON’T fall for their SCAM !!!!!!!! If I can rate it as no star I would , scammers !! Ordered a bed for my son and never arrived , wrong phone number (not in use) no response on my emails or Instagram messages, nothing !!! Almost 360 £ disappeared just like that !!!!!!!

SCAM do not order from them.
I’ve bought a bed for my daughter on 9th June and never received it despite them taking my money.
They kept saying bed will be with me next week but it never showed up.
I’ve also found a number on their website which I’ve called, but that person was obviously not from a customer service and sounded like they were in a bathroom. When I tried to call again to follow up on my order (again), I then realised that my number had been blocked!!!

I have reported this website as scam to my bank and this is now under investigation.

I ordered a tv table on the 6th of September and have never received it. I have emailed several times and left 3 voicemails and not a single reply any. This company is a scam do not use.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.
I ordered a coffee table in August. Was told 6 weeks. Then was told another 2 weeks. I actually managed to call them and they said they would check and get back. They didn't. Now they don't reply to emails and have removed their number from their website so they know they are scamming people.
This is now with my Credit Card company to recover the money. Hopefully these people will be shut down soon.

Update: MrHousey claim to have contacted me for more information. Let me be clear that they haven't done so.

I ordered a desk £349 on 2 June with a 4 week delivery window. It is now almost end October and no desk. I have repeatedly followed up, initially they responded to emails and phone calls. Now the phone number doesn't work and they have not responded to me since early September.

Ordered a cot bed for my son back in July with delivery expected to be six weeks. Emailed 10 weeks later asking where it was and they said it would be shipped in two weeks. We are now about to go into November and emails have gone radio silent and I’ll have to take it to my bank to try get my money back.

My wife ordered a desk early this year and paid £319 they repeatedly delayed delivery and finally we cancelled the order in march. We were promised money back now nobody returns call or responds to email so we are taking legal action.Use this company at your peril.

I bought it and paid with the bank. Then I read reviews and was on the edge of cancelation as thought I wouldn't receive money either bed from them.
Called a couple of times and spoke with their staff. They reassured me and gave me tracking link. First delivery attempt failed but their delivery company called us and changed the date. They succeeded for the second time.
Overall there was some drama around the order with a great happy ending.
Bed itself is beautiful and my toddler loves it!

Scammer, be aware.

They take the time to reply here but none is answering the phone or replying to the emails.
