Dreadful customer service
Ordered a t shirt and paid, was told it would be delivered but it failed to appear. Tracked and it was with Royal Mail. Couldn’t speak to anyone at Muscle Fit so emailed and their customer service refused to send a replacement or a give me a refund. Raised as a dispute with my credit card company.

I apologise for the inconvenience you faced with your order. There was a delivery issue with Royal Mail, as they mentioned they were waiting for your instructions after a failed delivery attempt. We understand your frustration, and we did offer to send a replacement or provide a refund as soon as the parcel was returned to us. Eventually, the parcel was not collected from the delivery office, so it was returned by Royal Mail and a refund was processed for you. We're sorry for any confusion or frustration this may have caused. If you have any further concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
They deduct original delivery fees on return!
The T-shirts were basic and didn't fit, so I returned them (paying for my own return label). They refunded me BUT deducted £5 for the original delivery fee (although, nowhere on their return policy is this explained)! I contacted them but did not get a reply until I left my 1-star review here. They refunded me the £5, but the experience was still bad.

This is a review on my recent purchase of the Crew Basic Muscle Fitted Premium Heavyweight Plain T-Shirt. This t-shirt is the best t-shirt I have purchased, hands down! I really love the thickness, the fit and the comfort of the shirt. I have already signed up for the same shirt in the color White and cannot wait until other colors are available to purchase. Abysmal, fake 5 star reviews
Funnily enough 5 star reviews have appeared in a small time frame and are clearly from fake reviewers! They have all of a sudden started flagging all of the true reviews that explain how bad a company these are and how abysmal the customer service is. Never received a refund for a returned tshirt and have just ignored all requests.
Responded to initial review to make out like they'd tried everything. They took days to sort a refund request, which can for some reason only be done via email, by which point I was on holiday. I responded to ask if they could kindly still refund the item as soon as I was back from holiday, with of course no reply. Many many emails later, a PayPal dispute opened, which was closed due to not responding quickly enough to one of their emails. Even after informing PayPal that I'd not even received this email that I should've responded to, PayPal just didn't want to help!
They have had my returned item and my money since July!

Prior to claiming our Trustpilot profile, there were some reviews left by a competitor under the same email address in an attempt to ruin our online reputation. Trustpilot has been helping us to identify and remove these negative fake reviews.
Regarding your issue with the return of the item and delayed delivery, we apologize for any inconvenience caused. We couldn't accept your return request as the maximum amount of time had passed from the date you received your items to authorize a refund. However, we did try to resolve the issue by offering an exchange or store credit. We understand that opening a PayPal dispute was frustrating for you, and we regret that the outcome was not in your favor. We want to clarify that we provided evidence and support to PayPal, and the case was decided by PayPal independently.
We would like to assure you that we do not avoid giving refunds, and we have a clear and transparent refund policy that we follow. We process refunds as soon as possible once we receive the returned item. We understand that returning items can be frustrating, and we try to make the process as smooth and efficient as possible.

Lesson learned.
As usual, I should have read the reviews first before buying something online. The T-shirt was a very off white and had a very pungent smell. I tried it on anyway, I can’t imagine any human being flattered by the cut. Sleeves were much longer than the photos (And I’m 6’2”) The overall impression was of wearing a dirty old man’s vest.
I will say that the fabric was heavyweight as promised. The returns process looks like it set up to fail so I’ll grudgingly keep it to sleep in.
Update following reply from Muscle Fit Basics:
The company have had 23 5-star reviews in the last 10 days. You’re a small business running out of a residential address. I’ve had a message from Trustpilot saying you’ll have this review taken down if I don’t supply more information. I guess that’s what happened to your other negative reviews.
Additional comment: I washed the shirt and it’s just come out of the washing machine. It’s now white - it was just dirty.

We take all reviews seriously and strive to provide our customers with the best quality t-shirts, offering a 365-day guarantee if anything goes wrong. Trustpilot has a strong review and remove policy when it comes to fake reviews and they've helped us in removing many that have been disingenuous. Unfortunately for us, the fake reviews have not been in our favour and those that have been taken down have been negative.
As for the off-white colour of the t-shirt you received, this may have been due to you ordering our "off-white" coloured tee. As previously mentioned, we don't have any orders placed under your email or name so its hard to know what went wrong. There shouldn't have been any smell associated with your t-shirt but if there was you should have contacted us and we would have happily sent out a replacement. We are sorry to hear that you found our "easy returns" process difficult, please email us with information on how best we can improve it.
Response to your update: We have recently "claimed" our Trustpilot account so the recent reviews received are from our most recent purchases and not what you have claimed. We are asking for more information for reviews left that are not linked to any email address or name from our order history as these reviews are most likely fraudulent from competitors to lower our overall score.

I’ve ordered from mfb a few times over the years and they have always delivered on time and the clothing has always been exceptional. I’m hoping that they release more colours for their collection, especially for the classic tees. If you’re looking for plain t-shirts these are the best you can buy.

Fast delivery and these are the best quality T shirts I have ever purchased! I use them for anything from day to day wear to more rigorous use in the gym etc and they have held up amazingly through multiple washes over time and still fit / look like new. Would definitely recommend!

These guys are just fantastic! They went out of their way to make sure I was happy with my order & delivery. There was a delay because of the Royal Mail strikes but they kept in touch every step of the way. The quality of the T-shirts is second to none, I just love them!

I was hesitant spending much more than I would normally on a plain tee, but I don’t regret it. I thought it would all be about the cut (which is a great look) but was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the soft brushed cotton. I may well get some more in the future

These honestly are the best quality t-shirts I have ever worn and has someone who's very conscious of fast fashion. It was surprising to me because I've always been used to buying such expensive clothing which doesn't do as well as these! Not only did they look great, they feel amazing! Great T-shirts and service
This was my first purchase from Muscle Fit Basics, and I selected three T-shirts in different colours using the size info given on the website to get the fit I wanted. The order went through smoothly and delivery did not take long. My first impression of the T-shirts was that the material felt like a good thickness and the construction of the tees looked solid. I’ve subsequently found them to be comfortable to wear, and I feel like the cut is flattering. Honestly, they are probably the most comfortable tees I have ever worn. So far, after three months of rotation and washing they are holding up like new and it looks like they will last well, which is more than I can say for some I have tried in the past from other companies. I will definitely buy more again. My one minor ‘gripe’ is that colours often seem to sell out. It’s good to see a company doing well, but I hope that success will allow them to ramp up production and keep stock at adequate levels!
