Blown tyres

Had a blown tyre, guys were extremely helpful in organising a new one the next day, then a second tyre was about to blow and they were able to help me out straight away getting another one ordered in and also looking over my car to make sure it was all safe.

The guys at MyCar are easy to deal…

The guys at MyCar are easy to deal with. Its easy to make a booking and they message you to let you know when the car is done.
They are upfont with the service price.
And they don't fix or change things that don't need attention, unlike Mazda, so you don't feel ripped off dealing with MyCar.

I strongly advise against going here.

I took my Suzuki Grand Vitara to MyCar for a logbook service and timing belt replacement back in April. I didn’t write this review at the time due to how stressful the experience was, but receiving a service reminder recently brought it all back.

Despite booking three weeks in advance, they didn’t have the correct timing belt kit, so what was meant to be a same-day service turned into my car being held for several days.

When I collected it, there were immediate noises coming from the front end. I returned after work that same day, and it turned out they had failed to secure the bash plates properly. A basic and unacceptable mistake.

A few days later, my DPF light came on and the car was entering limp mode intermittently, something I had not experienced since replacing the DPF valve a year or so earlier. I even questioned whether they had used appropriate DPF-compatible oil or just thrown in whatever was available. They advised to bring it back and they would perform a DPF burn-off to resolve it.

After more problems within a couple of weeks arose, I took the car to another mechanic, and what they found was alarming:
-The timing belt was fitted too tight, causing one of the noises.
-The oil filter appeared not to have been replaced at all despite being charged $57.11.
-The diagnostic tool showed MyCar had NOT performed the DPF burn-off they claimed to have done.

There were multiple significant safety issues still present, despite MyCar telling me only minor matters existed.

The time, stress and money wasted going back and forth to MyCar, only to receive incomplete, negligent and dishonest work, is beyond unacceptable. Their behaviour felt deceptive, lying about services performed and charging for parts that appear not to have been replaced.

Due to the unexpected additional repair costs required to make the car safe again, I ultimately sold my Suzuki Grand Vitara, which may never have been necessary had MyCar simply done their job properly.

I absolutely do not recommend this workshop.

What a great bunch of mechanics

What a great bunch of mechanics! Car broke down on a Sunday & showed up to them on a Monday morning when they were a couple of mechanics down & full day of 15+ services. Very busy but they still had a look managed to look on the day (made no promises) & thankfully was an easy fix & got me going. The Dream Team on the day - their words, not mine! - was nothing short of amazing & really trying to help customers out. Been using them for years now & highly recommend!

Customer service needs to improve

I’m very disappointed with the service I received. I dropped my car off at 11:00am and requested to pick it up at 2:00pm. When I arrived at 2:00pm, the car was not ready and I didn’t get it back until 2:30pm.

On top of that, two tyres were replaced without any consultation or my approval, and I was not provided with an invoice at the time of pick up. This is unacceptable. Customers should be clearly informed and asked before any additional work is carried out, and reasonable requested pick-up times should be respected.

Limped in with check engine light on.

Engine over heated and check engine light was on. Limped in asked if they could check it over.
They advised might not be today as fully book (totally understand that).
By 4pm the same day. They had gotten back to me. What the trouble was.
Really pleased with their service, and knowledge.
I'll definitely take it back for its log books.
