Shampoo bars are not like they used to be

I started using this company in 2020 and the hair products were fantastic. Since then they seem to have changed the formulas of the shampoo bars and some products are no longer listed. I can only assume they have changed their supplier (even though they claim to make the shampoo bars themselves).
The shampoo bars are now awful, it's like they have a thick layer of wax on them which leaves your hair sticky and heavy. I wrote a couple of bad reviews on their website about the products and, guess what, my reviews have disappeared!! It's totally misleading for the consumer.
Like other people I also found the service very slow, about 2 weeks from purchase to delivery date. Also there has been times when products were missing from my order but they did rectify this when I emailed them.

Atrocious customer service I haven’t received my order so can’t…

I haven’t received my order so can’t review the products, however the service I have received doesn’t even deserve the one star I’ve given , paid for 48 delivery after two weeks still no delivery and no no refund company not replying to my emails atrocious customer service beware before you make any purchase

Took ages to deliver, products missing!

I was recommended this company by a friend, but the experience I have had is appalling. 4 weeks on I have not received my items, despite multiple
Emails ( only one was responded too) they did contact me via messenger after I had left a negative response on FB, they claimed a member of their team had responded and my order had been dispatched. It had not! The first time I contacted them about the missing order they blamed My Hermes for losing it, however I had never received a dispatch email or tracking, so I suspect this was not true!
I have now been forced to raise a dispute with PayPal as despite my request for a refund, this has not happened.
I will never order from them again! Thank just wish I had read the reviews before I ordered from them.

UPDATE 1st August following response from My Little Echo Shop. After contacting them multiple times I have eventually received the order ( a month after it was ordered). But one product was missing and the quality of the products are not good. The rose quartz shampoo bar left my roots greasy and the ends dry. I didn’t even use the conditioner bar as it resembled a lump of wax in texture and looks and repelled water despite repeated attempts to get it to lather.

Would not recommend

Would not recommend. Twice I have ordered and had issues with missing items. This second time I have emailed several times and made it clear I want a refund. The only response I get is asking if I want the items to be sent out to me now. I still haven’t got a refund for my missing items.

Very poor

Sorry to have to leave a negative review as I love this company's products and just wish they would sort themselves out enough to post products as per their promise. Used for first time in February when, despite numerous emails and 3 attempts, after almost 4 weeks they still didn't manage to get my order correct... and I was only ordering about 6 items! Having then seen that they had overhauled their systems I thought I would have another try as I like the products. Took my money quick enough and heard absolutely nothing since, despite emails and using their website 'chat' where nobody chats back. Had enough this time, just received a refund via Paypal and will not be using this company again. Such a shame... but to have completely failed for a second time I think is pretty poor. Shall be going elsewhere in future.

Appalling delivery and customer service

I'm so sad to leave this review as I like some of the kitchen products and the sustainability/eco ethos. Despite some good products, they are let down by incredibly poor communication, slooooow delivery and appalling refund process. Deliveries take several weeks and the full payment is taken, even if only 1 product is available. There is nothing to tell you that things are out of stock until you open your parcel - very disappointing. Refunds are extremely difficult to get - messages are never responded to, emails only sporadically and it takes going through PayPal dispute to actually get anywhere - it has taken 7 weeks from ordering to get my refund for the products that were out of stock. This is my second order and both had problems, so sadly will not be using this company again. If you do, definitely use PayPal for the added protection.
Update: I have been asked to update this review but there's nothing else to say. In summary, out of my order, 1 alternative product was delivered after several emails to chase. Everything else was out of stock, which I didn't know until my parcel arrived. My refund took a lot of emails and several weeks to arrive back in my account.

Products never arrive

Same as others. I have ordered twice and had the same issue of having to chase my order. I got an apology and promise to resend but then 4 emails ignored now. Will not be using again. Shame as the products are nice but shouldn't have to chase and be ignored.

In reply to the reply by the shop below, I've emailed about 6 times and despite initially having a response saying that it would be re-sent for me 'tomorrow' this hasn't happened and now I am not getting further replies.

Terrible experience, poor customer service

Sadly I have to give you one star. You have the worse customer service I've ever experienced, no regard for a simple request to refund me for my purchase after over ten days since purchase.
Thank goodness that I paid using PayPal who so kindly have agreed to return my money after I requested from you several days ago.
Stop with your Facebook and email campaigns and sort out the bones of your business before you don't have one!
Edited to add.... Having finally received the order, there were items missing, and also additional products I did not order!! Also one of the handmade products that was supposed to be in stock at the time I ordered had a batch date that was over a week after the order was made. No issue with the product itself. I still stand by my original statement of my experience & hope that this little company will work harder to fulfil thei commitment to their shoppers!

I ordered goods over 6 weeks ago

I ordered goods over 6 weeks ago , nothing has ever turned up just been fobbed off. Then on the 14th July my order was cancelled. No refund has appeared in my account. Disgusting service.

Since posting this review , I have eventually got my money back.

What on earth are you talking about? After asking Trustpilot to verify my purchase, which I did by sending them the numerous e mails I have sent you, you now resort to this? As if this one review will make any difference to the umpteen 1 star reviews. Please, for the sake of YOUR company..DO SOMETHING

I was really hopeful that I would be seeing an improvement in customer service since the change in courier, but alas not. In fact it seems to be worse.
And the replies to the abundance of negative reviews are the same passive aggressive tone every time..making excuses, not taking responsibility and bordering blaming the customer on many of them. I had really hope to start ordering again, but the attitude of this company means they have lost my custom completely. You simply cannot keep being so blinkered and think it is not an issue. I don't know what it will take for My Little Eco Shop to actually take responsibilty but they will have lost lots of custom by then anyway.

I have always used your shampoo bars as Exeter is close to me. However, I ordered the amethyst lavender shampoo and I am extremely disappointed. The shampoo used to be in a flatter lozenge shape and now feels extremely sticky. I have tried it twice and it is impossible to wash out. It leaves my hair extremely sticky and looking wet. I have never had this problem before.
I also posted my issues on your "chat" on your website but have had no response.
Have you changed the ingredients?

Order has arrived after a delay. Nice products. The conditioner bar doesn’t really suit my hair and made it rather greasy but shampoo bars are lovely. All smell lovely too

Update 12th August: Little Eco Shop - I did update my review on the day the delivery arrived!! See below!! Try reading it!!

Also has anyone else noticed that you are now unable to comment on their Facebook posts! It appears that they have now blocked me for asking why they delete comments! Very unprofessional! Try fixing your serious delivery problems and customer service first. Perhaps you then won't need to cover anything up!

Update 5th August: After 4 weeks since placing my order, it finally arrived today! All items arrived and nothing is damaged! However, my 1 star review still stands. 4 weeks to receive an order is not acceptable (together with the dire customer service!), although reading some of the other reviews, it seems I've been lucky in comparison! This will be my last order!

Update 3rd August: I have finally received a despatch email advising that my order is on its way! Let's see which arrives first - my order or my refund!

Update 21st July: According to "Alex" my order has been greenlighted (whatever that means!), but according to their tracker my order is awaiting fulfilment! I have now requested a refund directly (and via Paypal). Today's replies were mainly passive aggressive and I'm not prepared to put up with that! I am the customer and have been more than patient! Oh and I have (like everyone else on here) paid them and received nothing!

I placed my order on 9th July and 3 weeks later I have still not received it! I have now emailed them 4 times, been fobbed off 3 times, sent a message via Facebook (no reply) and sent a message via their website chat (no reply). This is absolutely dire customer service! If I ever receive my order, I will NEVER EVER use them again!!

Don't waste your time

Disappointing all around.

*I will not be altering my review below as I have had nothing but trouble getting my money back/ products, however, after a month of numerous emails and leaving this review, I finally received some of the items and a partial refund.

I placed two orders from this company, one on the 8th July and another a week later and to this date (27th july) I have yet to receive anything.

When I attempt to contact them they send a generic response of we are sorry we will resend as soon as we can. I have asked for a refund as its a disgrace and they sent that reply.

If I don't hear or receive anything by the end of the week I will report this company for fraud as clearly they take peoples money but don't send goods.

Delivery and customer service poor

I ordered before the delivery system changed. It’s now outsourced. The products finally arrived and were amazing but actually getting them was painstakingly difficult. When they did finally arrive the body butter, lemon pie, which I particularly wanted had been substituted without any explanations. In view of the quality of the products I placed a further order on Sunday, however, to date this has not been dispatched. I really hope that the delivery and the customer service improves as the response to emails, reviews and Facebook comments lack any compassion or apology and verge on abrupt and unprofessional. It’s such a shame as the products are so good. I am sincerely hoping that the experience will be better this time and I will receive my products in due course.

I have updated my review as 10 days on my order has still not been dispatched and having emailed the company over 5 days ago have received no response. It’s such a shame because when the products do finally arrive they are good but it’s the delivery and lack of communication that’s awful
Update 12/8 I would confirm that the products were dispatched following a 2nd email being sent. Neither email we’re replied to. I confirm the products arrived and are once again fabulous but it appears the only way to get the order dispatched after nearly a fortnight is to send repeated emails and trust pilot reviews. Definitely not a quick and easy service which spoils the whole experience

I ordered a bamboo razor at the end of the April and I still have not received it! I have sent multiple emails and have got the same reply each time, there was an issue at the warehouse and they will have it sent out again. When I requested a refund I got no reply back . This is unacceptable and I am so dissatisfied with the customer service. I will not be purchasing from them again.

Products have changed for the worse!

When this company started trading back in 2020 their products especially shampoo bars were fabulous. Smelt lovely and left no residue on my hair. The recent ones I have received have been horrible, leaving my hair caked in grease and looking wet. I have tried a few from my recent order and all the same, I might as well have used lard and washing up liquid - never to buy a shampoo bar again. As I write I have been waiting nearly two weeks for my order with a promise ( from complaint email) that I would receive yesterday or today. I am so disappointed in their products and delivery times. Whenever I have ordered a product for a second time it is never the same! Their creams/balms were creams to start now they are solid lumps in a jar that need to be dug out with a nail. I wasn’t going to write a negative review, but at this moment in time I cannot think of one positive to say about products or delivery times. In future I will be looking elsewhere.

Huge disappointment

I did not like this at all. The shampoo seemed to strip all the moisture from my hair, left it feeling like straw and the conditioner bar was like Vaseline. (Blond bombshell) I struggled to remove it from my hands let alone my hair. I rewashed my hair with my normal shampoo several times and it was still there feeling thick & sticky and I only used a tiny amount as it didn't feel like anything I would want to put in my hair. Felt and looked terrible. Also the box it came in was huge and I thought Amazon was bad for packaging. Ok it has no plastic but was the size of a ream of A4 paper for 2 bars half the size of a normal bar of soap, the promised free bar was missing and it took about 2 weeks to arrive. Definitely not worth the money and not environmentally friendly with the excess packaging. As you might guess I wont be ordering again and have thrown the products away.
Very disappointed I wish I had anything positive to say but I don't.

A very similar experience to other customers. Placed an order on 18/06 and finally received it on the 27/06 with two missing items with ‘refund’ scribbled next to them on the invoice. I messaged them and they said they were deeply apologetic and didn’t know what had happened. I was offered replacements or a refund. I went for replacements as I did actually want the products. On 28/06 I got an email saying that my missing products had been re-ordered and on 29/06 that they had been shipped. By 07/07 the Evri tracking page showed that they were still waiting for the parcel, so I emailed Little Echo to see what was going on. I got a random email back that morning saying ‘we have these items in stock, please let me know what you’d prefer’. I replied immediately saying I just wanted to know where my order was. I got a response on 12/07 blaming Evri for losing the parcel and saying it could be resent via DPD or Royal Mail. At this point I could see that there were several customers who had experienced something very similar to me, so I asked for a refund. I hadn’t heard anything back by 14/07 so I messaged again asking for the money I was now owed to be back in my account by the end of the week. On 15/07 I received notification that the money had been refunded. The money arrived in my account the following week. The Evri tracking page continues to be stuck on ‘we’re expecting it’.

Overall this was not a good shopping experience. I shop with several small businesses and have never encountered such poor customer service. It really wasn’t worth the hassle for a few bars of soap. Have now ordered from another small business and have already received my items within the promised time frame and with 0 hassle.

Whilst I appreciate the offer of a free gift and a big discount if I place another order and have the opportunity of experiencing the new delivery process, I really don’t want to. It was irritating enough dealing with my first order and frankly the soaps I bought weren’t good enough for me to chance the hassle.
With regard the update on My little Ec(h)o shop’s reply that says the item was delivered and I have not updated my review…what delivery? The review I have written is for the first and only order I have made.

What a weird company to deal with.
