I ordered one manual which I downloaded on 26.9.22 as my payment of £1.49 shows on my bank statement. I saw that a further payment of £24.90 was taken from my bank on 29.9.22. I contacted and cancelled my subscription on 29.9.22 which I did not see in their original contact email. But they say despite the 3 days interval I cannot get a refund of the money they took. I feel this is a real rip off site so my manual consisting of 8 one sided pages has cost me £26.35 in total. I would advise to avoid this site at all costs

After failing to supply the manual I requested, my manuals.net implemented a £24.90 monthly charge which they had hidden details of in their terms and conditions. I did not discover this charge until £49.80 had been taken from my account.
My request for a refund was ignored.

I needed a dishwasher manual. Mymanuals said I could have one for our model for £1.49. No manual was forthcoming but then I saw I was in a monthly subscription that would kick in after 3 days. I was able to unsubscribe online immediately and received an email saying there would be no more charges. I've written off the £1.49. Avoid this outfit.

Bought a £1.49 manual a few days ago and thought that was the end of it.
This morning got a notification from Nationwide that someone had attempted to take £24.90 from my account and they wanted my approval.
Of course I declined and the transaction was blocked but like everyone else here I never signed up for a £25 a month subscription to these rip off merchants
I guess I'm luckier than most here as my bank declined the payment.

This is a rip off company. You do indeed get your manual for £1:49 but what you don’t know is that you have apparently signed up for a premium subscription and they take £24:90 out of your bank account every month. I certainly don’t remember signing up for that. It must have been in the small print somewhere but I have no memory of it. The lady in the phone sounded like she fielded outraged customers like me every day. No sympathy. No refund. Don’t go anywhere near them unless you have your eyes fully open.
Update 28/1/23 - Like all the other reviewers I have had the standard response asking me to contact them to 'find a solution to my case'. I did that at the time and got no solution whatsoever. They also said that they have been trying to contact me. They had my contact details and I have received nothing from them. Are they lying or have they been trying to contact me by telepathy or some other arcane method. Terrible company and a complete ripoff.

Scam- no mention of "signing up" to a monthly subscription, which is for no service as you have already paid for the manual you actually want. They also failed to actually send the manual until I emailed them.

I also had £24.90 taken from my account when I had just asked for one manual, and the 72 hour timescale was not very obvious. The did redeem themselves after several strongly worded, though polite, emails requesting a refund by refunding the full £24.90, not even deducting the £1.49 which I had expected to pay!

I bought a manual on 27th August at 9am for £1.49. I cancelled my subscription today (30th August). However they have taken £24.90 from my account today.
I phone the company to be told that I cancelled at 12.05am so was not within 72 hours! I said it does not say 72hrs in the terms, just 3 days.
I asked to speak to a manager and he said managers do not take calls!
THIS IS A SCAM KEEP AVOID THESE THIEVES!!

I wish I'd seen these reviews on Trust Pilot before ordering a manual from this company for what appeared to be a very reasonable price of £1.49.
This morning while checking for recent payments charged to my bank I have found one of these "scam" charges of £24.90.
Obviously now not looking forward to my telephone call to their customer service to remove the charge.
This may be a bit optimistic going on the reviews posted here!

I want to confirm this is a scam.
I went on line to request a manual for £1.49 at no point was it flagged up that there would be a monthly subscription.
The company sent me an email saying they couldn't provide the manual but they didn't refund what I had understood was the cost. Then to my distress I checked my account for an unrelated issue to find a further charge for £24.99. which would be due after a 3 day trial period that was unspecified in a clear manner and I was totally unaware of.
When I contacted customer services and pointed out all the above and I had a charge going out tomorrow, clearly automated, and would they cancel it as I was still within the 3 day trial period they specified without telling me... I was told it could not be done. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told they were not available and you can bet that they wont be available until after the 3 day time period is up. It is out and out theft, and looking at what now know to be other really dire reviews one has to wonder why no one is taking this seriously.

EDIT - they just get worse… in addition to the lie below that they have tried and failed to get in contact with me (why would they? There’s no need as the matter was resolved back in August), they have also gone to Trustpilot to try to get my review removed as they ‘don’t think it’s based on a genuine experience’. I was able to provide evidence to back up my review so their effort failed. But how worrying is it that this dodgy company is trying to remove honest reviews warning others about their business practices? Basically trying to undermine the whole point of a site like Trustpilot. Jeez!
Awful experience, as others have said.
I paid the initial £1.49 to download a dishwasher manual. I spotted the subscription scam so knew that I would need to cancel that before three days were up.
I couldn’t find where to download my manual online, so emailed them.
This is where I have the complaint - it was like pulling teeth. I asked for the manual, and also to cancel the subscription while I was at it.
They sent an attachment of the manual that only had the front page.
I replied that the full manual hadn’t come through and from here there were about five emails back and forth with them saying that I’d now cancelled my subscription and me saying yes, I had, but I’d not received my manual.
By this point, I’d found the Trustpilot reviews so I told them that they have many dissatisfied customers and that I would be contacting the Financial Conduct Authority if I did not receive the manual in full immediately.
They emailed within five minutes with the full manual attached so clearly there was no issue in them obtaining it or passing it on to me - I’m assuming that they were wasting time in order for the three day trial period to expire and therefore for me to be tied in to at least one month of the full subscription at £25.
So, I got the result I wanted in that I now have the manual. But it’s clearly a very dodgy business whose prime motive is to get people to sign up and either not notice the subscription or to waste time until it kicks in.

I wish I'd checked here first. Received a manual which I couldn't download and then got charged £24.90 auto-renewal.
DO NOT GO NEAR.

I needed a manual for a car and, when I searched online, this company came up. I entered the details of the manual that I wanted, and their website said that it was available for download. I ordered and paid for the manual which they then said that they couldn't source, but refused to return my payment so I contacted Barclaycard to contest the transaction.
I eventually got a manual from the car manufacturer (Mazda) for free. They were a delight to deal with, unlike this shower.

Another sucker. These con merchants are just another example of a worrying trend which gets you to sign up for a subscription. Legislation is required to stop this happening, until then this is a growth dirty market.

Same as all others, signed up for manual for sewing machine they sent the wrong one. Fortunately I requested a refund and found out about subscription the day after order so cancelled before three days.s.
I received a reply to this review today 27/2/2023. Six months after the event! This was after Trustpilot requested proof of my purchase as the company suggested I had not purchased and my review was fake! I guess they thought I wouldn't have receipts after this amount of time. They were awful to deal with and very rude when I complained about the wrong item initially. They claim they tried to contact me but my email is same so I don't know why this would be.

Complete scam! Only wanted to pay & download a manual for my storage heater, so didn’t think it necessary to check mymanuals on trust pilot, but wish i had.
Had £24 come out my bank this morning for a subscription that i know nothing about, why on earth would i want one of those! Ridiculous! I have emailed them and explained that i absolutely did not sign up for this stupid subscription, who would want to waste £24 a month on this 🤔 i want my money back, but not holding my breath, they’re clearly scammers, so stay clear of them.

Rip-off artists. Avoid. You pay £1.49 for a manual, because they say they have it. You then sign in and find hundreds of manuals in a suggestions list bearing no relation whatever to what you are looking for.
The payment of £1.49 is in a box. Outside the box, and way down the page off the screen, you are told you have committed to pay £24 a month to read as many manuals as you want. Hardly anyone wants that.
I cancelled the subscription I’d never signed up for straightaway: let’s see what happens next. Perhaps I’ll have to cancel my card. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.

Wish I'd have read the reviews here first. £24.99 gone, didn't have a cue until it was too late. Managed to cancel the subscription but the robbing mothers wouldn't refund the money. They even had the nerve to push me to contact my bank, even when I told them it was Continuous Card Authority and it was their issue to resolve, not my bank! Looks like I'll need a new bank card then.
Scammers, total bare-faced scammers. Too add insult to injury, they didn't even have the manual I was looking for; yet I still had to pay £1.49 to find that out!
Steer well clear!

I would have given them 0 stars if I could. I downloaded a manual from them for £1.49 not realising that they would charge me £24.90 membership. I really think this is daylight robbery.

I also bought an online manual for £1.25 ...Great, or so I thought.
The following day i was luckily advised by my banks fraud team that this company had tried to set up a monthly subscription ( without my permission) and attempted to withdraw the first payment of £25.99 .
Thanx to my banks quick response this was blocked and I in turn emailed this company to let them know this sub has been cancelled and that I would pass this blatant attempt at scamming innocent customers to trust pilot for all to read.
MyManuals just advised me the sub was cancelled , however... I would be losing out their wonderful service .
REALLY ?
