Transfer still incomplete after 23 weeks due to repeated basic mistakes.

Update: This issue was resolved and a subsequent transfer worked as intended; a small issue with the transfer was raised to me immediately and dealt with quickly.

I have been waiting now for 23 weeks to get a pension transfer completed. The first contact was simply unacknowledged. The second attempt had automated responses but only after I chased a couple of months later was I told that 'something had gone wrong' and the transfer request hadn't been sent. 23 weeks on I've just chased again and been told that the other pension company used an incorrect reference when they sent the funds, and the request was going to have to be re-submitted.
I'm deeply concerned that these errors are happening, and more concerned that it takes me to chase Raindrop to even have them detected. If a basic problem like receiving money and not knowing where to allocate it is being ignored, what else is going missing behind the scenes?

My sincere apologies for the delays you have experienced with your pension transfer. While we did receive your transfer request, it was not submitted straight away to your current pension provider which caused the initial delay.

As I confirmed with you separately, the funds had already been requested to be resent after they were sent with the wrong reference by your current provider, and we should receive them shortly. As our pension administrator contacted your provider directly, we were not made aware of this delay at the time. However, I can assure you this was already being dealt with and was not missed by our administrator. We take all feedback on board and are putting steps in place to ensure this does not happen again.

10/10 experience - thank you!

Raindrop was super proactive and attentive in helping me to track down lost pension pots. The website is very straightforward and so different from all the other pension websites I’ve visited. I found the pension calculator useful to visualise/map out pension planning. I can’t thank them enough for going the extra mile in turning my pension situation around!

I had no clue about pensions
