Was given an unfair rating by our letting agency. They stated they couldn't give a proper review as they've not come for an inspection yet, but that our rent is paid up to date. Then they gave us 1 st... See more

The rental CV thing is simply a front for gathering extensive personal data. Your data is then sold and this is where they make their money Think about it - no fee - but nothing is ever free. Of all these types of companies this one really pushes the scam hard going for extremely personal data.
They want more information from you than a bank would for a mortgage, and for what, renting a property. When did a credit check ever need to be done for renting a flat until companies like this arrived.
Avoid at all costs
Complete waste of time, see the other reviews... Difficult to fill in, not user friendly, asking for way too much information. The only positive is that they deleted my account quickly when I asked them to.
Waste of time in a big way. Takes ages to fill and no way to skip to next step.
I am a fully qualified lawyer, and I found this website to be abysmal and not fit for purpose.
The navigation is confusing, and there is no option to bypass sections that are not applicable, rendering it effectively useless.
If an agency insists on using this platform in the future, I will seek out another agency that does not.
I am trying to rent a one-bedroom flat for 12 months, not apply for military security clearance.
If you value your data and time, avoid this website at all costs.
Very fast and efficient at deleting my account and data
The amount of data they request is more than even MI6 knows or my own mother!
To verify my eligibility only half the data is needed.
I refuse to be taken for a ride by this undercover data phishing platform.
Why am I saying all this? I work with data and compliance within FS. This is as shady as they come.
Attempting to create my rental CV, however website is broken and will not proceed to allow me to enter details.
Why is all this necessary just to me to view a flat? Complete farce and waste of 2 hours of my day trying to enter my details. Still waiting.
Service feels like data minding, you should not need bank statements, references, and all this, prior to even viewing a flat.
I requested a call at a time that suited me, and was blown away with the service. In one half hour call, we were able to sort out broadband, council tax, insurance and energy. The concierge service has taken the stress out of finding and moving to a new place. I can look forward to moving, rather than feeling stressed!
What a mission to try and complete their 'CV'
Trying to rent after being abroad for a number of years.
Support from their team is very basic and does not seem to comprehend that not every renter fits into a neat tick the box situation
This is my second time using them. They really make the hassle of moving much much easier. So far, They have set up council tax, broadband, electricity, gas for me, helped me choose the best provider and made the process of applying easier.
This service mainly benefits the landlord. Yes it does make renting a property easier as in you can do 1 application form and letting agents can view it. But it only provides a cv for the tenants. Therefore I would not have moved into my new property had I known what I know now.
I provided some feedback and advised myrental cv it would have been nice to view the landlords/letting agents cv but was told this was not appropriate. Not sure why? If applying for jobs I can view what people have said about them as an employer on Indeed. So I'm not sure why a letting agent having a cv would not be appropriate. If they change their response I'll change my review.
Bank statements, emplyer references, guarantors and credit checks just to view a property??
What's next, sign in blood and sacrifice a goat when 2 planets intersect with the moon?
Next thing you know in 2 years time the parent company will start another business providing credit scores, the reason for collecting so much data about you is NOT because they want to see if you're a good tenant... you can be sure of that.
Very professional staff and quick service - helped me get my flat
Excellent customer service support with very prompt responses.
Great experience and service. Only snag was the open banking APIs which stuck loading a few times.
The team completed my forget me request on the same day.
This made applying for rental properties so easy. I can show letting agents my profile and it automatically updates to when whenever I add to it. Also the customer service is great.
If agencies genuinely think using such systems to make their already non-intensive paper-based work more "efficient", is the way forwards then tenants should have the same rights to request the exact same data from agencies and landlords. To ensure that the property can be maintained and improved upon during their stay, and references from previous tenants (as landlords & agencies can be nightmares). If you have to be a "model" tenant, then this should also apply to the agencies and landlords too. And we know if their job was dependent on there actual performance and not the case of housing demand, most will be out of business.
I wouldn't even bother further engaging with any agencies that ask you to use this system or go as far as asking for intimate information BEFORE you've been allowed to view a property, as this is how internalised prejudice & discrimination, racism, ageism, sexism, discrimination based on occupation occurs, hidden under "tenancy checks", for they will have all that data to identify and discriminate if they simply just don't "like" you, your occupation, your income etc. You've let alone been allowed to view a property, and agencies are asking for "credit score", and personal bank statement when you've not yet VIEWED a property. Not legal to discriminate against people in general, and people have the right to view and have an opinion of a property. Agencies still discriminate against people on DSS, by rejecting people for not having the right x3 "annual income" (based on their opinion and doubt even if they have salaries that high) or "sorry landlord wants xyz". Not got a guarantor (cause apparently we all have loaded parents&friends) even though you have enough to pay for the property, sorry, no can do. They shouldn't be surprised when a robot takes over their jobs.
