Billy was fantastic when snagging our new build. He was professional throughout and took the time to clearly explain the entire report, walking us through what to expect from the outcome and highlighting potential fixes in a way that was easy to understand.

The report itself was thorough and detailed, without wasting pages confirming aspects that were fine (which we’ve seen with other snagging companies). Builders appreciated this for their review too.

Billy also pointed out a number of issues we simply wouldn’t have noticed ourselves, which made the service more than worthwhile. Money well spent, would recommend him to anyone buying a new build.

Not sure what I was expecting but I’m really glad I got Billy to do this snagging survey for me. There are a few things I hadn’t noticed (and I’m a bit of an eagle eye) that need fixed/replaced plus some important documentation found to be missing. Above all though, I got the reassurance that I’d got a good house. It’s amazing how good that feels when you hear it from an expert! I can definitely sleep at night now. Hopefully all the amendments will be completed soonish and then I’ll get Billy back to check the outcome. I’m so glad I went ahead and booked this survey - all absolutely great and mega thorough. Using Snag-Right was so easy and we were guided throughout which made everything much easier to understand. I think a lot of people assume that a snagging inspection is just checking for cosmetic damage, but the extent of their inspection is breathtaking compared to just checking for chips and dents. It was incredibly thorough and covered a large number of items that a normal homeowner wouldn't check themselves.

Another aspect that we really appreciated was how realistic they were in terms of what the report would cover. By employing ex site managers, they ensure that they are picking up things that need to be sorted out and not filling a report with items that the builder has no obligation to fix. We wanted to keep the great relationship we had with our builder going forward and so it was comforting to know that the report would be balance up what needed to be sorted with the reality of building a new build.

Such a great service and excellent value for money. Billy carried out an extensive survey and highlighted many snags and issues that we could never have spotted ourselves. Highly recommended to all new build home owners.

Cannot recommend highly enough. My snagging was completed today and the level of detail that Billy went into was extraordinary and I cannot believe how much we missed. This had given me complete peace of mind but also some key things I can challenge the builder to

Billy was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He explained the process and kept me informed throughout the inspection, highlighting the more significant issues as he came across them. He worked diligently and was very friendly - I have recommended him to my sister when she moves into her new build. Billy also got the final report over very promptly, despite being busy, an excellent service all round!

Excellent snagging company, Billy was fantastic. Very professional and friendly and left us with a list of snags that we would never have spotted in our new build home. Saved us a lot of time and money. Would highly recommend.

If your spending hundreds of thousands on a new build it well worth spending a few hundred on a professional inspection. The whole process from start to end was excellent. Billy arrived spot on time, worked round our tiller and other comings and going’s and pretty much worked solidly for 5 hours on the inspection.

The inspection picked up things that we would never have picked up on our own and even the peace of mind to know that there is no major structural issues is worth the fee alone.

They even stayed late to get our report to us on the day they said with the final report being sent at 9:30 at night, keeping us up informed the whole time. That’s some proper customer service.

Overall would highly recommend Snag Right if your buying a new home.

First home and a new build. Needed to get a professional snagging survey done for various reasons.

Booking the survey was simple and liked that it was split in two payments 1) for initial booking and 2) for final report, nice way to break it down, not seen very often in my experience.

Billy was on time, professional and very friendly. I was in the flat organising a few other things while the survey was going on. Amazing what he could point out and the attention to detail leaving no 'stone unturned'. Learned a lot from the experience as well. Billy was happy to answer any questions in the mean time.

It's worth adding that the survey is not purely decoration or finishing but a full survey into plumbing, electrics and heating system as well. Caught me by surprise as I didn't know any better, but excellent job all round and found a faulty heating system.

The report looks very professional and easy to read with each point referencing a photo on a second document. Sent this on to builders to review who were also quite pleased with the report.

Highly recommend Billy and the service in general that was provided, couldn't have expected more.

My husband and I bought a new house from David Wilson Homes at Cammo Meadows in Edinburgh in late 2022; we are first time buyers with limited knowledge on new properties. Billy conducted the snagging inspection for us. He is very thorough, patient, knowledgeable and provided good advice to us. Billy did a great job in snagging my new build house. Prior to visit, I was sent information about what I needed to do prior to the visit, which was very helpful. Billy arrived on time and untook the review within the time he stated. He was very diligent and took time assessing each room. When there was something he needed me to see he explained it very clearly and concisely. My house is a three bed semi which took about 4 hours to review. As I had just moved in, I didn't have much furniture so he was able to access rooms easily. I would highly recommend Snag-right.

Billy was professional and detailed, he was realistic about what to expect from the report. He took time to explain the process and ask us about issues we had found before undertaking the inspection. The report has been well worth the money, lots of things we wouldn’t have known about including potential leaks, solar panels set incorrectly, misaligned doors/units, loose roof tiles….our builder is now starting to work through list.

Billy came round to snag our Taylor Wimpey new build property. He explained the whole process in detail and then quietly worked around the family on a Saturday. I wasn't sure initially about paying for snagging but he found an additional 90+ items that weren't visible to me. I have recommended Snag Right to a number of people now and will continue to do so
