Add a tiny dash of salt, fab. All other soups are above average for shop bought soup so a bit mystified with the bad reviews. Lentil and Bacon on another level however and the whole family loves... See more

Quality has declined.

The soup flavour was lentil and bacon. Plenty of lentils and veggies but the bacon consisted of tiny squares of meat all exactly the same size. It was tasteless and thin. I couldn’t finish it and threw half away. Will never buy this brand again. It used to be excellent but haven’t bought it for maybe a year and the quality has definitely declined. Very sad. Should never compromise on the quality of ingredients and try to keep the cost down. Next time Waitrose own label.

We loved it

We loved it! Not tried the mushroom one which doesn't seem to be popular. Bought the chicken and sweetcorn, on the pricey side but got it on special offer.
Thick, tasty and microwavable in the carton.

Mushroom soup - disgusting

I bought some Covent Garden mushroom soup the other day from Tescos - it was disgusting. I thought it was me feeling a bit off and I took the remainder to a friend who tried it and said it was glutunous & agreed it was disgusting. I see from some other reviews I am not alone. Not going to buy Covent Garden again as a brand

I enjoy the New Covent Garden vegetable…

I enjoy the New Covent Garden vegetable soup most of the time. I enjoy a soup with vegetable chunks and a nice blend of herbs and spices. The only time I don't enjoy it is when air has found its way into the product and turns the milk sour. This is one of my favourites.

Leek and potato soup

I bought the leek and potato soup from ASDA a couple of days ago with a best before date of the 25/11 it's now the 19/11 I have never tasted anything so bad before it was just not edible one spoonful and it had to be discarded, you live and learn.

Overpriced and tasteless

I always see these soups in major supermarkets but they are always out of budget for me.
I eat soup for lunch at work every day, and thought I’d treat myself this week and have a little more luxury.
What a mistake-a to make-a!!!
I first tried the vegetable one and it was horrible. It is like water with the odd bit of carrot and parsnip in it, totally lacks any flavour and actually started to make me feel sick the more I ate, so most of it got thrown away, and I HATE food waste.
The next one I tried was chicken, which is fine if you add a LOT of black pepper to it but really lacks flavour and has very little chicken in it, most of which is dry and stringy.
I wish I’d read the reviews on here prior to purchasing as I’d never have bothered, it seems the quality has dropped but the price certainly has not.
I will never buy this again, bitterly disappointed and really unsure why the supermarkets bother to stock this.
Total waste of money

As with other reviews recently about…

As with other reviews recently about the mushroom soup which I should have read beforehand it was the worst soup I have ever tasted. Years I tried this soup which found ok but this should be sent trading standard as it bears no relation to mushroom soup

Horrible & watery vegetable soup

What’s happened with the Vegetable Soup. It’s so watery now & no real chunks of vegetables.

This soup used to be very nice. From all the other reviews on here they have really gone downhill.

Won’t be buying again. Total waste of money even on offer.

I use to love Covent Garden mushroom…

I use to love Covent Garden mushroom soup when it first came out. It’s horrible now. No rich taste, the mushrooms taste as if they’ve been processed.. maybe frozen first - the soup tastes akin to dirty mushroom water ..it was my go to favourite but I won’t be buying it again 😢

I just had the mushroom soup which was…

I just had the mushroom soup which was very nice, the only reason why I have marked it 3 out of 5 is because there is quite a lot of salt in it, the sodium type of salt (processed) is not good for you, they need to put sea salt in it and reduce the salt amount, then it would get a 5 out of 5.

A total fail by The New Covent Garden…

A total fail by The New Covent Garden Soup Co ...really diappointed with their effort stocked in my local supermarket. The ready made Gazpacho soup Tesco used to stock was excellent. The New Covent Garden Soup Co has totally messed this up...tastes predominantly of capsicum and nothing else. Guys check the recipe...you could improve this.
As I do make my own soups it's time to get the blender out and make this summer cooler.

Gazpacho is not gazpacho....

I was very excited when I saw the new flavour Gazpacho. Then I was disappointed that it does NOT taste anywhere near real Gazpacho. As a spanish person, it is a crime to use the name Gazpacho to a random tomato flavour.
I will be happy to teach you how to do a real, tasty and fresh Gazpacho.
Hasta la vista baby 😎
