Useless container impossible to open, prime example of the educated fool. been to school and learnt it in a book, wont be buying again even if its reduced to zero

My husband and I have been big fans of your brand soup in the past, buying it every week. Even recommending it to friends over other brands because of the fresh ingredients and no preservatives you offer. However, after a very disappointing experience with the spiced butternut cartoons we bought this week we have noticed a big drop in quality. Only 9% of the product is butternut puree, therefore can you really say it’s butternut soup when there is three and a half times that amount of carrot? Even then, that means more than half your product is WATER which is so obvious when tasting the soup. Seeing I had bought so many originally I have resorted to reducing the soup on the stove top to try cook out some of this water as it’s so watery the flavour is barely detectable. Extremely disappointed with what we thought was a respectable brand has restored to ‘shrinkflation’ tactics.

Covent Garden mushroom soup used to be reliably lovely . Rich , creamy and full of mushroom flavour .
What have they done ? Why ?
I’ll never buy it again . Watery with hideous little cubes of diced mushroom . Utterly ruined . What a shame .

The classic chicken soup used to be great it used to have real decent sized chunks of chicken in and a nice peppery buttery flavour. Now it has a couple strings of chicken at most and is bland. What happened

I tried the mushroom soup. I was shocked how someone can make such a tasteless mushroom soup. Why add rice in soul such a stupid movie. It just upset my stomach. This is the worst soup i have ever tasted in my life

The mushroom soup is tasteless and the rice is disgusting unnecessarily added! It’s mushroom soup why add rice? Try a few more mushrooms! Rice is wrong in soup! Never buying it again

Poor quality, no actual ingredients. Compared with Aldi's Soupreme soups they are a significantly inferior, much more expensive alternative.

- Flavour: Covent Garden soup is really lacking any flavour. Soups tried include chicken soup and mushroom soup
- Content: Lacking any real actual ingredients. Chicken soup has 1-2 pieces of chicken, the mushroom soup contains a couple of mushroom fragments

I was prompted to write this review after trying one of the Aldi alternatives which contains a lot of actual ingredients like chicken and sweetcorn and is just a superior product

I saw these soups on offer at Sainsbury's reduced from £2 to £1.25. I'd recently been eating Sainsbury's own brand which are ok for the price, but decided to 'treat' myself this time. I have just finished the leek and potato... what a disappointment. Bland and watery - completely tasteless. Sainsbury's own is far better. I've got a chicken and a vegetable soup left to eat and I am not looking forward to those. I won't be buying this brand again.

Every soup tastes soooo good, I love every single product. Recently tried creamy tomato!!!! 10/10

What a total disappointment - Lentil & Smoked Bacon Soup totally inedible. No taste of bacon or lentils. Am worried about what has happened.

I’ve found Covent Garden Soups too salty to eat anymore. I used to think they were as good as home made soups but from a nutritional and health point of view the amount of salt is far too high.

I used to love the covent Garden Leek and Potato soup but now it's inedible. It used to be thick and creamy but now it's just watery and salty. The saltiness overpowers any flavour, I needed several glasses of water after as it left my mouth so dry. Don't waste your money.

Chicken soup recipie has changed - and not for the better. No chicken, bland tasting and odd texture. Used to be great, now awful.

I have had the spiced butternut soup a few times in the past and this time I noticed it’s now very watery and doesn’t taste like it used to? It was such a significant change that I checked the reviews on the soup and have seen everyone saying the same thing. Won’t be buying again.

Shocking that they have stopped putting chicken pieces in there soup, I wouldn't be buying again

Not sure what I’ve found in the soup and probably don’t want to know what was that but I can say that was definitely nothing anyone should eat !!!! Disgusting!!!!

vegetable soup has a chunk of meat in it! yuk! come on seriously? I won't be buying again - will do a video opening the other soup I have in case it has meat in that as well

Clearly some cost-cutting going on here. You used to at least get some decent chunks of chicken, now it's just a few strands. It's also much more watery than I remember.
Won't be buying this again!
