The soup flavour was lentil and bacon. Plenty of lentils and veggies but the bacon consisted of tiny squares of meat all exactly the same size. It was tasteless and thin. I couldn’t finish it and thre... See more

Quite possibly the worst soup I've ever…
Quite possibly the worst soup I've ever consumed. Considered throwing it up and trying it again but I decided to drown my sorrows with a special brew instead.
Much Too Sweat & Unpleasant Taste - Tomato & Basil Soup
Tomato & Basil Soup - UGH! MUCH TOO SWEET
and Unpleasant Taste.
Why add 4.4 gm sugar per 100 gm? Tomatoes are naturally sweet.
And Carton no longer includes plastic closer
My wife tried the mushroom soup and…
My wife tried the mushroom soup and thought it was bland and tasteless, she added salt and pepper to give it a taste, I tried it , never tasted anything so horrible, poured it down the sink and it stunk like shiiiii , save your money , make it yourself , it will taste better and it’s cheaper.
Bland, tasteless
Probably the most bland, tasteless soup we have ever tasted…. Horrid. Total waste of money.
This is the first time I have bought this product.
WOW.
WOW.. Gorgeous, tasty, smooth and completley a total beautiful experience. My Dad swears by it over the years... However £2.25 is a little steep!
Just opened a Covent Garden Classic…
Just opened a Covent Garden Classic Chicken. It's pretty pathetic. looks like coloured water. It is fairly tasty however and is creamy. For me, it needs more vegetable content. The chicken is there. I'd never buy another. though
Lentil and bacon
Add a tiny dash of salt, fab.
All other soups are above average for shop bought soup so a bit mystified with the bad reviews. Lentil and Bacon on another level however and the whole family loves it.
Speaking of family we do miss the bigger pack. The small size is the perfect replacement for the work sarnie but if the whole family wants the (L&B) soup then the bigger carton was better.
New covent garden soup,
New covent garden soup,, over rated fake pulp!!
do all of the soups taste like potato soup with added ingredients to suffice the title ??
I used to love the classic roast…
I used to love the classic roast chicken, but over the last few years they have reduced the size of the container from 700g to 600g and now 560g. The price is still the same and has not been reduced in stores, so I think it is overpriced for the size. They have meddled around with the ingredient’s and changed the taste. The only way I would describe the flavour, and compare it to, is taste less wall paper paste and if I wanted to boil up and eat paste, I would buy Solvite, being frank it would probably taste better.
New Covent Garden SOUP - Secret Added Sugar!
I messaged the company regarding the amount of added sugar in their soups, which is something the fail to show on the label under the ingredients - the failed to respond! I am diabetic and though nice healthy soup would be good for me until I found out that New Covent Garden Soups contain more sugar than a can of energy juice!
I done the math and worked out how much sugar should be in that quantity of soup and it was a fraction of what is shown on their packaging for the amount of sugar, therefore they are adding teaspoons of sugar into the soup. They have 9 - 18 times more sugar than a normal vegetable soup!!! wow. That's 4 teaspoons of added sugar!!!
