Love my Niche Zero!
Purchased my Niche coffee grinder back in November 2020 and in the 4.5 years I've been using it have experienced Zero issues. Pun intended.
Workflow is fantastic for single dosing, coffee retention is minimal and the conical burrs provide consistent and precise grinding.
The design of the Niche Zero is both functional and visually appealing, and its compact size make it a perfect fit for any kitchen counter or workspace.
Sure there are better, more expensive grinders out there, but the Niche Zero is perfect my needs and I can't see myself "upgrading" any time soon.
Highly recommended!
Niche zero grinder.
I bought this grinder a few months back now and it's has been put through its paces, and let me tell you, it's a amazing single dose grinder. I have used it for esspresso and filter. It's easy to dial in and find the right grind size, it's is very intuitive to use.
4 years later
Purchased my Niche Zero in 2020 and four years later it is performing just as great as the day I got it. It is used for espresso every day and the occasional pour over/cold brew. Admittedly I clean it far less than I should so I notice it loses 1-2g without proper maintenance. I measure before and after so this isn't an issue for me. Truly all I could ask for in a grinder.
Amazing grinder and support
I bought my Niche Zero almost 5 years ago and it's had pretty much daily use since then. I love the machine, it looks amazing, nice and quiet and a nice consistent grind.
Just encountered my first issue with the motor and I’m happy to report the support was second to none. I’m well out of my warranty period, but James was happy to help troubleshoot and advise. A new motor is on its way out to me, which I’m sure will fix the issue. Top marks 😊
I have had the Niche for about 4 years
I have had the Niche for about 4 years, no problems. One morning it just stopped working. Got a hold of James at Niche and he got back to me and asked a few questions and said that I needed a new PCB and motor. Everything was shipped quickly and the Niche is now working like new.
Thanks James.
Very happy Niche Zero user for 5 years
I have had my Niche Zero for nearly 5 years now, my wife and me use it several time every day (or very nearly so).
This is a great grinder, we love it, not too noisy, and it looks very good in our kitchen.
Had a small issue last week, immediately sent a message to support which were very helpful into pinpointing the issue and providing me with a cheap and fast solution.
I didn't expect a service this good to be honest, especially after 5 years... I'm quite impressed, and this will definitely push me towards getting the Niche Duo at some point in the future.
Thanks to the team!
Richard
Fantastic grinder
After a lot of back and fros between coffee grinder reviews I finally settled on the Niche Zero. It is wonderful, it is quiet, grinds really well over a big range of grinds (I mainly drink Espresso and French press) and it looks very nice on the worktop without taking up lots of space. Altogether a delight.

Having a niche zero for about two years
I bought the niche zero along with a la marzocco micra in white about two years ago. It's been a great experience. No flaws, problems or quirks whatsoever. I'd recommend this true classic to anyone who is into making the best tasting coffee.
Perfect grinder and customer service
The grinder itself is perfect for me, quality is top notch and also the grind quality is perfect!
Also the customer service is great, not much waiting times for a response, and a special thanks to James for answering all my questions!
Niche Zero performs as it is promissed!
Niche Zero is a very well made product and really it performs in the way that it is promised! Druring my one wekk experience it showed retention within the limit of 0.1 g which is impressive!
A BOLT LOST and promptly replaced!
Have both the NICHE ZERO and DUO and love them! I grind at extremes... extremely fine for espresso and coarse for my French Press and the DUO covers the range with elan!
Only an old fellow could misplace a bolt in a moment...in the right hand then never to be seen again! Just an email across the ocean and I was back in business. Delivered promptly and I'm back in business with the best coffee (FRENCH ROAST...very oily...from OHORIS in Santa Fe, N.M.) on the block!
Thanks 🙏 Jim and Thanks 🙏 NICHE!
3 years with a zero has been great

Awesome machine
Awesome machine! Great workflow and very good performance at an affordable price.
Had the Niche Zero grinder for a few…
Had the Niche Zero grinder for a few years now. It has worked flawlessly all of that time. Highly recommend!
It works- like the energizer bunny
It works. It works and works and works and works. You need to fine tune your grind? Twist it a few dots. You want to switch to a cold brew from espresso? Turn it a couple rotations and try. You want Turkish. Might as well crank it all the way back down and make that too
This machine packs value. Is it a bummer to fork out however much in your currency? Yes. Is it going to elevate your coffee game? 1000% it will. Pair this with anything and your taste buds will praise you. The only down side? I lost the nut driver so the bolt came loose once. I had to 3d print a device to fix it. Oh, and it DOES build static when it's dry, but if you read the instructions it does say not to dampen the beans. Full disclosure, I spritz my beans every single dose, no static. (20% humidity in my house, very dry, still no static once spritzed)
There is a reason why most grinders are compared to the Niche Zero
I bought my Niche Zero several years ago and have been using it paired with a Gaggia Pro or a simple dripper. The Niche handles both espresso and filter coffee well with the simple turn of a dial. And with very little waste/loss even between grind settings.
Truly an innovation when it was launched there have been many imitators since but none of them look as nice as the Niche. The workflow is a simple single dose in and grind into the cup.
Cleaning is fairly simple when you get to it but not often needed as what you put in comes out. Adjustment and reassembly is incredibly easy.
There are better more specialist grinders out there and cheaper ones too. But the versatility of the Niche Zero sets it apart. The espresso may not be as nice as a flat burr grinder but it is not as expensive as those and it can grind filter. The filter brews may not be as full rounded as some grinders but they cost more and can't get anywhere near espresso. And the cheaper grinders will do the job but maybe not as easily or nicely.
Bought my Niche Zero grinder from Niche…
Bought my Niche Zero grinder from Niche almost 5 years ago when they were still on indiegogo.
I recently needed a replacement flow control disc. A small plastic disc and got bought one on their website for $10 plus free shipping from UK to New Zealand.
They've got a great and well deserved reputation and excellent after sales support and care.
Super happy with this grinder
Super happy with this grinder. I have been using it for 4 years now, still without any complaints.
Outstanding grinder, Excellent customer service
Niche has come a long way since the initial crowdfunding campaign in 2017. The Niche Zero was the first affordable single dosing grinder that opened the market for a number of following competitors. Apart from general appraisal for its quality and durability by several influencers, to me it is proof that their concept is right because the concept and configuration was never changed over the years. Doesn't mean there were improvements in manufacturing quality, but the grinder still has the same specifications today.
But features is only one thing to consider when selecting a grinder, the quality of the output is what you really enjoy every time you prepare a coffee. The conical burrs deliver full flavours very typical for this kind of burrs. Consistent and reliable one can be sure to get the same result every time.
With their relatively new model Duo, Niche again had a different approach towards the market, being the first grinder with easily swappable 83mm flat burrs coming with both dedicated espresso and filter burrs. Hence the name Duo. For those with a desire to have a more distinguished flavour profile, this was a huge step forward.
An even more outstanding and widely recognized advantage of Niche is their exceptional customer service. There is literally no one being left alone with any kind of potential issue. If ever required, their responses are fast and accurate, shipping surprisingly fast. Highly beneficial is the relatively simple ways to change parts yourself. With the right tools and attitude anything can be replaced easily.
Very positive is also an active Facebook community (the relevant group is "Niche Grinder Owners") as a great option to share experience and optimize the use of the grinder, independent of any support by the manufacturer.
In a nutshell:
Excellent grinder. Excellent service. Perfect investment.
I'm not saying that there are no other excellent grinders on the market. But for the same quality and grinding results you need to aim at a significantly higher price point. Funny to see how any new grinder announced as "Niche killer" is on the one hand always using Niche as the ultimate reference (which is saying something in itself) and on the other hand is always failing to actually deliver to their claim.
What is my only regret? Maybe a bit that I didn't have enough trust to invest during the initial IndiGogo campaign back in 2017.
I love my Niche Zero
I love my Niche Zero, bought it in early 2022 and now needed a spare part. I reached out to the support team via mail and James responded instantly. The provided support is excellent and very fast-responding. Today I received my spare and fixed it in minutes. The grinder is well built and easy to maintain.
