Excellent despatch

Excellent despatch, product arrived very quick and we were very happy, would definitely recommend and trade again. Thanks so much, a great bacon slicer.

NZ branch rang me to cancel my order…

NZ branch rang me to cancel my order but didn't refund me.
I had to escalate to PayPal because they ignored my email request to return my money. I've found myself a new supplier.

Zero Customer Service

Orders seem to go missing regularly. They charge courier fees and then take longer than AusPost to deliver. Trying to chase up orders or get a refund is impossible. You'd have more luck trying to bottle fairies. When you finally get hold of someone, they just make excuses (most of them completely unbelievable). Emails only get an auto-reponse. Contact them on social media and there's no response at all. This is one of the worst companies ever and they are making a joke out of "support local" and "buy Australian" efforts. Don't waste your time

rude intrusive offensive bizarre staff behaviour

overpriced, plates and cooking implements unwrapped for everyone to touch, plus the staff are very intrusive and rude and behave in a bizarre manner - I had a mask on (my choice) - in an assertive manner (not friendly) a staff member demanded to know if i was feeling all right as i had a mask on - making me feel quite uncomfortable about wearing it. I asked them why they had asked about the mask and felt obliged to explain that i wanted to wear on just through choice and that I was fine and if I wasn't fine i'd stay at home - the staff member said she would be OK if I had covid she would just "step back" - it was so offensive to suggest that I was the type of person who would not take precautions and not care for others - it was quite an unpleasant experience altogether (maybe the staff member was new to the job?)

Never buy something from them !!

Never buy something from them !!! They send me a pizza fridge with the marble top broken, they have sent another one with only 1 man delivery and of course I can't put in by myself into the premises,so the driver very rube drive way!! Maybe they are coming today to delivery the new one but again I've to pay someone to help me to put the big fridge inside, and they want me to carry out the broken fridge because the driver does not touch or help me at all to move the fridge!!! Worse company ever!!!!
I'm of on holiday tomorrow and they have ruined my refurbishment and part of my holidays!!! Also I've to cancel and reschedule all the builders,plumber and Electrician!!! Buy from a discount company is cheaper and more helpful!!! The equipment is exactly the same .!!! Useless

shocking Practices

Ordered an ice machine at The Beginning of May which was in stock with a 5-7 day delivery; 5 days later , I called to enquire about ETA to be told the item was out of stock; so I requested a refund and ordered a new one.
6 weeks later after 10 phone calls, 9 emails, I still have not had my refund of almost £1500 . Instead they have sent me an urgent reminder to make payment of £146.37 for an item that I ordered approximately a couple of weeks before I ordered the ice machine threating me with legal action if I do not pay by The 21st of June ( tomorrow) .
I have even sent two emails to The MD chasing up my refund; he has not even had the courtesy to send me a response .
all the customer service advisors , I have takes to ( and there has been several of them ) has apologised and have informed me they will make notes on file, what ever that means.
No ownership, no care and empathy towards the customers; They still have my money sitting in their bank account rather than mine, I wonder how many other customers are in the same boat.
Immoral practices by Nisbets; probably trying to earn interest on other peoples monies or improving cash flow, rather than showing empathy for a small business.

Computer says no!

So went into central Manchester 30 mile round trip to pick up a piece of equipment showing as available. The item was there, so I decide to set up an account . The sales person tells me the price which is £30 more than the price on the website. I pick up on this and he says he will speak to the manager. The manager wouldn’t honour the price on the web, but said they would deliver it if I liked. I explained I had technicians on site to fit the items hence why I came in to collect. What a farce. Avoid at all costs.

Yet another online company selling…

Yet another online company selling items without having them in stock. Nothing on the site to say not in stock.
More and more of this happening, I understand because of COVID it's hard to get stock from overseas, but at least be honest with your customers about it.

Sadly, not the supplier for us.

I am a relatively new customer to Nisbets. Have generally been happy with the service. Not the best, but until now, not the worst. Felt genuinely sorry for the lady on the phone, who understood my issue. But her manager wouldn’t come to the phone when I requested to speak to a senior member of the staff, and simply passed on a very abrupt and uninterested message. I ordered a cream charger and the gas to operate said gadget. Got the gadget no problem. It’s been standing on the countertop waiting for it’s power. A month later I ring to ask where the gas was. First I was told they had none in stock. And then I am told that it is in stock, but as a ‘domestic’ customer ( delivery address is our business address, so how they determine we are domestic, I don’t know), the item had been cancelled for me. Then I am told that it is because, it is a prohibited item and ‘illegal’. Really? ‘Illegal’? I am a grown up, and understand completely the need to be extra vigilant where this gas is concerned. But there has been no communication from this company to inform, or ask, if I was aware of said ‘illegal’ trading of this product. And, they sold me the machine that the gas was for. Why? By not allowing me the gas, the machine won’t work! I wanted to use this supplier as we, as a company, would prefer to support fellow local businesses. There is a Nisbets shop not far from us. But quite frankly, I get better service from the very dreaded Amazon. I have ordered my gas from there. It will be delivered tomorrow. And I will not order from Nisbets again. I may only order occasionally. But you never know do you, small orders might just lead to the biggest order ever. Or that is how we feel in our company. And would hope that our customers are not patronised in quite the way I was today. It is pretty much like buying a car, but not being allowed to purchase the engine. Very sad with the lack of logic in this company, and appalled by the attitude of the manager.

I have dealt with Nisbets a few times…

I have dealt with Nisbets a few times with great items at good prices.

Today I had exceptional customer service from Carol Gallagher. I was sent a pro forma but half the items didn't carry across so I panicked a little and called back. I got through to Carol this time who was so friendly and helpful and sorted out my issue in no time.

One negative I would highlight is that the numerous times I've spoken to Nisbets colleagues in the past, there always seems to be an issue with the system you guys are using. It's either very slow or it kicks them out or it crashes. I think the system needs an upgrade or improvement if possible as it would make your colleagues lives a lot easier.

This is no reflection on the customer service as the people I've spoken to have always been excellent but more an issue with the system. I hope Carol gets this feedback for her great help today.

Table Top Ordered - But Discontinued

I ordered a table it showed stock took my Money then 4 days later out the blue a full refund - no communication or alternative offered as the item is discontinued now apparently but is still available on the website now.
Very poor - wouldn’t trust there website again

I called in to the leeds store today…

I called in to the leeds store today looking at spending around £1000, as I walked in I wasn’t greeted and left to my own devices. When I couldn’t find what I wanted I went to approach a girl with glasses, I asked her if they have the knife set in that I wanted only to be told “no we don’t stock knife sets” any way I went on to explain that I’m looking for quiet a few things, but I’ve noticed that the shelves are looking empty. She then turned around and said there’s a shortage of HGV drivers plus Covid and started chuckling to herself, and then said everything is out that we have if you don’t see it we don’t have it( not a case of let me show you what we have)
I was really shocked how cocky she came across. All this was done with her sat down behind the desk. Nisbets if this is how you run your business I don’t want any of it.

Poor customer experience in the store…

Poor customer experience in the store of shoreditch.
I'm a regular buyer for small things and emergencies, I see that the managers are really putting effort but the cashier was slightly upset with me when I asked the price with VAT and you can't do that when I'm giving you 350 pounds VAT included.

Don't buy small items from Nisbets

Don't buy small items from Nisbets, because although they - in this case - were very speedy, they apparently care nothing for the environment. My items could have fitted into a small padded envelope, but came instead in an absurdly large cardboard box, perched on top of polythene puff bags. This wastes lorry space, as well as making the customer wait in for a delivery which could easily have fitted through the letterbox.
