2012 Car Too Old?

Website claimed part available, transaction took place, made arrangements to keep vehicle free for repairs (at my expense) then received an email saying part not available, system error and part obsolete.

Ordered a part

Ordered a part, it showed as available on their site, but wasn't. To be fair they emailed me pretty quickly to let me know and refunded me also.

The website is misleading for a start

The website is misleading for a start! I thought I was ordering g directly from Nissan found out later this was not the case.

I needed a rear muffler for my car looked up the part number typed it in on Google and this was the first site that came up the website stated to call before ordering to ensure the part will for your vehicle so I did.

The salesman confirmed that it would indeed fit but there had been a price increase and the price on the website hadn't been updated he then went on to state that the price had gone up by £100 + vat (a 25% increase on website price) I explained to him that this seemed a bit harsh and that he should by law honour the price advertised on the website, but he reufesd point blank.

I asked him whats to stop me from ordering online and paying the advertised price to which he replied "I'm manually updating the website as we speak and if you were to somehow order for that price we would simply send an email stating there was a price increase and I would need to pay the difference". By the time I had refreshed the page the price had been increased. I told him I would find another supplier as I didn't want to do business with them after that.

I did manage to get hold of the part I needed I got given a second hand back box for free of another owner who had recently put an upgraded sports exhaust on their car of the same model. (Right result), but I needed the gasket for it and didn't want to take any chances with aftermarket so came back here (still thinking they were Nissan themselves) and ordered the gasket.

I paid for the premium next day courier option on their website (Friday afternnon) and awaited the arrival of the gasket by Monday afternoon I had not even received an confirmation email of my order so I rang them to find out.

They then explained that the part had been ordered and was due in from Nissan tomorrow (Tuesday) and that depending what time it arrived it would be put on Tuesdays courier for deliver on Wednesday or on Wednesdays courier for delivery Thursday.

I first of all questioned why it had to be ordered from Nissan as I thought they was Nissan they then explained they are not they just sell Nissan parts. And then I asked for a refund on the next day delivery as this had not been achieved and was told that the small print states that its next day delivery from when we receive the part from Nissan not from date of order. At this point I asked to cancel the order and have my money refunded which they did do.

I then rang my local Nissan dealership (Monday afternoon) and gave them the part number... I had the part at 10am The next day. It cost me half the price of this company and I didn't have to wait for anything.

This company in a scam, they have deliberately set up their website to look as if its Nissan Directly but they are simply middle who don't even hold stock. They wait for an order, order it themselves from Nissan put a ridiculous mark up on the item and then make you wait for it.

Do yourself a favour if you're reading this and go to Nissan Directly it will save you time and money this company offers absolutely no benefits at all to using them over Nissan they literally order the part from the same place you would and charge a premium for the doing so and because they don't hold the stock it takes longer for you to receive your parts as they have to be delivered to this company first and then forwarded on to their customer.

Waiting over a month for a refund, inaccurate delivery prices

I ordered a rear diffuser. The next day i get an email saying its oversized for the quoted delivery so the delivery will be an extra £30 or i could get a refund.

I chose a refund but this has not yet come through. I requested the refund on 31st July its now 22nd of August. They have emailed with various excuses since but no refund has come yet!

Recommend to all Infinity owners

Great communication, part is exactly what I expected it to be. There was a bit of wait but it was clearly communicated as part was on backorder. I own a Infinity QX30 which is a rare car, but here I was able to get part I needed with no fuss (providing you know part number - you could add some pictures or more description about the part like colour) I recommend buying from this seller.

Excellent service after several failed attempts

After failed attempts to get any response from Nissan Aberdeen where I bought the car, Nissan France where I now live and Nissan Limoges who serviced my car who said that they could not get the exhaust parts, nissangenuine.com came to my rescue - and that of my 7 year old car. Thank you Nissan Genuine and especuially their service staff member, Ashley Tomkinson, who was very helpful throughout the whole process. Excellent service.
