I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with northbound. The online booking process was easy and had some of the best prices I found. A shuttle came to pick us up from the airport and took us to the pickup location. The pickup process was seamless, efficient, and easy. Our shuttle driver was friendly and gave us the rundown of how to drive in Iceland. Overall experience was a 10/10!

Great car for a very reasonable price compared to other firms

I rent the Subaru Forester Automatic to perform a road trip of the Island. The car was clean and didn't encounter any issues during my rental. I add also a roof box and this was useful with all the luggages of a family of 4 and camping stuffs.
Car is great and offer speed control which is very useful to avoid speed fines when driving on Road 1

Everything was awesome the only thing that i mention is that the insurance is not returned after the car checked that is ok. And also they did not informed me from the beginning for this.

The north bound web site suggest to rent a SUV to go on the F roads,i.e moutains roads, but it is just impossible, and not covered by any insurance. You ll need a real powerful 4x4 for that.
So better to rent a 2x for N1 and gravels roads. Or take a SUV for more confort and to drive quicker on gravel roads.
Car rentals is so expensive in Iceland, don't waste more money by following the fake suggestions.

It was even more than we expected, fully equipped with a panoramic rooftop and the whole process to get the car was easy and quick, the staff was friendly and explained everything in detail.

Overall, a good experience. I was a little nervous when I arrived very early in the morning and there was no one from Northbound to pick us up. Took about 30 minutes before someone arrived. I had called two of the phone numbers for Northbound from the airport and wasn't able to get anyone on the phone. Also, it would be helpful to have a larger sign saying "MyCar" near the entrance to the drop off driveway to make it more clear where the car needed to be returned.

We used the northbound booking service to get a car in Iceland and everything went super smoothly. We showed the car company our voucher and everything went well from there! Northbound is easy to use and trustworthy and brings some transparency to the rental car business!

With Nordbound we had the perfect platform to book our travel vehicle. Everything went perfectly.

The staff at Go Iceland were fantastic and super helpful. The check-in and check-out processes for the vehicle were fast and easy. We had an issue with the windscreen and tyre pressure sensor but they checked everything and assured us that it would be ok. Would highly recommend them.
