Norwegian stole my money
Norwegian refused to give me a refund or a reasonable solution for my awarded cashpoints, then they expired the cashpoints before I could use them. These people are thieves, I suggest you use other airlines. Rosalia in customer services was the exact person who refused to honour our agreement. I have lost £450 with these thieves.
Wrongly charged for Included Hand luggage
Booked a trip to Stockholm via MyTrip where return flight was on Norwegian Airlines. Our travel documentation said my husband and I each had an 8kg piece of hand luggage included yet the NA rep on return check in made us pay £20.11. She said it was MyTrip’s fault and to contact them later for reimbursement. MyTrip refuse to refund us saying:
We would like to inform you that the baggage allowance of each reservation is determined by the airline, depending on your flight, your ticket value and your fare. Our agency can only provide additional baggage allowance provided that the airline system has such an option.
Are they implying it’s your error?
Our flight was D84463 on 29/8/24 at 18:45 - Daniel & Annemarie Young. If you check the details you will see our hand luggage WAS included - so why were we charged?
Easy Budget airline
Easy Budget airline. Flew from Stockholm to Gatwick and didn’t have any trouble for any part of the journey, flight was also lovely and smooth.
Definitely deserve a better rating for the price. I think people expect too much from a budget airline. They get you from A to B and if your only taking hand luggage I’d say this airline is ideal
If you want to book seats don’t use this airline
Due to a medical condition I had booked my family into row 2, as I needed to be at the front of the plane. I checked in and our boarding passes specified row 2 and then they moved us to the middle of the plane!
Why bother to book seats at all?
Don’t use this airline it was late, had no WiFi on the flight and took money under false pretences.

I was traveling with Norwegian Airlines and unfortunately I forgot an item on the plane. I tried contacting Norwegian through their costumer service, but no one seemed to care. I wasn’t helped in any way to get my item back. very frustrating compared to how many times I have traveled with the airline.
The company have a customer service phones number but no email to contact. The possibilities for help offered by the phone number are critically limited, and several of them refer to visiting their website, where you can't find help either...
Avoid
No medicine on the flights and they overbook the flights.
I missed my flight because it was overbooked. I'm left stranded in a different city and they offer little support

Horrendous airline
Horrendous airline. Lost luggage and eventually returned it damaged.
Useless customer service who did not reimburse for emergency items, damaged case or compensate for inconvenience of being in cruise for a week with just the clothes on my back. Chased multiple times to no avail.

From the moment it came to boarding and they didn’t announce a gate until 10 minutes before shutting the gate, I should have known this was a bad sign…
On the plane, the tray was covered in food from the journey before, the seats were feeble and spartan, the plane landing literally the scariest I’ve had out of hundreds, as it hit the rainy runway and then felt like it had lost control and we burnt rubber all the way down the runway!
But it’s the loss of our luggage that really makes this experience tragic. We are on day 3 out of 5 of our holiday. They have ‘located’ 2 bags but not the 3rd, and said they would sent them but 24 hrs later we still have nothing. We all have medication in our bags (never had a problem before so didn’t think about not putting in hold luggage!) and are miserable. Norwegian airlines couldn’t care a bit. The phone line is a joke and they just lie to get you off the phone.

Bad service.. website reporting for damage luggage was functional but zero.response despite sending messages and enail via contact centre. In the end, issue was NOT resolved.
Great Airline
A super airline with modern aircraft and lovely crew. I recently flew to Stockholm with them and back from Copenhagen. One criticism, the on-board food needs improvement, but hey, this is a budget airline and budget prices. Take your own sandwiches on board and buy a cup of tea and you're set to go!

I booked some flights I paid cash, got refunded in points that I could never use, which then expired.
I booked some flights to New York some years ago. For some reason, I didn't fly and was refunded in credit / points - not in cash, despite attempting to be refunded in cash, which was the original payment method.
Some time down the line, I changed city (moved from London to Zurich) plus the connection to New York ceased to be operated. In fact, Norwegian doesn't serve many airports / destinations any more and it's extremely difficult to make use of my credits.
I also realised now that my credits, worth c. £250, just vanished as of 2024 as they expired.
If this isn't robbery of my money then what is it?

Denied boarding
My boarding pass said Alex when my passport says Alexandra. The person on the gate was incredibly rude, she rang the ticket line to ask if it could be changed but it was refused. I was denied boarding and I had to then pay for a new ticket later in the day. I tried to call their assistance line and the wait was 45 minutes. The lady at the gate was also very rude to the people behind me who were travelling with a young baby.
The worst experience ever!!!
The airline damaged the suitcase, lost them, told to pick them up in a completely different city than the place of residence. An additional 160 eur was paid for the suitcase both ways, because it did not match the measurements but on the way back we had to pay an additional 60 eur, because they did not mark it in the system. It was the worst experience, all the main things, clothes, gifts were in the suitcase. Even one star for this airline is too much. Also the prices for couple kg overweight suitcase are cosmic! This airline employs are also no big help at all.

As other people have stated, their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced in dealing with any company in any field. Something we are not used to in this country. Unless they address that vital issue I do not see much future for them.
In 2020 I paid them £829.80 for return flights to the USA from London. The flights were cancelled due to COVID. Due to illness I was unable to fly at a later date when normal flights were resumed which I explained to their customer services. Despite numerous requests they have not refunded my money. In desperation I wrote to their CEO in Norway explaining the situation 3 weeks ago. I have not received a reply or even an acknowledgement. This speaks volumes as to why their customer service further down the line is as it is. Unbelievable arrogance.
Unfortunately I am left with only one alternative, to apply for a a judgement against them.
One of the worst airline in Europe and…
One of the worst airline in Europe and with zero customer support. Our connecting flight was delayed from Rovaniemi to Helsinki and as a result we missed the connection at Helsinki Airport. I went to Norwegian helpdesk to find a super unfriendly lady who told that it is our problem that we missed the flight and there is nothing she or Norwegian Airlines could do. That is happening in Europe! And first time in our travelling experiences.
When I demand a reasonable solution and response from Norwegian Airlines, the customer support counter lady threatened me to call airport security. Bravo Norwegian Airlines. Keep it up. You will be grounded soon.
We had to purchase a new ticket from Finnair spending another £700 on the spot to avail our rest of the journey leg between Helsinki to London Heathrow. Listen Norwegian, I am taking legal advice and you should be ready for a legal fight. That is the path I will drag this airlines into. We already suffered and this should not happen to any other travelers. The situation that evening in Helsinki was stressful for both my wife and I. I will see the end of this ordeal. Never ever fly with Norwegian, if you don't have other option other than Norwegian then I will suggest you to grow your own wings, there is a chance you will have a pair of wings than getting any help from Norwegian so called customer support. I hate this airlines from my bones.

Flight DY1322 Tromso to London Gatwick
Flight DY1322 Tromso to London Gatwick. Due to depart at 06:10. Didnt board until 06:45. No explanation from airside staff. Aircrew arrived after scheduled departure. No reason for this, every passenger managed to get there on time!!! Then instead of boarding the plane linked to our air bridge, we had to trudge through driving snow to another aircraft parked further away. To top it all, the locker above our premium seats in Row 1 were full of aircrew gear. If Mickey Mouse had an airline it would be Norwegian!!! Final note, a passenger with mobility issues was allowed to sit in row 1!
Travelled to Helsinki on Norwegian Luggage Damaged
Travelled to Helsinki on Norwegian. Baggage damaged. Went immediately to report but NO staff on the desk. Lady from next desk told us they are never there but scan the QR code shown and claim online. We did this and completed the form, uploaded images of the damage and told them of our address during our stay to receive replacement. Received a confirmation reference number. Checked the site daily to see if there was any contact. Nothing. tried the link for 'live chat' daily for several day but an unable to talk to a live person. Just standard machine generated replies. Finally managed to talk to person to be told that the reference number given was 'not in our system'. Agent sent me a link to 'try again' This was a different form to complete but strangely, to complete it, I had to use the reference 'not know to system' Finally had mail from customer services saying I was out of time as claims must be made within 7 days. Now, when I reply I get machine generated message. I'm sure the QR code is intentionally linking to a useless but genuine looking claim form. Tried to mail CEO at gier.karlsen@norwegiandotcom but my mail was 'Denied'.
