Cheap Airline that will leave you ££££££ out of pocket
Awful customer service - Departments that don't speak to each other and months of waiting for claims to be paid.
Our flight way delayed for 3 hours before being cancelled. The airport staff were dismissive and helpful - They told us they didn't have hotels for us and we should book our own and claim with receipts.
Well, a month on and we are still sat hundreds of pounds out of pocket for missed hotels, an airport hotel and activities missed after a long weekend in Stockholm became less than 24 hours!
We've tried contacting them multiple ways.
Email = no response.
Phone = "not our department"
Chat = "There are no time scales"
Awful support and scammers
Awful support, my flight was cancelled during the pandemia, they not offer any money refund but only rewards after rise all their tickets prices... disgusting. After I booked the fligth due to some unpredictable family issues I had to cancel it and asked for a refund but they never replied my email. So I contacted their chat support and a very arrogant agent didn't help me at all, refuse the refund and even told me ''yeah, we don't use email as first contact''when I told them that I contacted them by email and never got a reply... so why the hell do you put it shown there ''send a ticket to our email'' as possible customer service support? Disgusting, what a bunch of scammers.
PS when I even mentioned about leaving some reviews the agent arrogantly said that they do not care. (and you can see... as mostly all reviews are 1 stars)
Ask for a status on a due claim, and Norwegian will banish you back to the end of the queue!
Norwegian’s socalled Customer Service informed me by phone that - because I called them to ask when I will receive my long due claim from when they lost my luggage from Copenhagen to Stavanger - I am placed at the back of the claims queue just for asking for a status! In effect, this means they can get away with not paying what they owe me - because if I ask for a status, I am punished/banished to the back of the line - and if I don’t ask, nothing happens! Reminds me of Kafka!
My money is two months due - and not a word from Norwegian; no status, nothing. Embarrassing for my fellow Scandi country of Norway.

Was unable to fly in 2020 and was offered Cash Points which 'expire' before Dec 2023, however the flight I originally booked was a direct flight to Portugal but now only flights available are over 8 - 12 hour long, over priced and they don't even have a calendar to book past April 2024. Shambolic to think money I already SPENT expires to thin air and no viable flight options are available unless I want to do an overnight stop. And the price HIKES for luggage which wasn't an issue before . And when i went to their chat for help, Julija was very unhelpful and just kept saying there was nothing they could do and offered i give my cash points away if i 'had no travel plans' too us them. Very disappointing and will never be using them again. DONT OPT FOR CASH POINTS, get your money back and spend it on decent flights
What a bad experience
1:30 hours late going to and from Barcelona. No info, no explanation
Average....ok
We flew to Bergen using this airline. We know its a super short flight, obviously a smaller aircraft, but i was hoping for something at least welcoming.
On the flight out and return, the attendants never once cracked a smile.
The trolly must have hit me a dozen times back and forth all in. Thats me with elbows well tucked in
the staff were just utterly miserable.
The plane was clean enough, didnt feel especially premium in the cabin but you get what you pay for....maybe we paid too much huh.
For sheer convienience, we opted for this, but i think a BA flight, we might have got at least friendly eye contact.
So in essence, training of staff could be much much better
Hidden robbery in a collusion with agent BudgetAir
Norwegian air is involved in a horrible insidious hidden robbery in a collusion with an agent BudgetAir!
I booked a flight for Norwegian airlines through the agent BudgetAir. Later I decided to book 1 piece of checked in luggage. But the agent BudgetAir states that it’s impossible to add luggage through them, I should buy it through Norwegian airlines. Norwegian airlines states in the automatic message and a live chat that they have no access to the bookings made through the agents and can not add extra luggage to the booking.
Norwegian airlines in the chat let out that it’s done in order to push customer buying extra luggage in the airport for the triple price.
I am ready to rise this issue to a higher level, I have all the evidence available.
Stay away from both, it's better to choose any other company to fly with!
Norwegian Airlines
I enjoy flying for holidays or work, but some airlines are extremely bad. For the past couple of months, Norwegian Airways has been unable to get flights on time from Gatwick to Oslo! Maybe I’m the unluckiest person, or the airline doesn’t care about the passengers. In the end, we are just numbers or currency symbols (£, €, $) to the CEO, who reports on annual reviews to stakeholders, highlighting increased profits. However, the customer service is terrible. In addition, the trains Stop at 2am, if you wish to go home, you would need to pay over 1500 krone for a taxi, while a train ticket would cost only 360 krone. It seems like an inconvenient and costly situation for travelers. Unfortunately, passengers don’t have a choice because Norwegian Airways is the only airline operating flights from Gatwick to Oslo.
Lying, Late and Horrific
Boarded a flight with zero notification that it had arrived late and would be departing late. They boarded us, closed the doors, pulled away from the gate and told us we would be held on the plane for at least 1.5 hours because the inbound plane had been late and they missed their departure window.
I don’t even know how that’s legal. They’ve offered no water, no apology. They should have notified people the flight was late BEFORE we boarded so we could make other arrangements. Now if I want to do that I’d have to make a big stink.
Hope they get what they deserve.
Makes RyanAir seem premium
Sadly, Norwegian Airlines have decided that their business model is best aligned with RyanAir. Or below.
We were not expecting Business Class service but this was truly taking no-frills to a new level. Whether it's cramped seats, charging you for water, grumpy staff. Horrible booking process..
If Norwegian is ever the only flight somewhere, you are best advised to consider other modes of transport.
Zero customer service
I was overcharged for an in-flight purchase. I asked for a receipt but the flight attendant never gave me one, but simply walked away.
I have contacted their customer service multiple times but never receive any response.
This is just a minor issue, but if this is how they treat their customers, I am grateful I didn't have any major problems like lost luggage or a delayed or cancelled flight.
I hope I never fly Norwegian again.
A perfect experience
I had a wonderful experience flying Norwegian round-trip between London and Stockholm. Both flights were perfectly on time and pleasant, and the self check-in and bag drop were so convenient and fast. I was surprised to get a check-in bag and priority boarding for the very reasonable price I paid for the ticket. The flight back to London from Stockholm (2:30 PM on Monday May 8th 2023) was a particularly good experience. There was some unexpected turbulence and I told the flight attendant that I was scared of flying; she was so kind and checked up on me repeatedly, and told me next time I should let the flight crew know right away that I'm a nervous flier so they can look after me. All in all a wonderful experience with this airline and I would definitely fly with them again!

after a year I'm still waiting for a No-Show documentation (to be provided to the insurance company for refund), I've been asking for it several time without having any response at all. How difficult is to get a no-show document? Your customer service is null. You have been already contacted by my advocate, you will be chased until I don't receive the document, this is a shame

It was nobodys fault that COVID hit the world - it was the way Norwegian Airlines treated me a customer, that I will never use them again. Refused a refund after THEY cancelled THREE flights over a year and then credited me with "Cash Points" these are only good for one thing. Future NA flights. Their response to my letter of complaint, didn't even address that in any way. I hope they go bankrupt.
The most unreliable and untrustworthy company I have ever encountered
I booked tickets for me and my family to travel to Norway in December. I took out their sickness insurance that 'theoretically' allows you to ask for a full refund of your ticket if you or a close family member falls ill. This would have been the first trip we would have taken as a family, and we were looking forward to spending some time in the snow with our little toddler! Unfortunately, 3 days before our departure date I contracted covid. I was so pleased with myself for having the forethought to purchase their sickness insurance and thought it would be an easy process to claim back. The next day I contacted my GP and got a sickness certificate which I required in order to claim on the insurance. On the 8th of December, two days before our departure date, I logged into my booking, cancelled our flights and filled in the refund claims form for me and my family, uploading all the necessary documents, including the sickness certificate and a marriage certificate to prove that we were all related.
I got the automated acknowledgement that I have filled in a claim, but then nothing happened. I waited for a couple of weeks before contacting them asking when I should hear back. Of course, by that time10 days had lapsed since our 'departure' date. I had to wait for another couple of weeks just to receive an email from their customer service to say that I should have filled in my claim PRIOR to the departure date, and for this reason they could not issue me a refund. I replied copying in their automated acknowledgment email that proved that I had filled my claim TWO DAYS before the departure date. I never heard back from them. Despite all my attempts to communicate with them, they are not replying to my emails. This is the most unreliable, untrustworthy company I have EVER encountered! I will NEVER EVER use them again!
Cannot Recommend - Budget service without budget prices
Return flight from Oslo was a shambles, +2hr delay in the terminal, very chaotic boarding process caused by ground staff. Seats allocated in a way that makes you pay more or sit apart from family on same tickets. Don't bother with priority boarding...makes no difference when boarding. Our flight was due to be over 2hrs late but the crew made some time up and landed then decided to taxi at ridiculous speed to ensure it was 1hr59 late which obviously saves any compensation claims. Was it safe taxi speeds...no. I won't be using Norweigen again. Prices are not competitive either and its a very budget service.
