Requested a Luton van for a house move and firstly the delivery was delayed due to a "mechanical error" with the vehicle, so they said they would deliver the following day between 0800-1000
Recieved a call from the driver at 0950, stating he was 2 hours away. 3 hrs later he shows up in shabby looking dirty van. No fuel, broken indicator, filthy and no oil in.
Collection time and they are late again! Stuck on hold with the company for 45mins to get an update but nothing. Phone goes dead.
Honestly they would be out of business.
They will not give us our £500 deposit back. Despite numerous emails and even a promise the refund had been processed, we still haven't received. If a guy called Allen Iverson tells you it has been processed, do not believe him as he is lying and then ignores your emails. I can only assume they rely on people not chasing them to stay a float. I have today instigating legal proceedings. Avoid at all costs.

I am writing this to warn anyone considering renting from this company. We rented a van in June 2025, and as of February 2026, they still have not returned our £500 deposit.
What makes this situation truly disgraceful is that these funds belong to a charity for autistic children. We have contacted them multiple times over the last eight months, and they have provided nothing but excuses or total silence.
They are essentially withholding money that is meant to support vulnerable children. This is beyond unprofessional; it is unethical. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. If you value your money and want to avoid the stress of being scammed, go elsewhere. You have been warned.

I am posting this to warn other families and businesses. We hired a vehicle for a family trip to France and paid a £500 security deposit. The vehicle was returned in perfect condition.
The company failed to return the deposit within their stated 28-day window. When we chased them, we received an email from their support team (signed 'Allen Iverson') admitting that they are "unable to take any further direct action on the refund" and instructing us to force the money back via our bank.
A company that advises its own customers to initiate chargebacks because it cannot process refunds voluntarily is a serious financial risk. Do not hand over a deposit unless you are prepared to fight your bank to get it back. Check their Trustpilot reviews (16+ pending judgments mentioned) before you pay.
We are currently pursuing recovery via the banking system.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS – SERIOUS SAFETY AND DEPOSIT CONCERNS
Based on my experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this rental company.
I experienced ongoing and unresolved issues with the return of my deposit. I was first told it could take up to 28 days. After that, the company claimed there had been a failed banking transaction. My bank confirmed that no failed transaction had occurred. When I raised this, I was told there was nothing more they could do and that I should contact my bank to request a chargeback. This sequence of excuses is deeply concerning.
The vehicle I was provided was, in my opinion, not roadworthy. It had extremely poor braking performance, tyres with insufficient air, and no engine oil. These are serious safety issues, not minor defects or normal wear and tear. The van had approximately 92,000 miles and showed clear signs of poor maintenance. I believe renting out a vehicle in this condition puts customers at real risk of injury.
Customer service was also extremely poor. The customer service phone number was consistently engaged, making it very difficult to get assistance when problems arose.
In my view, there is a high risk of losing your deposit or being charged for damage you did not cause. I have since seen many other reviews from customers reporting delayed or missing deposits, which suggests my experience is not isolated.
For safety and financial reasons, I would strongly advise choosing a different rental company.
Very disappointing experience regarding the security deposit. After returning the car on 2 January, the deposit was not refunded.
Customer service confirmed in writing they could not assist further due to their “automated system” and told me to pursue a chargeback with my bank.
This should not be the customer’s responsibility. I would strongly advise future renters to be cautious and document everything.

I booked a XLWB Luton van on 5th January. They debited £970 from my account. Emailed to say they had an issue with payment and had cancelled my booking and I would receive a full refund!! 21 days later...no refund...no answering the phones...no response to emails...Now in the hands of my bank to resolve
I am still waiting (and I won't get) my £2750 deposit back from last August (2025) against a fairly shabby mini bus - AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS - I am in small court arena trying to get my money but sadly their registered address doesn't exist! Absolutely appalling. Don’t go near them. We hired a van for Friday evening so we could move our friends to London. An hour before the van was due to be delivered they called and said they couldn’t deliver it until between 1-3 pm the following day. We reluctantly agreed. At 4pm the van had still not arrived, no call from them, offices closed and no way to contact them. We had ni messages, texts or phone calls. We cancelled the van. Now let’s see if we get a refund. They are totally unreliable

We are a small Scout group, and hire 2 minibuses end of July 25. Since then we have been trying to get our £2k deposit back. We are disputing a cleaning charge, and unfortunately a rear window broke when sliding door closed on the other bus, but we cannot talk to anyone. Phone goes dead after 40 mins, emails are ignored. Have been emailing and calling since mid August (4 months). Steer clear !!!!

Van booked for 9.30am, turned up at 12.30pm. Could not contact anyone, no communication from them.
When we needed to leave they hadn't collected the van at the arranged time, we waited 3 hours and tried making contact by online form, email and phone to no avail. We had a 4 hour drive home and had to leave the van at the house we'd moved out of, in a private bay, and leave the keys with someone nearby! They turned up two days later! Took a security deposit that hasn't been returned after four weeks. I've put hours and hours of time into trying to make contact/get my deposit back with no luck
Horrendous people. Stay clear! Hired a van back in 2023, they are now chasing me for a supposed chip in windscreen for £780! threatening to take me to court. Interested to know if they have taken others to court for "supposed" damages to vans etc....even though I understand they don't even own most of the vans they hire out anyway!
Very frustrating, I have phoned and emailed so many times to get my Deposit refund, it has been since the 3rd of September. When they do answer the phone after a very long wait, i am told that this has been esculated ? It has now been 4 months. I have had only one reply to my many emails. Please do not use this company.

The company despite various reminders and chasers hasn't returned the security deposit. I understand they dont take deposits anymore but it's the unprofessionalism which is reflected snd would show in other dealings too
