Extremely Disappointing Experience with NZ Sale – Zero Trust!
I recently made the mistake of purchasing a perfume from NZ Sale. The same day I placed the order, they cancelled it, which I thought would result in no charge, especially since I paid through Afterpay. However, I was shocked to find out that I was still charged 3 payments by Afterpay, and to make matters worse.
I’ve been trying to get in touch with Afterpay, but they’ve been unhelpful in stopping the payment. I raised the issue with NZ Sale four days ago and received an automated response saying "oops, sorry," but there has been no actual follow-up or resolution from their side. It’s extremely frustrating to deal with a company that takes your money without providing any service or support.
This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with them. In the past, they’ve cancelled orders without explanation, and I’m honestly starting to feel like their business practices are dodgy at best. I also bought a pair of Birkenstocks from them, They were advertised as leather, but what I received was nothing like that. For what I paid, it’s unacceptable.
I will never buy from NZ Sale again, and I strongly advise others to stay away. They are dishonest and unreliable. Save yourself the trouble!
Beware of where product is being shipped from - postage costs more than product!
At no stage made aware one order would be split for shipping, never mind that it would be shipped from Australia. Postage from Australia x 2 ended up costing more than the product ordered. After waiting a while and following up on where product was, amazingly enough next day shipped from Australia.
Expensive experience shopping at NZ Sale - not worth it.

Item long over due
I ordered a beauty serum about 2 weeks ago that is way over due. The tracking button says the tracking is not available for this item. The website says we are having a busy period so thanks for your understanding! No other response received. DO NOT TRUST NZSALE They still have not refunded me for an item I purchased but they couldn't locate. Was told I'd be refunded in 5-10 business days and that was on 3rd July 2025. Everytime I email or message on the app just get the same story of they will follow up with the finance team even though they had told me it was in the process of being refunded. DO BETTER, STOP RIPPING CUSTOMERS OFF, WHERES MY REFUND

Ridiculous and expensive shipping fees, Australian company yet it takes 3 weeks for orders to arrive but shein only takes 1-2wks 🤦♀️
A 50ml perfume for $120 and the shipping is $60 ... It would also be nice to remove/get rid of SOLD ITEM instead of us having to scroll through a whole bunch of them
Don't get me started on their confusing size guide 🤦♀️ X1 is either 20 or 22 and X2 is either 22 or 24, so bloody annoying because the item might just fit or too big 🤬 then you don't wanna go through the hassle of returning item or settle for a voucher so you can buy something YOU DONT WANT!!

The cost is huge to return an incorrectly supplied item item
I ordered some shoes for my husband which when we received them didn't look as per the picture and were also too big. I applied to return them and this was accepted only to find that I had to pay to return them and I had to ship them back to the United States at my cost. This is the end for me of purchasing from NZ Sale. It simply isn't worth it.

Delivery's are hit and miss
Delivery's are hit and miss. My package has landed in NZ and gone nowhere for 13 days. It's now outside the delivery time frame and NZ sale say, wait 6 weeks from order date then well talk about it. Won't even look into it for 6 weeks.
Its been 24 days since order date, they are shit to deal with.
This is the 2nd order in a row I'm not happy about. The first order the shoe sizing was 4 sizes out, completely faulty had to get a refund, the process isn't great and everything takes bloody ages. Don't waste your time, unless you don't need the item for at least a month..

I bought a mascara worth $53 and it arrive faulty. I have left a message on the app as there is no email address or phone number for support. I left the message in april, sent another one in May and now is June 2025. They have non-existent customer support.

Where’s my package
I ordered a perfume on the 4th of may, it is now the 22nd and I still have no update on it. I have been told it’s in transit but have not been sent a tracking number even after asking 3 times for it. It said it would be here between the 14th-19th. I will not be purchasing from here again. I’ve also requested a refund and they’ve said they can’t issue one as it’s “in transit” if i could locate my parcel then I wouldn’t feel the need to request a refund

Finally received some response from them saying if I had received any contact from the customs. Why would I get a contact from them when its far lesser than the limit. 200 dollars spent. Two of the shirts are still at airport for 5 days. And one they say they would refund which been advised 48 hours, about approx 2. Hours left and have not received anything.

borders on scam site
When I tried to place my order the website said it had an issue so the order did not appear to go through. So as instructed I tried again at another time. Then both orders were confirmed - so I ended up with an unwanted order copy. I reached out to them and they replied from a no-reply email with a login link to read their communication but every time I have attempted to log in on the link provided it has not worked. They have a very dodgy website and unethical way of communicating. You are far better off to look to another place for your purchases.

I was worried at first after reading…
I was worried at first after reading some of the comments regarding their experience with NZSale (delays, poor customer service). I initially thought I was going to experience the same when I noticed the estimated dispatch date kept getting moved, so I messaged them and asked for an update. Within 48hrs I got a response, one of the items in my order got cancelled, and my order got dispatched. I received my order today and couldn't be happier with the items I got and the prices I paid for them when they went on a huge sale.
