Since moving from Iberdrola, we have had an excellent experience with Octopus. They have great prices, fast replies to our queries. We are relatively new to Spanish electricity procedures. Cannot get hold of customer services with the phone number for English speaking customers over charged for gas that I haven’t used no facility to upload meter readings estimated meter reading way out.

My experience with Octopus Energy Spain regarding a solar installation was very disappointing. They did not have the technical knowledge to install panels at my property, which left me paying licence costs even though the project didn’t go ahead.

I was also promised a referral fee in writing, but it was never paid. Overall, the process felt poorly handled and unprofessional. I’d recommend confirming technical feasibility and payment commitments very clearly before proceeding. ⚠️☀️
I have sent a formal request to Octopus to look into the situation further. I will provide updates in the hope that it helps others.

Solar panel installation is absolutely atrocious!! Do not use this company. Their workman installed the panels, put the inverter so far away from the router that the WiFi dongle barely reaches it. I tried to highlight this but their English wasn't great and neither is my Spanish so the guy connected to the very weak WiFi and then told us to download the app and showed us how to log in. Since then we've had huge amounts of problems, the system keeps overloading and failing this is the third week now of this happening. The WiFi dongle has just stopped working, it won't connect to the internet and we've tried everything. My opinion is the installation was incredibly poor, the guys couldn't be bothered to connect using an ethernet cable which would solve this matter instead we're left with a system costing us €6500 and it's not fit for purpose. We will be taking legal advice and asking for a refund and to remove the system if they don't fix all the issues. I'll also be writing to the CEO of octopus. Don't use octopus energy solar installation!!! ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️
