Very happy with their support

Very happy with their support. Signed the contract in Spain, but my Spanish is not good enough to discuss energy contract details by phone. Talked with Adelaida in English (her English was better than mine), she was very clear about the contract details and the contract itself went into effect in 3 or 4 days. No problems since, good app, invoices match consumption and billing is easy to understand. Would definitely recommend!

My experience with Octopus Energy

My experience with Octopus Energy has been excellent. David A. was incredibly helpful in adjusting my contracted power to better match my actual usage. He was professional, easy to communicate with, and always responded quickly to my emails.

Thanks to his support, I was able to correct an issue that had been costing me money for years. I had been overpaying my electricity bills due to having a higher contracted power than necessary, and I truly appreciate how smoothly and efficiently everything was resolved.

Overall, a very positive experience and great customer service.

Octopus energy solar - not worth it for anyone with a flat tiled roof

Octopus energy solar.
1 The initial contact was a hard sell, couldn't get us on contract for solar energy fast enough. Didn't ask a single question about whether our cortijo was viable for panels. We were clear about its position and the flat roof being tiled.
2. As soon as contract was done we had individual and different requests for documentation, rather than one request for all documentation .And I mean four of five times.
3. My husband speaks excellent Spanish, without that this would have been impossible.
4. Once the contract was signed and paid for all contact surprisingly ceased.
5. After repeated attempts a site inspection ( by videophone and in Spanish,) was arranged. We were told all was good. They now had all of our financial information, an initial payment, the cadastral, our address and a video of our home.
6. A day later they told us installation was not possible. The reason. We had a tiled flat roof, a fact we mentioned from the start and throughout.
7. A tiled roof has several easy solutions none of which they would consider.
8. Its very clear that this company only accepts easy and profitable solar installations. Thats fine, what isnt is properly informed sellers who dont waste our time and money after being given the all the information needed to stop things at that point. Customer service was appalling, apart from someone called Fabian, right at the end - who was both clear and apologetic.
9. Basically, really dont bother with their solar installation plan unless you have an entitely standard residence.
10. We've used Octopus Energy in the UK for years. Not any longer.

Octopus energy can cancel your contract at any moment despite correct payments

After several months of active contract and no issues with the payments of the invoices, they stopped my contract and reverted it back to my previous provider. Customer service could not solve it.

Great Experience opening a new Account

Right from the start I was able to download the Octopus App and with the immediate assistance from Customer Advisor Enrique I opened my account , which I also received a 50 Euro reward for a referral for my brother in law who also opened an account with the invaluable assistance from Enrique.His Engish was perfect, he explained everything in great detail and with seamless effort I now have discounted electricity for my Apartment in Benalmadena, with the added bonus of being informed of the new rates for the following year one month before the end of my yearly contract with Octopus.Other Companies like my previous one Endesa simply increase your new yearly rate to exhorbent prices without notification. I am more than happy with my new Octopus Energy account, thank you. Regards Reggie Marks

Solar installation

The solar panel installation from sales to the actual installation itself was perfect. The stat have kept me informed at every stage. I was surprised how quick the installation tool after signing up for solar power. I'm now looking forward to €0 bills

Flawless switch

Online sign up had a slight hiccup so contacted customer service. Long wait, so offer to call back within 24hrs accepted, and honoured. Didn't need it though as fixed problem myself.
1st bill arrived yesterday, and it's less than 2 thirds of my previous suppliers bill last month, so very pleased about that.

Lucia was so helpful and explained everything to me and set up the new account with Octopus. Lucia spoke perfect English which helped me immensely. I would certainly recommend Octopus and particularly Lucia to my English speaking friends.

I was recommended by a friend and Enrique got in touch with me very quickly. The whole process was easy, Octopus sought out everything. Enrique was very polite and very helpful. I would recommend.

Meter change debacle

I have now waited in for four whole days to have my meter changed at their request. They have failed to show up on any occasion. Their customer service is appalling and I am at a loss to understand how they can get away with this.
