We got a brand new Jaecoo as a lease…

We got a brand new Jaecoo as a lease vehicle in March 2025, the app was not working which did not allow full functionality so we took it back to Omoda Northampton. The car remained with them for approximately 6 weeks. Despite daily telephone calls, emails and visits to site - no one was able to help us at all so in the end we 'returned' the car as 'not fit for purpose' and got a refund.
We then got another new Jaecoo in May which my husband drove happily for 3 weeks before having an unfortunate prang in a car park. The repairs are being dealt with by insurance and the car was taken to a local garage for repair. This was on 4th June, we have been waiting 20 weeks (approaching 5 months) for the spare parts to be delivered. The car needs a replacement bumper and headlight. Apparently Jaecoo is not able to get these we are told 'because they come from China and there is high demand for this part'. This explanation is nonsensical. We are continually emailing and phoning but to no avail. The whole situation is entirely hopeless, we are paying a lot of money for a Jaecoo and driving round in a little hire car instead. I am not sure if I will see the car again before the 3 year lease is up! Never buy a Jaecoo!

The recent advert shows a dog

The recent advert shows a dog, travelling on the back seat. I don't believe that the dog is secured, as is required by law. If advertisers don't obey the uk laws, why would the prospective customers? The advert should be banned until the problem is put right.

Considering buying an omoda? Don’t go to endeavour Watford or any of their other branches. You’d have to be mad.

Following posting the below review on google last week, I spoke to Omoda head office and sent them a copy. They promised to investigate and take this matter seriously. They apparently contacted the dealer but I want answers from Omoda head office about the issues I have raised with the car.

I was told to go to the the Endeavour Omoda showroom in Watford where I bought the car today following a call from Saeed last week. He told me he would arrange a loan car and repairs.

I went today and guess what? They knew nothing about it!!!

So after an hour in the showroom I spoke to Omoda head office who have arranged a loan car and the garage are supposed to be fixing the issues. Let’s see how they fair. I have lost all hope and faith.

Check out my review of endeavour Omoda Watford on google.

Zero Stars

Attended a VIP event at allotted time
Was told to take a seat and ignored for 20 minutes
Finally a salesman approached me, told him I was here for a test drive of a specific model as pre arranged, only to be told it wasn’t available in the uk until end of the following month 🤷🏻‍♂️
Thought been as I’m here, may aswell take a test drive in a different model

After test drive I was tempted to buy on the spot, told them I’d likely do a part ex on my current car, kept asking how much I wanted for it, I knew what the market value was, but said make me an offer, went away and came back with a ridiculous offer of 25% of what it was worth !!!!

Needless to say, they’d just lost a sale
Was told there would be a yearly car wash voucher being sent to me
Received nothing and despite several emails, and a month later, nothing

Have since heard others that didn’t receive one either, nor did someone who was promised a £500 gift card for purchasing a vehicle, but never received it !

Having read reviews of issues and faults with their vehicles, seems I had a lucky escape

Hartwell Abingdon - Jaecoo

My experience with Hartwell Jaecoo in Abingdon was overall positive, though there were a few ups and downs along the way.

At the start of the process, Josh, the showroom manager, was fantastic. He really went above and beyond to ensure I got a good deal on my car, and I felt confident and well taken care of. However, after the purchase, things started to slip a bit when it came to communication about the delivery and timing of the car handover.

Once Krzys took over my case for the handover, my experience completely turned around. Krzys was a real professional – he always got back to me promptly, even when he was busy, and his communication was excellent throughout. From confirming the handover details the day before to making sure everything went smoothly on the day itself, he made the process stress-free and efficient. I really appreciated how he kept me in the loop, and his customer service was top-notch.

In summary, I’d definitely recommend Hartwell Jaecoo, especially if you're dealing with Krzys, who made the experience so much better. I would have given a 5-star rating if it weren't for the initial lack of communication post-purchase.

Omoda Jaecoo Sheffield - Poor Customer Service

Booked for test drive, but when attended they said cannot do test drive as I intend to buy through salary sacrifice, as it would not benefit the dealership in terms of business.
If that was case, why did Jaecoo book in first place.
Manager attitude was very selfish.
This give impression of quality of post sale service as well - I have to keep in mind in case I buy Jaecoo...

Omoda Jaecoo Preston Review

Omoda Jaecoo Preston Review

I recently dealt with Martin McGrath at Jaecoo and wanted to highlight the excellent service I received. Even though we may not have been able to reach a deal, Martin’s professionalism, calm approach, and excellent interpersonal skills made the whole experience a real pleasure. He took the time to listen, was clear and transparent throughout, and showed genuine care in his approach. A credit to the dealership and someone I would happily recommend to others.

**Review of Omada Bolton Dealership**

**Review of Omada Bolton Dealership**

I recently had a deeply disappointing experience with Omada Bolton dealership. After purchasing a vehicle that turned out to be faulty, I've faced ongoing issues that have not been resolved despite multiple visits from their team. Initially, they came to my house twice, suggesting that the problem might be related to the charger. However, it became clear that the fault lies within the vehicle itself.

Under the Consumer Rights Act, I’m entitled to return the vehicle, especially since I logged my complaint within 30 days of purchase. Unfortunately, the dealership has been uncooperative in this matter. I reached out to the manager, Gary, at the Bolton branch, but my interaction with him was nothing short of frustrating. He was rude, abrupt, and aggressive, which only added to my distress.

I’ve also contacted the finance company, as I know my rights and am waiting for a response from them. The entire situation has caused significant inconvenience and stress in my life. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Omada Bolton dealership to anyone looking for a reliable vehicle or customer service.

Unprofessional, unresponsive, and deeply disappointing – Northampton showroom

• Avoid – car purchase turned into a stressful ordeal
• Broken promises and zero customer service
• Frustrating experience – would not recommend
• Appalling service – avoid at all costs
• Untrustworthy and unprofessional
• Sales team that simply can’t be bothered to even answer calls and emails.

Very poor experience at the Northampton showroom. Calls and emails were ignored, the agreed price was later changed, and even paying a deposit was made difficult. I eventually had to cancel the purchase and request a refund, which was also mishandled. Unprofessional and very disappointing from start to finish.
Went elsewhere and purchased a new different model vehicle.

Endeavour Omoda & Jaecoo Watford..

Endeavour Omoda & Jaecoo Watford... Where do i start, i have made a conscious effort to withhold my comments giving them an opportunity to fix, but no surprise 3 months on still nothing .. 1. Not not use this dealership unprofessional would be an understatement, Dear Customer Service,
I write regarding my very new purchase of my Jaecoo7 deluxe from your watford branch

My disappointment started with the lack of responses despite many calls and uncountable Whatsapp messages (15) starting on the 4th April 25, two visits to garage one to value my car. I finally got a test drive on 19th May 25.
My Car had previously been valued at sight unseen £8k straight from the book by sales , however on the second visit with the car it was noted that it was in excellent A1 condition and likely to reach a little more than 8k ..

The test drive went well and my decision to buy was within the hour.

The paperwork started as did the part exchange process turning in to a unprofessional situation, being told that my car had £15k outstanding and a discrepancy with the mileage, neither of which were correct and could not be explained, having contacted my last dealer from the showroom to confirm i purchased the car cash and that the mileage matched the MOTs with no irregularities, yet the sales team went on to say they could do nothing offer 5.5 for my car..

Part of my deal included ceramic coating that was sold to me as a different cost to that applied to the original email as was the three year service plan see below example. Notwithstanding the cost of the Ceramic coat, having had the car for two days it was very clear that the coating had not been applied to either the inside or externally.. I have had 4 Grand Cherokees all with Williams ceramics coating. I am well aware of its capabilities and the way it works, I had not been given my warranty certification and Gardex did not have the registration.

I made a call to Gardex directly and discussed with them the obvious issues. They agreed that the ceramic coating and the issues would suggest it had not been applied , on challenging the dealership they made no real case nor did they make any challenge and said they would take it back in and do coating, this suggests it was not undertaken in the first instance.

three documents as part of finance . Not only were these not discussed with me specifically the Disclosure , but the customer Signature is not mine ( Fraudulent ) nor were they a close attempt. Subsequently I had to have this issue raised with the salesman, notifying him of the significance of the action, then dealing and signing them when I picked up the courtesy car. this is something I still need to discuss with the finance company and FCA.

Day three the car developed an issue with Alarm, the locking processes being somewhat erratic and the horn continually sounding even when driving. a call to the dealer was of little use saying they could not have it in until the following week .. When the alarm sounded the only way to silence was to disconnect the battery. Looking on Various forums it appeared to be a software issue and something that needed to be dealt with by the dealer.

Car was finally booked on Monday 2nd for the following items
1. Radio not working
2. Alarm issue
3. Scratch on driver screen ( pictures available)
4. Application of Ceramic Coat ( pictures available)
5. Unfinished carpet in drivers footwell ( pictures available)

I have been chasing all last week including Saturday with no update. I chased again this morning and left a message, final had a call at 15.50 today to say I can pick up my car but it is not finished ?? My Response was obvious. Why would I want it back if it's not completed, the response was the Radio update was to be ordered, the carpet had been forgotten and the screen had not been replaced because it needs the service managers sign off, they could not find an issue with the Alarm , but undertook a reboot anyway ..

its goes on , when it was returned for the radio it came back with a scratch on the rear quarter, after discussions on site with manager agreed to fix .. three months later 6 emails to customers services , another joke, two emails to Cherry in China no response, one email to area director no response the only thing completed is ceramic coating , two phone calls last week from Customers services call 1.. 3 seconds call 2 the same , then an email to say they tried to call but i did not respond .. answered email within 1 minute of the call and as yest still no response ... To be fare the car is OK but STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER

6 month old Jaecoo returned,

My husband’s 6 month old Jaecoo has just been returned. From day one his experience has been nothing short of appalling. His vehicle was beset with soft wear issues that Jaecoo knew about but had no resolutions for, including not being able to listen to the radio amongst many more glitches.
He wrote to Jaecoo numerous times as the dealership was getting nowhere and they ignored every single email.
We got in touch with the finance company and they kindly intervened out his behalf. To cut a long story short, they got nowhere as well and gave him the option to terminate the contract, with no penalties, which he did and the car was picked up and returned. This is unusual but very much appreciated.
Whilst the vehicle maybe cheap, it’s worked out more expensive. A new car with a fresh deposit has had to be found as he only will receive a partial refund back.Stay clear of the Jaecoo as in his opinion and experience it’s not fit for purpose until they can sort out the softwear problems, and the customer service is none existent. They just ignore you.

From the start of looking for a car

From the start of looking for a car, I was advised of Omoda so I found a local store in Bury. The salesman was lovely, really helpful. They even got me the car from China in 2 weeks, which I thought was rather good. They topped off the sale with free tax for a year, Omoda mats and £500 gift card.

So my deposit was paid and I got the ball rolling. The salesman had to take time off work for family reasons. So that’s where it all starting go down hill. It came to the 2 weeks so I requested an update once, twice, three times, I actually lost count how many times I called and I was told the manager would call me back but he never did. Eventually another salesman informed me that my car was arriving.

I collected my car and the original salesman was back and again he was lovely, really helpful. I was told the car was taxed and the £500 gift card would be with me in a couple of weeks. This didn't arrived after the 2 weeks and was later informed I had to apply for the gift card, so I gone to do this but the deal had finished. So I spoke with the salesman and he was on holiday so advised to speak with the manager. He replied to my first email but after that I heard nothing and now not replying to my emails. So the gift card was a con to get me to buy the car. I will never shop here or even recommend this brand ever again.

Avoid purchasing a Omoda c5

The customer service set up for OMODA in the UK is absolutely shocking. Here is a perfect example. Contact the service centre, any of them and you'll find out that even peoples-omoda garages cannot perform a wheel alignment. In Scotland Falkirk the omoda repair centre, zero alignment, the kwikfit among many other service centres in the area, no settings available to perform a wheel alignment. Customer service complaints then emailed me a list of places to "try" around Scotland and no one can do it.

I purchased my vehicle cash. Delivered to the local Edinburgh Omoda garage with scratches, deep ones on the front of a car with less then 20miles. Then the People omoda sales agent setup my service plan Incorrectly and I almost lost my manufacturer's warranty if I didn't pick up the mistake so they are forced to provide me with my first service free! Honestly customer service is non existent and I can't even wheel alignment or do tracking on my car. Have had to contact a specialist for £70 on a new car! Absolutely shocking. This is one of the big reasons people will go get another known brand. If I were you I would do the same and avoid all the drama! Go join a group on FB and they will provide you with the same issues I've experienced Including that NO ONE can get the dab radio to work in the car, they all stop working then come back and the signal is terrible. The start button works sometimes and just clicks over. These are not my issues, feel free to go to omoda chats and this is a universal every single vehicle issue. New vehicle and the cheap paintwork will leave scratches after the first wash. Don't believe me, phone omoda right now and ask for a wheel alignment or go on a forum and mention the radio or steering or paint. Avoid buying this vehicle. I bought it cash and all I've had was problems and almost lost my warranty if I didn't call and sort out the way the company set up my service plan Day one to day 60 I'm miserable with my purchase. My Vehicle is now on car wow and I'm looking to purchase a better brand. Also I paid 22k vehicle now has 900 miles and I can only get 18k for it and its super new and clean inside and out so depreciation is insane! Don't waste your money on a OMODA C5. Go buy something else..

Great customer service with a quality brand

We heard some good reports of the Jaecoo and level of service at Jaecoo Wellington, we were not disappointed, a young man called Riley was excellent, answered all of our questions, arranged the test drive and along with his sales manager even acquired the colour that we wanted, will certainly recommend them for the quality of vehicle and customer service. Thank you

Excellent, From walking in to see the Omoda 5 and choosing my vehicle and to picking it up, was a very pleasant experience, all staff were very very helpful especially Aatif Hussain, who was my direct point of call, he truly made the experience a smooth one and got me in my vehicle promptly and offered any help if I had any problems or anything I wanted to know about the car.
