SCAM, SCAM & SCAM. Paid over 90 to this "company" for a two weeks intensive package. All they did was Google a near-by instructor (that was not affliated with the company in anyway) and book me a theory test with one weeks notice (I had never has any lessons or expirence, yet they expect me to just pass the exam).

Through some miracle I passed the exam (they offered no learning resources or assistance in any way). Although I feel I learnt how to regurgitate answers to questions, rather than actually become knowledgeable in driving theory.

The instructor they "provided" called herself Sandy and was based in the West Midlands. She only turned up to few of the lessons and was late for them all. She wasn't a particularly good instructor, her instructions were very unclear and she wasn't very patient with beginner drivers. From conversation we had, it seemed like teaching driving was just a supplementary form of income for her household. I paid over £900 for lessons from her and she ghosted me and never sent me a refund for the lessons she failed to attend.

Of course none of that was of any concern to this "company" as she "wasn't one of their drivers".

I have lost all confidence in learning to drive, as well as a substantial amount of money to these scammers.

Absolutely shocking from the start.

Absolutely shocking from the start.
I booked & paid £567.99 for 20 hours of lessons (extra £400 to instructor) + Theory & Practical test for my son on the 13.10.20, as we hadn’t heard anything by 21.10.20 I emailed and asked for a refund which they refused as they had allegedly allocated an instructor even though we hadn’t been contacted by anyone. They said they would chase up the instructor for us. We then chased again on the 24.10.20 only to be told that they where sorry and would we like them to allocate another instructor. They allocated us someone called John who called us on the 26.10.20 and we booked a lesson for Friday 05.11.20 at 1:30pm. We knew lockdown had been announced but was unsure on the rules with driving lessons and as we didn’t get a call from anyone cancelling the lesson we presumed the lesson would be going ahead. We text John at 11:30am on the 5.11.20 to check only to get a laughing reply stating that “we are in lockdown you know”. We then asked John if we could rebook lessons for when lockdown ended only to be told that he had passed us back to National Intensive as he was retiring. We once again emailed National Intensive explaining being let down again and once again asking for a refund, again they have refused.

The whole experience has been so disappointing, I will be contacting every company I can to make a complaint about this situation including the DVSA, Watchdog, trading standards and anyone else that will listen as they can’t operate and run a business that constantly rips people off! If you look at their google reviews (Funny but just noticed their Google account has been closed, 13.11.20) its not just us that they have treated this way!
I have a full written time line, text messages and email conversation to prove this is correct & true.
Small claims court here I come.

Hello Paul

Whilst we totally appreciate how frustrating everything can be at present , the fact the lessons did not go ahead was due to the lockdown. We understand that you have advised the instructor says he is retiring so will not be able to cover in December and of course we would get a new instructor in place if that is the case, he has not informed us of his retirement as yet.Under the terms and conditions it does state that if restrictions are put in place the courses will be postponed and you will not lose your deposit, this delay is beyond our control. A new ADI would be appointed for Callum to continue. We assume you are now mentioning going to the small claims court as the bank have not upheld your claim that the deposit payment to National Intensive was fraudulent and that the cardholder had not made the transaction. They called us to confirm this? May I just remind you that you have confirmed you read and signed the terms and conditions that cover us should a course not go ahead due to local or National restrictions as mentioned above and we will happily provide these documents if you are to take it further. However, we are hoping that you will give us the opportunity to allocate another instructor so that callum can complete his course

Scam!!

I paid this company over a grand for a ONE WEEK COURSE with my test at the end. I paid on a Monday, was given a date for my theory for the following Monday - this was a positive however this was due to a new testing centre and very short waiting lists, not the company. Following this, I was given an instructor - who should have been giving me 2 hour lessons Monday through Friday and then my test. Instead, this instructor booked me in for 1 hour lesson a week despite what was said, he was rude and shouted at me and knocked my confidence completely. After 2 MONTHS I booked my own test and had some lessons with another instructor in order to use their car for a test. I paid over a grand for absolutely nothing but 1 hour of shouting and impatience every week for two months. Also I had already had lessons to begin with however I wanted to do the course quickly as described - so I was not a brand new driver and there was no need for the rudeness.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Paid the 299 GBP admin fee on Oct 9th and didn't hear from them for four weeks, during which I repeatedly emailed them. I asked for a refund on the 6th November, after which they promptly replied saying they'd found me an instructor. I pressed for a refund as I'd already organised training with a different provider, and received no reply.

Never received a refund, or the service I paid for.

Hello there
We have searched the name but cannot find anything for you? As we cannot view the file it is difficult to comment, what we can say however is that if a refund was eligible then we would have made it therefore we assume that under the terms and conditions that you were not entitled to a refund. If you would like us to look into this further please provide the course reference. if the course was last November we are unsure why you are only posting this now.

This is a SCAM

These scammera have now changed their name to National intensive limited
Doing the exact same as before! Why is this company on "trust" pilot?
Took my partners deposit and can't provide the course int he time stated in the contract of services. Customer service is non existent with a manager more used to selling sofas on Facebook and thinks she can deal with customers like some sort of for sale or swap site.
As stated on their website they "have" instructors, they do not have any instructors, they simply ring one up and sell him your course, it's an agency plain and simple. Shambles DO NOT USE

Hi Cain,

We are not a scan, we are very open about the fact we have rebranded our company last year and this was not done for the claims you have mentioned.

You had a course booked with us as well and you are entitled to a refund which is currently in the process of going through. Your partner was not entitled as discussed with him directly.

We do have over 1000 registered instructors with our company so again, your claims are incorrect.

I appreciate you are not happy that your partner is not entitled to a refund and that is what is causing you to make these false claims regarding our company but we are very fair and allow refunds when entitled as we have with yourself.

If we were a scam, we would not be refunding your course as agreed.

You called my office staff threatening to come to the office, threatening to go to the director's house for the refund. Please refrain from calling the office and threatening my staff again.

Thank you.

Wasted money on a terrible instructor

I paid a lot of money for the six week semi intensive course, I wasted over a grand with a truly terrible instructor who was visibly uncomfortable with my homosexuality, very angry and quite frankly a poor teacher. I failed my first test after this course and passed on my third go with a completely different company and driving school which was much much better, Blake’s Driving School with Kam. Don’t bother with these courses, you’re just throwing money down the drain, go to a reputable driving instructor even if it takes you longer to learn, you’ll thank yourself when you pass with a good instructor

Hello,

I am sorry you feel that way, this is not the behaviour that we would expect of any of the instructors that complete our courses.

I am unable to find any details with the name provided for the review so I am unsure if you reported this to us or not or in fact if it was us that you booked with?

If you want to email us regarding this, you can do so on the following email - owdoffice@gmail.com.

NICK JACKSON TOTAL CON MAN!

NICK JACKSON TOTAL CON MAN!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR THIS MAN!
He tried the same tactics with me and took a large amount of money from me ,didn't turn up to appointments ,was aggressive, rude and arrogant.
I had to constantly ring and threaten with contacting the Police and dvsa involvement. I got most of my money back after weeks of pestering and making it clear I was not going to let it go. Feel free to contact me for any further info.

Paid through the nose for this course…

Paid through the nose for this course only to be given lessons by a man with a citroen c3 with the check engine light constantly on (illegal) we didn't get on at all and when i asked to change instructor was flat out refused. This course costs a lot of money and i needed my liscence for my child, avoid at all costs!!! I have not had a lesson since due to my confidence behind the wheel now being non existent. I also had a coworker do the same course with the same instructor who also failed because of the incompetence.

I would strongly warn anyone…

I would strongly warn anyone considering booking with this company to be aware that they are simply an agency and will not take any responsibility for the actions (or otherwise) of their driving instructors.
Their model is fundamentally flawed as the terms and conditions insist that the driving instructor is paid in full up front. This leaves the customer utterly exposed if the said driving instructor then fails to deliver the lessons - or as in my case delays, stalls, makes endless creative excuses for cancelling and then finally fails to turn up for my test!! OneWeekIntesiveDriving.com said they were powerless to resolve this matter and I must deal directly with the instructor to resolve the issues - or personally pursue him through the courts. They have refunded me my deposit but the whole episode has dragged on and has taken far longer than even a normal driving course would have. My 'Intensive course' started in Sept 18 and I finally accepted it was a lost cause this July 19. My perseverance at least meant I received 32 of the 40 lessons that I had paid for - although it is only now with a new instructor that I realise how low the quality of tuition was.
It is clear that the operating processes and complaints procedure of OneWeekIntensiveDriving.com are simply not fit for purpose.
Don't believe their marketing and don't gamble your money with this company.

Valentina was an excellent instructor

Valentina was an excellent instructor. After doing a 20 hour intensive course I felt confident and ready to take my test and was successful in the process at the first time of asking. I put down to valentinas excellent teaching skills and patience. I highly recommend future learners to go through Valentina.

Availability is a lie

Confirmed start date and then a week before hadn't found a driving instructor said I had to wait until the day before the start date to see if I could get a refund. This left me with no chance of getting a driving instructor when I needed one. The claimed it was all fine as they stipulate provisional date, if you can't do the date don't have an "availability" checker that shows it as available.

Taken advantage of

I really wish I had read the reviews but I assumed using an agency would take the stress away and would ensure that the driving instructors would be of a high quality.

What I ended up with was a series of emails that coerced me into accepting an instructor a week after my original start start date and an hour's commute from my house with no guarantee that they would pay for my travel costs.

Upon meeting my instructor I learnt my driving course was not intensive as she was only available to teach me for a couple of hours at a time on twice a week. This meant I was unable to complete my course before the date I had specified with OWD. i have since learnt they booked it a whole month after I wanted to be qualified despite sufficient notice.

Throughout our correspondence they were unprofessional and did not sign off emails with any names. They selectively answered my concerns and did not keep me informed about when my test would be or when my lessons would start. They also ignored my requests to shorten the number of lessons I had booked after I found out they could not start me at the agreed time.

I feel my time was wasted and I have yet to see evidence that they had instructors available for my original start date in my hometown as they had advertised nor have they explained what the 'issues beyond [their] control' were.

I attempted to get a refund from them but they refused so I have since reported them to the advertising standards agency and trading standards. I have since left their service and got a local instructor I am happy with.

I could complain about the instructor they provided but that is a different kettle of fish.

MOHAMMED SAJIED OWD

MOHAMMED SAJIED worst driving instructor ever. Always on the phone speaking his language whilst I’m driving, I drive him home at leat 2 times a day then leaves me waiting in the car park, gets me to drive his daughter to Manchester so she can meet friends for food, He’s got me to take him to sort his divorce out, failed to turn up to a 7 hour lesson and didn’t let me know until 3pm after ignoring all texts and phone calls, blags me I need another 15-20 hours when I have 14.5 hours remaining even though he said the day before I will be test ready the day before, says my clutch control is not good yet he has me driving 65 mph on the motorway, there’s no communication between us and does not teach me anything, I’ve asked for refund but he doesn’t do, he’s an absolute joke of a human being who is a con artist! My biggest regret is not reading up about OWD before I payed over £1000 for a 32.5 course!!! ANYBODY THINKING OF USING THIS SHAMBLES OF A COMPANY PLEASE THINK TWICE!!!!

Amazing service

Really easy to book, great prices and my instructor was amazing. I went from being a nervous, barely competent driver to passing first time with one minor in 17.5 hours. Would recommend 100% to anyone looking to learn to drive without wanting to spend months learning.

Traumatising

My experience with OneWeekIntensiveDriving was one of the worst I’ve ever had in my life.

I chose the 35 hours option as I felt confident but had little to no experience in a car, this fit the description. I paid the enormous £400 admin fee and a week or so later I was contacted by my instructor with a very unprofessional text asking for money.

I paid the money but instantly felt unsure because of the unprofessional manner in which it was asked for.

A couple of weeks later, my instructor showed up in what seemed to be her personal car with an unbranded topper. The car was not clean and there was McDonalds salt packets stuck in the bottoms of the side windows (it later became clear that these were intended as markers to help with parking).

As it turns out, she wasn’t local and didn’t know the area at all. She had family in the area and took the job because she could stay with them.

Because of this, she couldn’t decide where to start our lesson because she didn’t know the roads. She ended up just pulling over on the side of a busy road and asked me to get into the drivers seat. So, in my first ever time driving a car on the road she had me driving 50mph down a main road. It was absolutely terrifying.

I ended up only having 6 hours of lessons in the end because of how frightening the experience was. One example: we approached a busy town centre before she had shown me the basics of braking and changing gears and of course I stalled a number of times. Her response to this was to bark at me as if I was simply being incompetent and not thinking.

I asked her if we could go over the basics because I felt like I didn’t understand, and her response was to tell me to watch YouTube tutorials in between our sessions.

She took a number of calls while I was in the drivers seat which scared me because we were approaching junctions and traffic lights and I didn’t know what to do.

Toward the end of my sixth hour with her I was so worked up I just couldn’t stop the tears. She asked me to pull over and gave me a hug which I appreciated. But she continued to tell me that crying was natural, expected and a normal part of learning to drive: my current driving instructor has proved to me that this is not the case.

After this, it took a lot for me to get in the car with her again. When I did, she asked me to reverse around the corner onto a road and when I told her I didn’t know how to she looked at me as if I was just being stupid. It was at that point that I said I couldn’t continue and I got out of the car.

I cried so much throughout this entire experience, I really didn’t feel like myself at all. It was one of the worst feelings I’ve ever had. I wish I was just exaggerating but it was truly awful.

My instructor gave me back a small portion of the remaining money, but not the full amount of what I had left because it was already “booked in” - whatever that meant. She wasn’t a horrible person by any means but she was very impatient, shouted a lot, had no lesson structure and didn’t seem very invested or like she cared at all.

I lost so much money with this company but I didn’t care at the time, I just wanted the situation to be over.

Now I’ve got an absolutely FANTASTIC instructor who has shown me how great driving can be. I learned more with him in the first five minutes than I did with the whole six hours with oneweekintensivedriving. It’s thanks to him that I was able to get back on the roads at all. He’s patient, understanding and totally invested in teaching me how to be a confident and safe driver.
