Was super nervous to start my course after failing first time few years ago but my instructor Allan was amazing with me and had such great patience, passed second time round after completing a 10 hour course and I’m so pleased I went through this company! Very informative and well set out, will be recommending to anyone looking to do a driving course!
This company had prior knowledge that the driver they recommended was not trustworthy
After paying £379.99 to them and £875 to the driving instructor.
The driver didn’t turn up as scheduled and isn’t contactable.
Intensive driving have been very dismissive about the whole situation
I am now in the process of reporting this to the police as fraud
DO NOT USE
I have just started driving and I'm very satisfied
I found this company through google, i was looking for a no nonsense intensive driving course that i would complete within a reasonable time frame, after all thats why im paying over the odds for this specific service.
This cost me £1379, £379 payable to the company via their website and as soon as you pay the deposit you are then instructed to pay the instructor they allocate you either cash or a bank transfer for the remaining amount, in my case £1000, I instantly had a bad feeling but i decided to proceed given that i had just paid the deposit and never imagined it would blow up in my face.
i was allocated a driving instructor (Nicholas Jackson based in Holmes Chapel - ADI - 320104) who rang me the next day after being allocated to me by OWD, we arranged to start on 05/05/2019 and he asked for the money to be paid on that day which i did. From the 05/05/19 to 03/06/19 i had 4 hours over 3 sessions which i had to chase for, i have a string of unanswered texts and calls from the 22/05/19 and began thinking the worst so i contacted OWD and they informed me that Nicholas had stopped teaching and that this affected 6 other pupils being owed their money back. OWD then offered to refund me my deposit to "alleviate my financial loss"
I have had to file reports with the police and ActionFraud who are pursuing this matter as fraud.
To sum up, the way this company operates is basically as an agency that pass work onto self employed instructors that arent known to them or vetted appropriately, the system of you paying the company an extortionate amount to basically give you the name of an instructor local to you and then to find you a test date for you is massively flawed as you are essentially having someone thats been picked for you turn up to your house, handing over a large sum of cash to them and then waiting/relying on them to give you the service you purchased, its far too easy to be conned and the company OWD dont want to know and rely on the fact that the instructors arent employed by them which im being told by ActionFraud and the Police isnt true and that they are responsible.
I urge anyone looking into an intensive driving course to find a local company who employ their own instructors and to never pay cash.

Passed first time with only one minor. My instructor was great, friendly and extremely knowledgable. My theory and practical tests were all booked by oneweek, using test centres by my home, without me having to worry about anything. 10/10 would reccomend
Not the worst experience but not the best.
Communication wasn’t the greatest and I couldn’t get an instructor in my area so travelled for two hours each day each way but thankfully travelling expenses were given back to me.
I failed my theory test first time and had to pay more for them to find me a quick test date but now In hindsight I could have just done this myself and saved some money however at this point they did find me another test date to which i passed.
I had a great instructor however nerves got to me and I failed my first test. I emailed the company to say and paid for a quick rebook but actually found a quicker one myself so I’ve paid extra for nothing. Failed my second test sadly and decided just to rebook myself and finally passed.
Since booking my second test I have heard nothing from the company. I would have thought there would be a follow up to see if I passed or not but nope nothing at all.
Like I said not the best experience having to chase up tests and impossible to communicate with but by other reviews it looks like I had it easier.
In my opinion i could have easily found an instructor and did all this myself and saved so much money. So my advice don’t take the lazy way and use a company, just hunt for an instructor that has space for intensive hours and sort it yourself. I basically paid hundreds for someone to send a text out to instructors and wait for one to accept me haha.
Had Brian as an instructor and he was amazing , was very patient and understanding with me and filled me with confidence, due to this I passed first time
After paying the deposit and receiving the details of the instructor, it sounded like a legit company who were going to be very swift in providing a good quality driving experience. Sadly this wasn't the case.
I received very short, poorly written texts from my instructor who turned up in a car with only an L plate sticker on wearing shorts and a t-shirt with the radio on (which he kept on during the lesson?!). I was skeptical about getting in this car but thought he would be a competent instructor. This was until the very unprofessional greeting and half-arsed 'just drive on' type attitude.
I soon learnt that this instructor had no patience, no bedside manners and no professional bone in his body. When navigating tricky roundabouts he had no basic instructions and allowed me to panic and make mistakes, something that I have never done and have had plenty of lessons a few years ago. I was left shaken, anxious and very angry. He was a complete waste of £500 and needs some real training!
I then called this company the next day to cancel the lessons as I had lost all confidence with them and was told that I wouldn't get my deposit back (which I knew would happen) but then I only get £62 back for the price of the lesson! I'd like the 18 hours refunded to me, but I think that'd be short of a miracle to get back.
I wish I'd have read this reviews before bothering with this company, as I would never ever recommend it to my worst enemy.
Had a great experience with OWD, and my instructor got me the pass first time with two minors!
Your experience will mostly be based on the instructor you are allocated, so rather than paying an extortionate fee for them finding you one, choose one yourself.
I went with this company as it is guaranteed to get you an instructor with very short notice, and they did. My theory test was booked within 24 hours and they were very quick to respond to my emails. But because of my instructor, my one-week intensive course took 6 weeks overall.
He would disappear for days at a time, had several other clients and simply didn't have the time. He turned up late up to 40 minutes, cut lessons short and was actually quite unpleasant.. My test was booked and then cancelled, then my next test I was taken to the wrong test centre and the third test was not booked for another 15 days after that. Luckily I passed first time or I would have felt the whole thing to be a complete waste of money.
I called to discuss my experience with oneweekintensivedriving and whilst they were relatively helpful in communicating my issues with my instructor, they did not offer an apology - which for more than £1300 I felt was the very least they could offer.
My advice is to book an instructor directly through a driving school, this way you aren't paying hundreds in agency fees and if anything goes wrong, you haven't paid a ridiculous amount upfront.
Great company, no hesitation in getting back to you if you have a query. My driving instructor was brilliant! Calm, patient and reassuring. I had 12 hours and then my test. I PASSED with just 1 minor. Over the moon!
If there was an option for -766 out of 5, i would still think that was too generous. Long story short i booked a 15 hour intense driving course. i got given an instructor, who couldnt work after 7:30pm, his words ‘no driving instructor would work a night shift’ (sarcasm at its finest) - he was rude via text and the company were unhelpful. I had NOT taken any lessons, or stepped foot in a car yet with OneWeekDriving - so i asked for my deposit money of £200 back, and i will go elsewhere - they said i was not entitled..?? So they now owe me £200 - they did refund me £62 for ‘the test fee’! i NEVER even booked a test so i have no idea how i would of been refunded for it?! they are an ABSOLUTE JOKE - unhelpful and con artists. PLEASE dont make the same mistake as me, go with Aclaim they are SO helpful, and i passed my test in 3 weeks.
ps i will be taking this comlany to trading standards so this will not happen to any unlucky customers in future.

I decided to book using oneweek as my husband couldn’t of recommend it more. I initially booked for last week in February, i was allocated an instructor who phoned and said he would pick me up on the Monday, so I went ahead and booked my daughter into nursery, the week before he text and said my test was booked for 15th March so 3 weeks later! So changed when he was starting to teach me, couldn’t change nursery as to late notice so still required to pay. I had agreed in the beginning to do the course over 2 weeks as i had booked the 40 hours. Ended up being over 3 weeks, totally unnecessary when first week was only 2 days for 4 hours. A week in nursery fees I could of saved on. Then was due to go out one day and my instructor text me 5 mins before lesson to say he couldn’t make it, he then text me 2 hours later to say he was outside ( message was meant for another student!!!) he could take another student out but not myself he had clearly overbooked himself. Finally the test day came, had lesson before hand and a situation arrises on the road so i was instructed not to pass, the same situation happened on the test so i did exactly the same as i had done an hour before hand with my instructor to be told by the examiner he was “wrong ” this basically cost me my test. As you can probably already imagine i failed!! So i have since rebooked my test and having to wait 6 weeks. I won’t be using the same instructor i have since contacted the instructor my husband had, hard lesson to learn especially when it cost £2000 with the lessons, nursery fees and having to pay for a 2nd test!! If i was to recommend one week to anyone in the future I would strongly recommend they at least do some research into the instructor prior to going out with them. Hindsight i wish i had said no and requested the same instructor my husband was given.

Would highly recommend as it was very organised and a professional service from start to finish. Was customised to my abilities, and I knew exactly what was happening throughout. Angie was patient and very supportive, no question was unanswered, and my confidence grew after every lesson. Massive thank you as I was able to pass on my first test.
Everything went smoothly, instructor was great and I passed my test first time!
Thank you so much to Ahmed my driving instructor for being so patient with me and pushing me to perfect my manoeuvres! Absolutely over the moon to have passed in just a week! Had a little hiccup with dates but it was sorted quickly by the lovely people in the office and Ahmed and a week later I have my full license and I only had 2 minors! Soooo happy!
My driving instructor was amazing, and oneweek certainly delivered on their promises!!
From beginning to end a brilliant idea. and if you are busy working the flexible approach to lessons to suit your timescales is faultless. All tests were booked quickly and i was paired with an amazing instructor whoh really helped me to progress. Passed wit only 4 minor faults. Couldnt be happier.
All in all an excellent service. A++++
Not only did I get taught to drive my instructor gave me so much confidence, this course was perfect for me as I am not patient and wanted to pass straight away, definitely would recommend the course very frexible !
Took the stress out of everything from booking theory to booking practical test.
Instructor was brilliant, really helped me become Test Ready and passed first time.
Would 100% recommend One Week Driving to anyone who wants to pass first time !!
