We have bought and sold many properties in our time. The service we have received from estate agents has usually rated somewhere between poor and very poor. Oscar James have been a breath of fresh air. From the moment we met Craig at our property, right through to completion with Ryan, the staff have been friendly, communicative and professional. It is no surprise that their reviews are so positive and we would have no hesitation in recommending Oscar James to anyone buying or selling a property.

Brilliant service from Dan, we have used him for our last 3/4 mortgages and even speak with him as and when required for advice. Nothing too much trouble and has great market knowledge and experience. Will continue to use him for all our mortgage needs.

We recently sold our bungalow through Oscar James, Corby and although they were initially very proactive, once the bungalow was sold, we barely heard from them. Our buyer’s estate agent were exactly the opposite and kept us updated through their sales progression manager. She was knowledgeable and approachable. I would not recommend Oscar James.

Couldn’t recommend Oscar James highly enough. Initially, we went on the market with multiple agents as we were looking to purchase a new build. The other agents were absolutely awful, and when we decided to not pursue a new build but to start looking at purchasing an established house, my husband and I had no issues binning off the other agent and going directly with Oscar James to sell our home.

The team in Kettering, especially Dom, Rachel, Anele and Alistair were fabulous, keeping in touch with us regularly regarding the sale and viewings of our home. We sold our home with Oscar James and then pursued a purchase with them also. They proactively helped us find houses to view and we ended up being shown our perfect home before it had officially been listed on the market. There were a few bumps along the way, nothing to do with our agents but more just the back and forth chain of selling and buying a home but they were so patient with us (me, it was me, I called daily at one point) and we’re genuinely excited for us once we had completed. My daughter who is 6 still asks to go in the office when we pass in town to say hi as they were always so lovely with her.

Overall, amazing experience, but we’ve found our dream home now so sadly won’t be needing their services again but I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an agency who genuinely cares about you and your home.

Estate agents Oscar James Kettering were from the first viewing of the house we eventually bought, professional,helpful and pleasant.They kept us up to date on all aspects of the sale and liaised with vendors quickly and efficiently.From Rachel who first showed us the house,Dominic C who kept us informed at every stage and Amelie who was a joy to speak to on the phone. We completed within 38 days which I think at the moment with how slow the process normally takes was quite amazing I can only thank the team at Oscar James Kettering for making the whole process of house purchase far less stressful than is the norm.

We were really impressed with the service we received from beginning to end. Selling a house can be stressful, yet the process felt easier as we felt the service was honest, friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend Oscar-James to anyone selling.

We were miss-sold property from Oscar James estate agents and we don’t recommend anyone going through them or else you will face lot of issues, like what we are going through now. We have just completed 5weeks ago but facing lot of issues due this agency.

Initially we mentioned to Oscar James that we were interested in the investment property, so after few months when there was one HMO Oscar James has shown the property, we were shown all the rooms except one room when we asked the estate agent they mentioned that tenant was not feeling well.
Then we asked if the room is in good condition and there are no issues, they mentioned it is in good condition and no issues. They were talking very diplomatically and nicely to sell the property at the time of purchasing we didn’t know and we thought they were giving correct information but they broke our trust and honesty.
We thought of doing survey they somehow discouraged and said valuation is enough.
Seriously they have not disclosed lot of information to us, which we didn’t know when purchasing the property we thought they were telling truth but that was not correct.
After the completion of the property, we found several surprises and this agent didn’t do his due diligence and played on our honesty and the Room1 where they said that tenant was not feeling well, but actually after completion when we spoke to tenant, tenant mentioned she was fine and she would have showed if she was asked to show the room.
The room which the agent didn’t show purposely telling room is good has lot of works which costs between £15000 to £20000 which was a shocking surprise.
There are more issues as well which was not disclosed, this agent didn’t do there due diligence and was only interested in selling and also pressurized saying that you will loose the property if the deal is not done and it is a good buy.
There is lot to mention.
But As per the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 Act they haven’t provided all the relevant information.
Please I never thought I would be writing this review but seriously we are facing lot of issues because of this miss-sold property from Oscar James.
We just want to give heads up to the prospective buyers.
We have dealt with other estate agents but never faced the issues and they were very clear about all the condition of the house and showing every room in detail.

Oscar James Northampton helped me buy my first home. Id highly recommend Steph, I gave her my wish list and she found me the house. Steph & Matt were both really great to deal with and I was kept up to date from offer accepted to getting my keys. They made the experience of being a first time buyer less scary and I'm now all settled in my lovely new home - thanks Steph & Matt

Very disappointed with these people after four phone calls trying to get hold of the agent who was dealing with a property we were interested in- we just gave up really poor service - communications a big thing

We have recently sold our house through Oscar James Wellingborough Road branch. I would like to thank Matthew Price the Branch Manager whom we first met, what was really good he knew the area our home was and had previously had successful sales. Matthew listened to us and promised he would take of us as his clients and he did. I would like to thank Stephanie the Senior Sales Negotiator who was mainly our point of contact. Although we did have some setbacks along the way Stephanie remained professional at all times resulting in a successful sale. We loved the brochure and would also, like to thank Ellie and Lois. Professional ,polite ….. on the ball !!!! We sold our house in a matter of weeks! And over the Christmas period…..
the photographer was amazing she showcased our home to perfection !! Almost made us not want to sell when we seen the brochure😀.

Excellent marketing with video and photos on social media, as well as Rightmove etc. Throughout the whole process we were kept up to date with enquiries and viewing feedback.
The really positive point was their confidence in the property valuation and at no time was a price reduction mentioned or suggested. Our previous experiences had been of other agents wanting a price reduction at an early stage to make their lives easier, rather than working hard to find the most suitable buyer and obtaining the best price.
