Absolute shambles of a garage
Would not use again. I had a service and MOT booked in for July 2023. This was an online deal, booked and paid for back in April 2023. Attended the morning of and was told to drop my car off first thing, which I did. On arrival, I gave my details, and was asked what kind of service my car needed, bearing in mine I had already emailed Paisley Auto Care with the mileage at the time of booking, which would indicate what kind of service it would require.
I left my car with them and received a phone call around 1 hour later, explaining that it would require a certain oil, which they did not stock, and would need to be ordered in. That was fine, and was told I would definitely get the car back that day.
Waited around all day for a phone call, to which I called the garage in the afternoon asking for an update with my car. Was told by someone on the phone that it was still getting a service and still had to be put through an MOT, and to expect a phone call around 5pm. In between time, I received an email detailing the service outcome. Due to repairs needing done on all four pads and discs, I contacted the garage, asking what price they could do for me for the pads and discs. I was surprised at this, due to my car being only 3 years old, I didn’t expect the front pads and discs to need done already. Anyway, an absolute extortionate price originally for all four pads and discs, so I decided to phone some other garages to get another quote, in the mean time, I left it with the garage that they would phone me once the MOT had been completed and we could go from there.
At twenty past 5 at night, I called the garage to get an update for my car, as I was aware they closed at 6pm. I was told that my car was still going through the MOT and to expect a phone call in 20 minutes. I did, and at twenty to 6 I was called to say that my car was likely to pass its MOT, and it still had 10 minutes to go. I discussed the other quotes I had received from other garages with the male on the phone, and managed to get a slightly better deal, and was assured that all four pads and discs would be done for 12pm the next day. I still asked if I could be told if and when my car had finished the MOT, that way I would know if it had failed on anything. So being told, it was likely to pass and taking the advice of what you expect to be people who know cars and know what they need, I agreed for this garage to carry out the work above.
6pm passed and I still was not contacted regarding my cars MOT, and so I assumed it had passed. However, I checked my car out on the gov website to which I was disappointed to see that this garage had failed it, only on the rear brake pads. With it now being too late to contact the garage, and speaking to family and friends regarding their conduct and charging price, I decided I did not want this garage to carry out any more work than what needed done for my car to pass its MOT.
First thing the next morning, I contacted the garage and explained my concerns. I was told on the phone that they “thought it would have passed it’s MOT” and that they were going to contact me first thing… however, I must have bet them too it!
I explained to the male how disappointed I was that I was not contacted prior to the termination of their shift the previous night, of my car failing it’s MOT and to also be told that all four pads and discs need replaced, even though it only failed on rear pads. I was given the typical garage chat that it needed rear discs and they even used the words “falling apart”. If that was the case, my car would have failed on the rear discs too.
I explained that only rear pads were to be done and I would be taking my car elsewhere for a second opinion.
I waited until quarter past 12 that afternoon, called the garage to be told that it was still being worked on. Shortly after, I received a call, again, encouraging me to replace the rear discs and was told they needed done. Again, I said no and only to do the work that needed done, for the car to pass MOT. At that point, the work had still not been completed and at quarter past 1 in the afternoon, I decided to attend the garage and wait on my car. I was told that it would be another 15 minutes.
I eventually got my car back around quarter to 2 that afternoon.
What an absolute shambles of a garage. I can honestly say I don’t know that much about car parts, but I certainly know when garages are trying to take advantage and charge too much money.
Seriously not happy with how I was treated and as much as I had communication with them throughout the time my car was with them, it was mainly a sales pitch and trying to get me to pay for car parts that quite frankly, my car doesn’t need at this moment in time.
Already had a second opinion, which showed me that this garage were just trying to get as much money of me as possible.
Won’t be back, and certainly will not recommend to anyone.
**CAUTION: Unreliable Diagnostic Services - Beware of Paisley Autocare!**
I had an extremely frustrating encounter at Paisley Autocare, and I feel it's my responsibility to share my ordeal to protect others from experiencing a similar situation. Brace yourself for this shocking revelation:
On July 7th, I took my car to Paisley Autocare because of a warning light indicating problems with sensor 1 and sensor 2. I hoped their diagnostic expertise would help identify the issue and recommend the appropriate solution.
Regrettably, after paying £60 for the diagnostic service, I was informed that I may need the sensor 1 to be replaced at the cost of £250 just for one sensor without giving me any guarantee of refund if the sensor was not the problem! I was skeptical of not giving me any guarantee that this was the issue, assuming their knowledge and experience would guarantee a resolution.
However, as luck would have it, I decided to do some research on my own. To my astonishment, I discovered that both sensors could not have malfunctioned simultaneously. My investigation revealed that a blown fuse was the actual culprit behind the engine light from the dashboard.
It became crystal clear that Garage Paisley either failed to conduct a thorough inspection or knowingly misled me into wasting money on unnecessary diagnosis and misleading me to quote me £250 me for replacing the o2 sensor 1. Either way, their actions are deeply unethical and unprofessional.
When I confronted Paisley Autocare with this new information and requested a refund for the faulty diagnosis, they outright denied my claim, showing no accountability for their misleading practices.
My experience at Paisley Autocare left me feeling cheated, frustrated, and disappointed. It's evident that they prioritize their financial gains over their customers' well-being, offering subpar and unreliable diagnostic services.
I strongly advise all car owners to exercise caution when considering any repairs related to this garage for any automotive services. Their lack of integrity and unwillingness to take responsibility for their mistakes is a clear red flag.
For trustworthy and reliable automotive services, I encourage you to seek out establishments that value customer satisfaction and demonstrate honesty and transparency in their dealings.
In conclusion, my encounter with Paisley Autocare was nothing short of a nightmare. Spare yourself the stress and potential financial loss by steering clear of this establishment.
Please share this review with your friends, family, and anyone in need of automotive services to ensure they are aware of the risks associated with Paisley Autocare. Let's hold businesses accountable and demand better service standards in our community.

Once again a successful trip to the garage. Paisley Autocare again did not disappoint. Great customer service and work done again.

First class service.I was kept in the loop at all times.
Extremely poor customer service…
I have used this garage for many years but I will not be using them again.
Their customer service skills are non existent. I decided to use their pick up/drop off service (you pay a fee for this service) but they had no idea what they were doing. My original date to have mot/service was changed by the garage, which is not a problem. I spoke to a member of staff where we discussed and agreed for my car to be collected at my work. However they turned up at my home address to get it. I was still getting ready for work and had to ask him to give me time to get ready before driving to my work and the driver following me.
Second issue, when my car was eventually ready, I was told my car could not be delivered that day, as my address was too far out. Extremely poor customer service. Like many folk I need my car for work. I arranged for my car to be delivered the following morning, again stressing to them I needed my car for work. They contacted me again to ask me where my car was to be dropped off, despite advising them a few times about this. Shortly afterwards PA contacted me to say their driver was running late, so my car would need to be delivered slightly later. Again I had to remind them I required my car to returned to me by a specific time. They did manage to drop it off in time.
In short, Paisley Auto need to improve communication, not only with customers but internally too. No one knew from the outset about the arrangements for collecting and dropping off my car, despite being informed numerous times by myself.
I will taking my custom to another garage in the future.

Got a good deal for my MOT
Got a good deal for my MOT. The team gave great service. My only comment would be regarding the online booking system for an MOT. You book a time slot for your MOT (I chose 10am, and took my car to the garage at that time), however, your car might not be taken at that time. My MOT was carried out at 4.00 pm. It wasn't an issue as I had nothing to do, but I would have taken it to the garage at an earlier time if I had known. No big deal. I will know the next time. I will continue to use Paisley Autocare.

Was called a screwball when I insisted my driver door didn't always make that noise. Mechanic assured me he MOT's Kias everyday and he knew best. Spoke to Kia the following morning driver door shouldn't alarm and they were able to talk me through how to turn it off.
Thanks again

Concientious and honest
Concientious and honest, I had a lot of work done on my car & would go back again. Also, there was none of the usual attitude you get with mechanics - everything was explained to me if I asked. Highly recommended.

During & aftercare are most important.
Booked in for Service but was held up and arrived late. Reception weren’t sure if they had a ramp available as I wanted to wait. Just then, Liam stepped forward & said he would make sure they’ll be one made available shortly. I was very appreciative of that and was then offered coffee. When I was waiting, Liam who was carrying out the Service, showed me things that weren’t right with my car (carried out by previous garage), so glad he did as you’ll read further on. Scott in the reception took time to discuss in full what work was on the advisory list that was needing attended to. Later, I had further questions regarding the list inc cost etc and have been corresponding with Scott since. Each time he gave prompt information & I found this very helpful. Due to all of the foregoing, I’ve made arrangements to return to have the advisory work dealt with, including prices which seem reasonable. I’ve also contacted the previous garage on the ‘serious’ fault that was brought to my attention by Liam. They have acknowledged, apologised & requested to give them a chance to rectify. I will return but for that reason only. Due to how I was dealt with and the care taken of my car during the basic Service, I won’t be going anywhere else. During & aftercare are the most important things to me. I have used many garages throughout Glasgow & Renfrewshire over the years, but would highly recommend this one, without a doubt.
