Friendly and professional

Friendly, professional service. Booked a motorcycle m.o.t online, dropped it off at the allotted time(ten minutes earlier in fact), and they did the test straight away while I waited.
Tea & coffee available while you wait.
A very easy and pleasant experience, I would highly recommend.

Body Shop repair.

My car required body shop repair. The process from the obtaining an estimate through to collecting the car after the work was completed was excellent. The Body Shop Manager (Hugh) was first class at every stage and the Reception staff were also extremely helpful by arranging to collect my car and dealing with the admin. I would strongly recommend Paisley Autocare.

Excellent service from start to finish

If I could give 6 stars I would. My vehicle was in for accident repair and from start to finish the service was excellent. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Particularly Hugh who answered my never ending questions with patience and made me feel at ease with the whole process. They kept in contact throughout and were always on hand if I needed them. The repair was completed in a timely manner and I am very pleased with the results. 100% recommend!

What a garage - fantastic service!!!

Someone had keyed driver and rear passenger doors on my Mercedes GLA220d. As I work in Paisley I noticed a garage across from my work and thought I’d speak to them about a quote. So pleased with the quote the car was booked in for the work to be done. I was told it would take 2 days to complete but returning from work I received a call from Hugh Miller (good guy) who was dealing with my car. He told me it would be ready for collection after one day. I was also sent videos of the work that had been done and it looked great. On inspection when I arrived to collect the car looked great. What a service this garage provides and will be happy to use them for MOTs and services etc from now on.
Great service, great garage.

Been using the garage for years. Could not recommend them enough. Always accommodating, give good advice on any car related issues I’ve had. Clearly walk you through MOTs and service results so it’s easy to process. Repairs are always to high standard. Great team

Serious Concerns About Transparency and Cost

I recently had an MOT and service arranged through Fixter with Paisley Autocare and encountered several serious issues:

(1). Service and MOT Order: The MOT was performed before the service, leading to a fail and potentially pressuring acceptance of additional repairs. This sequence is unusual and concerning.

(2). Repair Recommendations: I was quoted over £600 to replace including both rear wheel bearings, even though one was already replaced two months ago and the MOT didn’t mention any bearing issues. This brings into question the necessity of the suggested repairs.
Response : I can send the receipts of replacement of rear bearing. You can't change bearing in two months. This shows non transparent and vague your process is.

(3). Tyre Condition Reporting: All four tyres were flagged as needing attention, despite being recently replaced (Actualy two weeks back). This raises doubts about the accuracy of the inspection. The tyres are in perfect condition.

(4). Diagnosis Charges: I was charged £86.50 for a brake diagnosis, yet the same service is listed on the garage’s website for £59.99. I’ve documented this discrepancy.

(5). Poor Communication: I was given vague and inconsistent updates about when the car would be ready. The overall tone was dismissive, and a booked air conditioning check was never reported on.
(6). On my repeated request for review link, they sent it last week but didn't publish my review on their website.

I should have been much careful using this garage.

A few important clarifications:

Booking & pricing (Fixter vs. Paisley Autocare): Your MOT and service were booked and paid through Fixter, not directly with us. Our in-house diagnosis fee is £60. The £86.50 you were charged was set via Fixter’s platform and includes their fees — pricing and billing on that are between you and Fixter, not Paisley Autocare. If you book with us directly, our diagnosis remains £59.99.

MOT before service: It’s normal to carry out the MOT first (by DVSA rules, the MOT is an independent test). If a vehicle fails, we provide estimates for any MOT-related repairs but no work goes ahead without your approval.

Rear wheel bearings quote: We only recommend parts based on inspection findings at the time. If a bearing was recently replaced elsewhere, we’re happy to recheck and review the quote against any invoices or warranty details. Nothing is fitted or billed without authorisation.

Tyre advisories: MOT tyre findings are based on measured tread depth/condition on the day. Recently fitted tyres can still receive advisories (e.g. uneven wear, damage, or borderline tread on one edge). If you’ve got proof of recent fitment, bring it in and we’ll re-measure all four tyres for free and explain the readings.

Communication & A/C check: Sorry the updates felt vague — we’ll feed this back to the team.

Review link/publishing: We can send a review link for our own platforms, but we don’t control what Fixter publishes on their site.

They are just here for make money not for customer satisfaction, they are scamers, they charged you guys unnecessary.. making people fool.. not doing any service they just charge you..

They charged me £60 for just enter the car in their premises.. if you give the car for anything, they will never give you car back without charge.. so beaware before going to them.

They don't bother customers, manager of the garage said if you don't like our services don't come to us,, instead of improving the services.. I checked the reviews today, I check the review before then I will never visit to this garage... they are having so many bad review.

Our diagnostic fee is £60, which covers a qualified technician’s time, equipment use, and fault reporting. It’s never a charge for “just entering our premises.”

Customers are always given costs upfront and are under no obligation to proceed with any additional work.

We’re a DVSA-approved MOT station and VAT-registered business – professionalism and compliance are at the core of what we do.

We also couldn’t help but notice your history of leaving 1-star reviews for many businesses. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion, of course, but it does suggest you may be difficult to please.

We genuinely value constructive feedback, as it helps us improve, but inaccurate claims don’t reflect the service we provide daily to the many satisfied customers who trust us with their vehicles.

Used this company a few times and I…

Used this company a few times and I can honestly say I have received excellent service every time , especially from Hugh who was a great help when my car was damaged in an accident. Superb service, great value for money , friendly customer service

Paisley Auto Care are Number 1.

Had an excellent experience from them, car going in for Service, MOT and air conditioning. They picked it up and dropped it off. Superb service, they saved me trying to fight through the traffic to get there. It was late in the day, thank you very much guys.

Poor Service

I have had several cars serviced at Paisley auto care, I noticed that when paying I did not get a listing of items serviced on that occasion or any other and also the service book was not being stamped. When I asked I was told the information was available on the website, which it is not. I was hoping to maintain a service history for the vehicles but not possible when using this garage, I will find an alternative garage and suggest that you do the same

Care of my car was not up to scratch

My car was in their garage for a few repairs including an MOT. The work done on the car was good.

But on collecting my car when all the work was complete, I saw a large scratch to a front panel plus a scuffed black bumper panel.

The car was pre-inspected for any bodywork damage on its final visit and no damage was seen on the car then. So the paint scratch and scuff occurred, when the car was in their care. The owner/manager denied any responsibility for the damage.

If you don't want your car scratched when getting repaired (and who does), then don't take it to Paisley Autocare.

Excellent service with great staff

My husband, Colin, and I decided to drive to our local park in the evening. However, the traffic leading to the motorway was horrendous and we decided to turn back. When we turned into a side street the gear suddenly went limp and we had to park. We called our breakdown cover and they said we'd have to wait for a couple of hours. Luckily I noticed, right in front of our car, that there was a van parked with an autocare logo, so I got out of the car and spoke to its driver, John. He told us he owned a garage and that, if we didn't get any joy from our breakdown cover, to let him know and he'd arrange for our car to be taken to his garage the next day. He gave us the keys to his car so we could use it until our car was fixed. The car was fixed a couple of days later, and we can't thank John and his team enough for going above and beyond to help us out, given that this was the first time we'd met him. We will be using this garage from now on as they're efficient, honest and a family owned business. Thanks, again, John, for your incredible act of kindness, which was very much appreciated.

It took me going in late in the day to find out.

Rear Brake Replacement

Car was booked in for replacement rear brakepads and discs. There were issues in getting the electric handbrake to reset on completion of the change. The car was kept in overnight to do a full reset of the vehicle software, which resolved the issue. A fair amount of time was spent by staff to identify and resolve the issue, with no additional charges to the original quote for the brake replacement. Thanks to Liam for the good communication and updates and to the team for the persistance.
