Disappointing Experience and Poor Service

I had a disappointing experience with this service. I felt that the template letter I received was not useful for my situation and did not meet my expectations. In my opinion, it was not worth the time or money.

I sent three messages, and they stopped replying on the 7th of May. They only replied after I wrote a negative review (it was a reply to my review here). I felt the communication was inadequate for my needs during the whole process with poor customer service.

In their reply to my review, they accused me of lying about getting legal advice, even though I did and have proof from a proper solicitor. Additionally, when I left a negative review, they continued to send messages that I felt were intended to intimidate me.

Despite their assertions of successful court cases and proper legal defence, they are claiming some statements with no percentage of how many were successful – they might have only won one. My personal experience was negative. I could have paid the £40 ticket rather than paying for their service and the legal advice; eventually, I paid £100 for the fine. Overall, the service did not meet my expectations and was not worth the money for me.

We corresponded with the user via email on multiple dates: February 24th with initial appeal submission instructions, February 26th with further guidance, February 29th outlining steps in case of appeal rejection, and March 28th to inquire about appeal status.

We even replied to the user on WhatsApp on 24 Feb advising the user to send their appeal by post.

The statement that we stopped relying is simply false.

Despite our efforts, the user did not engage with these emails, access their online account to review provided instructions, or acknowledge a mailed letter detailing the appeal process comprehensively.

While we acknowledge the user sought legal advice, it appears the advice received may have been misleading. We have cited a county court decision where a judge dismissed a similar case based on facts presented in the user's appeal.

Our approach employs legally sound arguments that have consistently secured favorable outcomes in numerous court cases.

Advice to all customers: Even if your appeal is initially rejected, you are not obligated to pay a parking charge. Parking companies often rely on fear of court proceedings; however, with proper defence, many cases are successfully won.

Avoid unless you want to loose money!

Avoid unless you want to loose money. Paid for a defence to be submitted from a court. They ended up submitting it on the last day which did no go through as the courts mailbox had changed according to them (fair enough). I ended up receiving a CCJ now and its been nearly 4 months now and NO response to my messages and now I am left with a CCJ and these lot not responding or helping. Unless you want to loose your money, look elsewhere. P.s if they respond to this, what ever they write is a total lie.

The CCJ the customer referred to was REMOVED by the court when they informed the customer on 22 April 2024 that his defence had been re-instated.

Customer has received emails directly from the court confirming that the defence has been filed. We advised the customer to send a simple 1 line saying "Following the re-instatement of my defence, please confirm that my judgement has been removed."

Customer has refused for some reason to send this email.
We have exchanged 41 messages with this customer between May and June directly on WhatsApp, however, they claim we stopped responding.

In summary, the court acknowledged that they changed mailboxes and re-instated the defence on 22 April 2024.

Therefore, the claim that you will lose money, or the customer has been left with a CCJ is FALSE.

Customer has since decided to file a claim that the service was not delivered via their bank, this is another falsehood which our legal team will deal with. Considering the customer themselves has evidence of a defence being submitted.

// We have had to start putting facts to reviews because many false claims against our company have gone unchecked.

We encourage all customers to please leave factual reviews, good or bad. Our service is improved based on feedback we receive from customers or negative reviews.

Waste of money

Waste of money, missed key dates, I did most of the critical work myself. Lack of meaningful responses via the messaging service. They created a letter, but after that absolutely no further assistance. Had to continue to defend the case without their help. What was the point of paying then? Don't bother. Lots of free help out there instead of these scammers.

Simply not true. Absolutely no email notifications and I always check junk. And anyway we use your inbuilt messaging system and those messages are empty. And how is the £100 option self service?

Stating that we do not help is far from the truth and not based on the service we provide.

Please send us a message on WhatsApp and we will review your issue but if you paid for a self service option, you are required to follow the instructions provided.

Saved me £100

Really easy to use. Had low expectations, but all clearly explained and, even more of a surprise was that it was a complete success!

I'd missed the initial penalty letter so the fine would have been £100. What a saving!

Disappointed to see that they don't…

Disappointed to see that they don't appeal for you (Gemini) they just created a letter, that you have to then appeal yourself.
So you're paying for a computer to create a letter, then you have to submit It and fill all the questions.

The message below feels rather off, as the email never came, then they asked you for you just to 'double check':

Hello ********,
We need your help in checking if your appeal has been submitted successfully via the appeal link - geminiparkingsolutions.zatappeal.com.
Please wait a couple of minutes for a confirmation that the appeal has been successfully submitted.
If you do not receive any confirmation, then these are the steps you need to take:
1. How to Submit Your Appeal ...."

Successfully appealed a PCN

Successfully appealed a PCN for £100, at a private carpark in my town. I'd parked after 7.00pm in an empty carpark, returning around 11.00pm, apparently 2hour limit even outside of business hours. It was awful weather so didn't see the signs or ANPR. Needed to take a photo to support the appeal. Though I don't think I could have written an appeal as tight as the letter provided by Parking Mate. I had to manually submit the appeal, though the instructions were clear and I am glad I took this on, as these private parking companies are voracious and there should be legislation to allow people to use these carparks outside of business hours without penalty (a 4 hour limit would be fairer)

Parking Charge Notice of Contravention

This has been a long and gruelling case since the 6th April 2022. Parking mate have supported and stuck by me all the way through. They not only provided support but the correct paper work and guidance needed for a 'County Court Claim Defence' to acheive a final ' Notice of Discontinuance' which arrived on 8th April 2024. They have asked for nothing in return, only £99, which is their initial fee. This is also being reimbursed to me by the complainant. They are an amazing Team.. Thank you so much 👍😊

No communication after payment.

No communication after payment.
The company provided an appeal letter in the first place and got rejected. I tried to get in touch with the company several times on the website, WhatsApp, and through emails but no reply. I paid £20 for receiving a call that didn't happen.
Just a waste of money and time.
DO NOT USE THEM.

I stumbled upon the Parking Mate UK…

I stumbled upon the Parking Mate UK website while looking for help/advise for a PCN that I felt was unfair. I had tried to deal with the company, who were relentless in their pursuit of my hard earned money. My appeals were rejected and I was threatened with court action.
I got in contact with Parking Mate who were professional, responsive and explained the processes to me. They helped me to build my case which ultimately resulted in the company dropping the case before even going to court.
It is very hard these days to trust people or companies you find online but I cannot recommend Parking Mate UK highly enough. I naively thought that common sense in my case would prevail, and the company would stop hounding me seeing that it was a ridiculous case to pursue. What helped in my case is people who know the law and were able to advise me on paperwork and wording to ensure these companies couldn't bully me into giving my money away. My only regret in this case was not knowing about Parking Mate UK sooner. Every step of the way was easy and communication was tremendous. Truly the unsung hero’s of all things parking disputes. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️ I will be telling everyone about my experience - everyone should know about this amazing service.

Full of Promises but does not deliver

Got in touch with this company as I had received a parking notice from a private company. I had already written an appeal but the company insisted that the charges still stand.
I paid £50 via The Good Customer company to Parking mate who said that they would write a witness statement to the court and send me a copy, they did nothing, and when I send messages to them via email, I am directed to their whatsapp page but get no response. Whilst they may have helped some people based on the reviews ( if the reviews are genuine), they did nothing for me and took my money

We did not have enough information to prepare the customer's documents. We do not make any promises or guarantees for our service.

We provided the customer with a full refund and explained why the case was not processed.
