Terrible, feel like a scam
Ordered 3 Google play gift cards. I received 1 only, wrote to support and they keep telling me that they will get back within 48 hours. I got scammed by PayPal!
Robbed

Do not use them!!! Avoid at any cost!!! There is no buyer protection and will go into the scammers favor they called them sellers. Selling something completely then what they advertise at ridiculous prices and still go into their favour with all the proof provided any anything they asked for!!!!
PayPal is corrupt to the core
If you are using PayPal , you are an idiot. This company scams so many people, our board refuses to use or accept payments through them. You have been warned. They play politics w other people’s monies and are currently in so many lawsuits for this exact issue, stealing other peoples money making you fight for what’s yours- run
Not So Clever To Put It Pleasantly
Have been with PayPal almost since they started in a decent, humble and refreshing way compared to other financial institutions. They lead the way and even their customer service was helpful and responsive.
Things I think went to there head and for a long time they almost had a monopoly. Now the situation has change and the decent thing to do is move forward with ethics. No scam people with underhand tactics. I do understand most people only leave a review when they are unhappy but, they don’t even seem to be interested in trying to respond or defend themselves here.
We all like to make money, increase revenue and cover costs but, most people and institutions with integrity will try to do that with morales and understanding.
I am talking amongst many things the fact that when someone buys something by mistake or changes their mind the seller takes the hit through no fault of there own and PayPal keeps the fees. Also they charge a £12 fee when they rule a decision in the buyers favour which surely is a reason to help them reach their resolution. Their buyer and seller protection is more a BS clause. Also this make me think when they say another financial company has clawed the money back is this really the case, who will ever know.
One consolation is people are getting a bit more savvy now and can see through the garbage they are fed.
NO BUYER PROTECTION
I recently bought an item through eBay paying through its sister company PAYPAL because PAYPAL promote buyer protection??PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DONT BE FOOLED BY THIS CLAIM !!!!
I tried to contact eBay about an item not being delivered.... it's crazy but EBAY does not have any customer service contact points they just have online help information....which doesn't help at all ....so I contacted PAYPAL...you can talk to someone, basically they pass you from one department to another untill you get to ....CLAIMS AND DISPUTES......The rude Asian man ..(.yes it's all based in the Philippines) this rude man told me PAYPAL PROTECTION does not exist and I should of bought item.with a credit card ...he said if I want a refund I should contact my bank because they may care more !!!! ...and then he laughed.....
I will never buy on eBay using PayPal.....you can log in to eBay as a guest and check out with debit or credit card ....please do this .....DO NOT USE PAYPAL ...BASED IN THE ASIA ....THE PHILIPPINES....
Never will use paypal again!!!!!!
I have set up a paypal pay option for my small business because I thought it would provide more options to my customers. First order and they have not only holding onto my money but they have suspended any activity on my account because they need extra information from me. Now they have all of my information including my supplier's statements and yet they are refusing to release my money! Not even my bank has got my supplier's statements! I now have to wait up to 72hrs so they can check my info is valid and then again up to certain amount of hours until I might get my money! They can't say when. Not acceptable. My customers has my products but I ahve no money because paypal has it!
Paypal's protection is fake
I bought a replacement keyboard from a company using paypal. The keyboard was the wrong one and after weeks of conversations with the seller, I was instructed to return the keyboard back. I shipped the keyboard but never received the correct one. After a month I demanded a refund and never got a penny back.
Then I contacted paypal, described the situation and asked for refund. Paypal contacted the seller and they told me to return the keyboard to Hong-Kong. I called paypal and explained that I already sent the keyboard to a UK address with the instructions of the seller. I even sent paypal the picture of the post office receipt, forwarded the email conversations thread I had with the seller. But paypal refused my claim and sent me the email below.
We received the claim(s) you opened on 11 March 2021.
We've reviewed the transaction(s) and are denying your claim(s). The decision was made because we did not receive a response from you with supporting details for the case.
We're sorry for any problems you may have experienced with the transaction(s).
bad - worst PAYPAL
I should have read here before I open Paypai, terrible platform!. The worst experience ever. They hold payments and do not answer. They ask for track and trace and do not check it and again hold the payment..................I have no comments but will never even use this again.
Word of warning
Word of warning, do not use PayPal for any multi currency transactions, they will rip you off big time! I have been with PayPal for years, but this level of ripping off their customers is really just glorified theft, stealing from their loyal customers. Shame on you if you fool me once, shame on me if you fool me twice! So, I’m out. There are plenty other companies out there who don’t steal from their customers.
Awful
Unjustifed system with high charges to sellers bringing much grief. Case got closed automatically without them even looking into evidence properly. Not great policy for sellers.
Useless company
Paypal use to be a good way to pay. Now they became worst then a Bank. The useless customer care doesn’t give customised answers, only pre-made sentences. If you are scummed, usually they ask you to send back the items at your expense to get refunded. Avoid to open an account, does not worth your time and efforts.
The absolute most useless company…
The absolute most useless COMPANY EVER APART FROM HSBC
Staff have no training whatsoever
Caution if you think they help with scammers!
So, I bought some merchandise specifically through PayPal as I had thought I was covered if I was dealing with scammers....wrong!
I bought some items from the internet with a uk addressed company, when they arrived I realised they were fake copies and had come directly from China not the UK...these were not even good copies but really poor quality rubbish. I explained this in many telephone conversations with PayPal and I set up a dispute. At the same time I contacted trading standards about the company masquerading as a UK company selling fake goods. In the meantime I was increasing offered amounts of money from the company which I refused. I wanted my money back. So I was only offered my money back if I returned the items to China but I had bought them from a UK address so I refused (I’m not paying MORE money out to return fake goods to scammers) ....and I was waiting for Trading Standards to get back to me (I thought they may wish to see the fake goods) I then received an email from PayPal saying the dispute was closed they had found for the bogus company against me !
Be careful, be very careful about using PayPal....!
Works, but not as well as it could
I have bought multiple gift cards and mobile top-up vouchers through this service and I am overly satisfied. It is cheaper than many other sites, especially when it comes to phone top-ups as there are no processing fees and you only pay the face value of the voucher. The codes generally arrive withing 10 minutes, but they can also take even up to 4 hours, although that is in line with the message at checkout. However, initially I was not able to purchase anything despite having confimed both my card issued by a UK and my UK bank account without any explanation. I would just get a message at checkout that my transaction cannot be processed. After a few weeks it this message did not appear anymore and I do not know precisely what caused it.
Appalling customer service. Avoid.
Dreadful service. Avoid at all costs. I bought an X Box gift card for my nephew in the States. I thought this voucher would be valid over there but it wasn’t and he could not use it. I opened a dispute and politely asked them to change the currency or give a refund so I could buy him one another way. They just sent me a copy of their T&Cs saying I should have read them properly! I raised the dispute to a claim pleading for them to realise I’d made a mistake. They once again refused saying it was my mistake and basically TOUGH! I now have a £50 voucher that I cannot use and no means of getting a refund. Appalling customer service.
Don't use!
Beware use your credit card not PayPal. Have 5 charges on my account from 2 different companies and I haven't authorised them PayPal would appear to consider 1 transaction to company means open house for that company to charge you what they want when they want and all you can get from PayPal is authorised transaction because you have at sometime apparently authorised a transaction
