If I could leave not star I would. Worst experience ever from Paypal. Held my funds for more than 180 days. I have provided them with all documents required but no response. Do not use. Stay away.

I'm looking through all of these horrendous reviews about Pay Pal. Someone please tell me how they are getting away with this. I'm disgusted. They have no care in the world for their customers what so ever!!!

Paypal allowed a fraudulent seller to scam me.

I attempted to purchase Xbox GAME PASS (14.99 monthly) using paypal. Fraudulent seller-provided Xbox live gold instead (worth $5.99 monthly).

Paypal refused to refund even when provided with evidence of scam including website links, pictures of receipt, and response emails.

Abysmal

Abysmal - works fine until you have an issue.
Have you tried to solve a problem with a payment? Kiss your money goodbye - they have no interest in helping you as long as their revenue streams keep flooding in. Customer services is a joke & making a complaint is almost impossible. It will always be the customers fault & then they will pass you from pillar to post - merchant to Paypal and back again. I have lost count of the number of e-mails and messages I have sent them. Most companies have a telephone number you can call - not Paypal, they prefer to have a dreadful message system that doesn't work. Paypal is a joke

They never reply to customer's concerns. They closed my account with no explanation. Held my money for over 180 days. They gave me BP and to date they never helped me in any way. Such a big SCAM. There are other options to transact but if you want to risk just use PayPal as your option

Terrible

Countless years of use to have my account closed by them without warning. Rubbish customer service and when you do get through the policies are constantly changed to suit the advisor on the phone. Always side with a buyer so prepare to lose items and money even with signed for delivery. Be warned

DAYLIGHT ROBBERY

So frustrated by this company, whom I have used for years and believed are there to protect my purchasing and transactions done through them. Well it turns out that the seller never took the money from PayPal but they have kept my money and are refusing to return it, daylight robbery and they don’t care, only can speak to a robot too, very frustrating !

Customer service is dreadful

Customer service is dreadful. Paypal does not care about its customers. They will charge you for any transfer you make, they will never refund this even if IT IS THE BUYER WHO WANTS THE REFUND. Their internation rates are astronomically high. DO NOT USE. THERE ARE HIDDEN CHARGES EVERYWHERE. YOU WILL LOSE MONEY.

Trying to contact Paypal is ridicules

Trying to contact Paypal is ridicules. This is the issue that i am trying to resolve but all you get are robots.
I ordered from Marshall's on the 3rd April but unfortunately needed to cancel the order. I tried on numerous occasions to call but was hanging on for nearly 1hr on 2 separate occasions. I then sent an email on the 15th April to cancel the order MG354515.
I received a reply on the 22nd April from a Sam Gowen customers services stating the order was cancelled but no refund this was received at 8-30am. I then got another email stating part of the order was dispatched on the 23rd at 20.58pm. I then another message to advise that I cancelled the order on the 24th April. Still no response or refund.

Please see response from Marshall's. I cancelled the order 7 days prior but Marshall's did not act so they refunded £16.98 but I had paid £27.96 so infect they charged me £10.98 for 3 small plug plants which 1 was dead on arrival. I just think this is appalling on principle I am challenging this with Paypal and my credit card company. I have given 1 star and justifiably.

Paypal Gifts keep your money and don't…

Paypal Gifts keep your money and don't give you your product!

Made a payment one week ago and was told it was put on Fraud alert which was artificial intelligence and could take up to 72 hours at which point the money would be declined or the ordered accepted. I have called three times now and no one seems to be able to process this order. They are aware it is a completely legitimate order but still I wait.

The lady I spoke to today (Rachel) stated she has never come across something being held for this long before and was baffled by what is going on.

That is now over an hour of my time wasted on phone calls and I am still waiting for this order.

Terrible service and no one seems to have a clue! Steer clear of.

The big Paypal bluff...! Fraud company PayPal...! Misleading advertising?

The company PayPal has developed into a fraudulent company and commits the offence of committing fraud and the deliberate misappropriation of customer funds.

1. customer accounts are closed for no reason
2. client funds are embezzled for 21-180 days
3. catastrophic customer sport
4. the advertised buyer protection is not really available and is undermined and leveraged by constantly changing business conditions.
5. there are thousands of complaints to the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) regarding the company PayPal.
6) Thousands of former PayPal users have been charged with fraud and the deliberate misappropriation of customer funds.
7) Many well-known and reputable shops have banned PayPal as a means of payment and replaced it with others.
8. customer data are passed on unauthorized to the company "SANDOW TRUST". Thus it may be possible that you as a customer or seller are blocked on other trading platforms.

etc. etc...

Misleading advertising?
Is this exclusion compatible with the blatant advertising with which PayPal advertises on eBay and other shops?

At least that seems doubtful. Slogans such as: "Free PayPal buyer protection in unlimited amount" or "Always simple and secure" give the impression that effective buyer protection also exists as advertised.

That this is not always the case, however, is shown by research on the Internet. Ever more eBay salesmen - commercial and private - customers of PayPal report on accounts partially blocked for months. The additional demand of proofs and vouchers, which seem to have nothing to do with the auction and similar little comprehensible pitfalls.

But also buyers are often rejected with their application for buyer protection, because in the opinion of PayPal it did not come to a "substantial deviation" of the article to the article description. Such examples were also shown in today's Full Kanne article.

All in all, the buyer protection with PayPal represents nothing more than a gesture of goodwill, to which no claim exists at all on closer inspection. It is solely up to PayPal to let the buyer protection take effect. Against the decision the customer can do finally de facto nothing at all.

Therefore the impression suggests itself, with the advertisement of the official means of payment of a new generation it could concern a misleading advertisement forbidden by the UWG. The consumer is deceived precisely because of the fact that the advertised buyer protection does not exist as a claim at all, but is only placed at the discretion of PayPal as a gesture of goodwill. Buyer protection thus becomes a toothless tiger. The customer, however, weighs himself in security due to the advertising and perhaps rather enters into questionable transactions on the Internet, which he would not have entered into at all with a regular transfer.

But also the promise to sellers is not always kept. Here the impression is created that the turnover of a shop or the eBay account can be increased, since the customer weighs himself in security via PayPal and, as a satisfied customer, gladly returns to the shop to generate further turnover. This may well be the case.
The problem of arbitrariness without the possibility of legal protection had to be experienced by the seller in the second example. His buyer submitted a dubious expert opinion from another merchant and inserted Paypal for the payment...

Better to renounce the buyer protection?

Ultimately, PayPal does not really offer its customers the promised seller and buyer protection. In view of this, the question arises as to whether the service provides both buyers and sellers with extra security on eBay. Because in the case of fraud, a payment that was instructed by PayPal cannot simply be cancelled without PayPal checking the process again. The subsequent procedure with submitting receipts etc. often takes several weeks, in which the real eBay fraudster has long since been over the mountains with the goods.

Conclusion:
1. avoid PayPal as much as possible
2. any credit card payment via an alternative payment provider is much safer, as payments are claimed directly via the card provider.
3 The actual business model of PayPal is absolutely unnecessary.

Ok, If I can give everyone 1 piece of advice.
DO NOT use paypal for high value items. Over £100.00
Pay using a Credit Card, directly with the retailer. You immediately qualify for Section 75 UK consumer protection and your money should be refunded. This protection is not available if you use PAYPAL anywhere in the transaction process.
Stay Safe.

Permanent Limited Account

Permanent Limited Account !
My PayPal account is since 10 year with perfect record, never did something intentional against theirs policy and rules . Now they Limited my account without any explanation or visible reason . No one want to help me or ether respond to my request !
I have previously requested a review/appeal of my case which was denied. Although i still disagree with the decision to deny my appeal i will abide by it however because i feel that holding my founds for 180 days for a non- fraudulent violation of Paypal Acceptable Use Policy is excessive and perhaps a punitive abuse of power.
That is the worst experience i ever had so far.
Paypal policy and theirs customer service are absolutely not acceptable ! They do discriminating our civil rights !

i despise paypal

i buy 5 shirts for $106. 2 arrive: 1 is perfect & the other is WAY off in measurement (not as advertised). the other shirts never show up. i file a complaint w paypal. paypal wants pics and looking back, i have no idea why. i supplied pics and links. the seller and PayPal wanted me to ship back both shirts back to China which would cost me $180. it didnt matter what links i provided nor the pics i supplied to prove my point to paypal.

financially, paying $180 for shipping made no sense to me (esp since this wasnt buyer's remorse) but it did make sense to the seller and some Filipino chick from paypal.

they got my $106 and ive got one shirt. thanks, paypal.
