I recently purchased the new Lomi 3 home composter, and overall, I am incredibly happy with the product and my experience with the company.
The Lomi 3 is a significant improvement in look and size over previous models. It sits beautifully and discreetly on my kitchen countertop. It functions wonderfully, and I use it 2 to 3 times a week. I store the compost for my garden and share the extra with my neighbors. I am so happy with this version that I gifted my older model to my brother.
That said, I did run into an issue with the charcoal filter compartment door on the back of the unit. It was very difficult to open the first time I used it, and even harder the second time when the filter needed changing.
I contacted the company for advice and received a prompt response from a customer service representative named Michael MacDonald. Michael worked with me to figure out a solution immediately. He scheduled a FedEx delivery and pickup for a replacement unit right away. I was pleasantly surprised not to have to wait weeks or months for a resolution.
I don't think I have experienced this kind of efficient and helpful customer service in a long time; it was truly refreshing. Michael’s emails were clear and walked me through the entire return and replacement process seamlessly.
I am thrilled that the replacement unit's compartment door opens with ease, and I am happy once again. I love this product and rate the company's customer service an A+!

I love my Lomi and with the results of what I get from my food scraps my garden this year was awesome because I got a lot of tomatoes and butternut squash so I can’t wait till next year to see what I get and also it’s great. I can use the dirt with my other stuff outside growing and my indoor plants.

Lomi is a trustworthy company with excellent customer service. They truly stand behind their product. Even though my machine was well out of the warranty period, they replaced the bucket for me at no charge because "they didn't want me to lose the ability to keep recycling and making soil for my garden." Unfortunately it is rare to find a company that puts the customer ahead of the profits but the Lomi company clearly does that.

As Lomi composters are a new product, using them can have a fairly steep learning curve. The manual provided is helpful, but doesn't cover all possible problems. Through the email support service, staff provide clear advice and remain accessible if needed.

Great company. I got in on the ground floor, when Lomi was still an indieagogo project in development…..waited and waited for the 1st gens to finally hit the mail, and have loved it ever since. I’m now on the bloom, and the clear lid makes it even better. Customer service has always been excellent, and comprehensively resolves any problems I’ve had. Good stuff :)
