Terrible company
Having been with them since 2014 they have recently for no reason increased mollys premium by £17.00 per month for no reason.. I've not made a claim since 2015 and have a high excess to keep premium low. Tried to phone numerous times to discuss as didn't really want to insure elsewhere after 8 loyal yes.. but can never get through. Our vet has said they are a bad company to deal with so avoid them. I have even advised petplan are excellent so will be going with them
M&S Daylight Robbery
Pet insurance is not worth the paper it's written on especially M&S I am surprised they put their name to such unfair and worthless policy's.
You are pounds better off putting a set amount aside every month to save for those moments your pets need it and look after them.
But if you wish to spend hundreds and thousands to be told your not covered then M&S will oblige.
After my dog received Meningoencephalitis the premiums shot up to £1500 a year also quite honestly I had life time cover and it is very doubtful that she has the illness as she has been 3 yes 3 years without any signs, thank goodness. What a c0mpany to trust....... never again. DONT TRUST M&S PET INSURANCE.
Avoid at all costs
Disgusting company who only want your money, avoid at all costs. They only cover any condition for a maximum of 365 days, which is in no interest of any pet but rather their own pockets. AVOID
I have never had a problem with any of…
I have never had a problem with any of my claims. It does take a bit longer to get money back than with some of the other companies but I have always had the money back with no issues. I insure 6 cats with them.
This is a dreadful insurance company don’t touch them
The only positive thing I can say about this company is that their premiums are reasonable.
This insurance company will find any way it can to get out of paying a claim.
They take weeks to assess your claim and then pay a fraction of what you claim and fall back on the “terms and conditions”.
I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Probably the worst pet insurer in the UK.
My beautiful cat had to be put to sleep…
My beautiful cat had to be put to sleep after being diagnosed with terminal cancer. Claim forms sent to our vet for completion with a stamped envelope to forward to the insurance company. Got a standard email saying forms received fair enough. Then received a cold standard email with a pdf asking me to check details of my claim which was corrupted. I emailed twice asking for them to resend the pdf . No reply. Had to ring to ask for it to be resent. It was then sent to me. The initial email, pdf, person on the phone didn't offer any form of condolence. I know insurance companies have to make money but this blood sucking heartless company who pays less than half what you pay should be AVOIDED. Callous and hard hearted. If you love your pet go with another company. This lot don't give two s.... Hoots.
Do not bother insuring your pet - SERIOUSLY
I have been with these people for 10 years since my dog was a puppy. I got the lifetime insurance policy, as everyone told me this is the safest way to ensure you are covered for anything that develops.
My monthly premium was about £22 when I started, and today (I have just cancelled my policy) it stands at over £46.
My dog has 2 lifelong issues, an eye problem and dermatitis.
Ever since he was diagnosed, around 4 or 5 years ago, I sourced the drugs from petdrugsonline as it was so much cheaper than via my vet. After much wrangling petinsurance.co.uk agreed NOT to charge me for the prescription costs as I was saving them so much money.
They have now started charging me for the delivery costs of the drugs even though I go through the pain of ordering the drugs, paying for the drugs, waiting for the forms etc.
If you are getting a dog, my advice would be to put the £25 in a drawer each month. If anything happens, use this nest egg to pay the vet. If not, buy a bottle of wine.
Insurance is a complete rip off - do not use.
I looked at my bank and realised that in the last 12 months they have paid out £404 to me, whilst I have paid them in the region of £560.
I would think more twice about inasuring…
I would think more twice about insuring any pet with this company. I insured our cat with them for around 10 years. Year after year as the cat aged the cost went up until the monthly insurance payments doubled. About 3 years ago my cat suffered thyroid problems I decided that rather than putting him through an operation I would treat him with medication, and at £80 a bottle ( lasting around 8 to 10 weeks ) with my monthly insurance payments and their excesses they were taking back most of my insurance claims. Three months ago I had to have my cat put down as his condition he had become very ill through his thyroid condition. This morning I found a claims rejection email in my spam folder saying my claim for £160 for medication and the cost of having my cat put to sleep £80 should be my responsibility as with the deduction of excesses on my policy wipes my claim out. Read the small print before taking out any policy with this company. Awful
Petinsurance.co.uk is the worst company…
Petinsurance.co.uk is the worst company I have ever dealt with. My cat was hit by a car and they have been beyond useless all the way through the process. The policy does not cover the full amount for hospitalization and call out etc, they are capped way under the average amount. You have to chase them to keep the claim moving. Please do not take out this policy if you want peace of mind, they will try their hardest to get out of paying out! They have made a very stressful situation even worse. AVOID THIS COMPANY
One star far too many.
One star far too many for this appalling company.
Payout on insurance claim for £1500 (after all the necessary documentation from both me and vets that treated my car sent within four days) CUT BACK BY MORE THAN A THIRD over a month later!
No justification or explanation for deduction of just over £125 for 'Over.max hospitalisation' fees, when cat was only with the vets for a day and a half.
And no justification or explanation for deduction of just over another £300 for 'Percentage Excess' - and that after 'Fixed excess' deduction of £140.
Innumerable requests for explanation/ justification of above, with reference to any policy stipulations, simply blanked.
COMPANY BEST WELL AVOIDED!
Just had a renewal quote for 350%…
Just had a renewal quote for 350% increase in premiums, no claims, no problems, just your pet insurance has "changed" I think they are trying to flog something else, anyway, ridiculous cost now, mental! Now I have to waste time to find another company.
This company try to lure you in on a sensible price then try to bend you over at renewal perhaps hoping people won't notice for a while.
If I could give 0 stars I would
If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not go with this company , they have got out of the very few claims that we made and now our dog has died , they said we were not covered for everything, when this was the policy they sold us. They change things in the policy (which is stupidly long) and hide what they've taken out. They've taken £1000's off of us. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY.
Very poor service
MoreThan agreed two payments back to me on the 29th July, stating there would be a 3-5 working day period before they would be in my account.
I called on the 13th August as i had received no payments to be told they got lost in the system. Only for my call where they aware of this. They agreed to issue two cheques to me instead which will take 10 days to be posted, and a further 5 days to clear my account. Unacceptable service - it will be a month after the payments have been agreed by the time they reach my account
Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs . If you need to phone them you will be kept on hold for ever . The premium has has risen by 66% this year to insure a cat that has no claims . Customer service at pet-isurance.co.uk is abysmal.
We have just received our yearly update…
We have just received our yearly update figure for our 2 dogs who we have had insured with this company for 8 and 11 years. One dogs policy increased by £20 per month and the other by £25. As usual you phone them and your figure will come down, but £5 on £50 is little and £3 on £25 even less. Now got both dogs insured for £40. Pet-insurance you need to stop ripping off your loyal customers. Certainly all our family members will be advised to change from you.
DO NOT USE MORETHAN PET INSURANCE
I have just received my new policy for my dog and was annoyed to find that More than pet insurance had put my policy up by 100%, when I called to discuss this i was told that because I claimed last year it was obvious the insurance would go up, I asked if there was anything he could do he said no, as I was not liable for a discount, I asked what did I have to do to get a discount, he said he could not tell me, but the computer said no.i have now cancelled policy as I cannot to pay 100% mark up. Disgusting
I strongly advise anyone to keep away…
I strongly advise anyone to keep away from this company , they just want to insure young dogs whom they know will have little or no claims .
Unimpressed I have been with pet insurance for a…
I have been with pet insurance for a lot of years. The reason for going with this company was they looked after older pets and they wouldn’t put policy up much above inflation. Also for a small amount I could take a more stronger policy. The last three years they have tried to put our policy up between 60 and 80 percent so after arguing with them and telling them I would take them to the ombudsman they then brought it down to a well above inflation price. But I did except this because I was tired of arguing with them. I have just had this year’s policy come in it has gone up from £18 to £36 a month. I can’t go through it this year so I’m cancelling my policy just what they wanted. They say they love animals. Tell that to marmite our cat when he gets ill and we can’t afford to treat him. I had to give a star before writing this and 1 was the lowest I could give . My honest rating is Nero. Yours Kathy Stitchman.
Just cancelled my policy
Just cancelled my policy. They send you 25 pages of terms and conditions and now where do they say what they will cover. Guess what, whenever you enquire if something is covered they say no! No point in using this company. Oh and ignore Feefo as they are review by invite only!
Good Insurer
I think some of the reviews on this page aren’t related to pet-insurance.co.uk, so it distorts their rating. I have two cats and a dog insured with them and they have been really good. We had a terrible year with all three pets a couple of years ago, when they all needed treatment (one thing after another) and we had no trouble. Claiming was easy, and money was in my account within a week or so. I had read reviews and was worried at the time, but they were honestly great for us. I then thought my premium would go up, but it has only gone up by a couple of pounds in total for all three. I’ve stuck with them since then.
